   Took 15 minutes to get a server to our table and even when we did, she couldn’t get everything together. Our food was delivered before everyone got there drinks. One girl didn’t get here drink until we were pretty much done with all of our apps. They were severely understaffed for a Saturday night. I’ve always had a great experience coming for brunch and this was the first time coming for dinner.

   Very disappointed by the fact they called me at 4:15pm looking to have me come in earlier than ym scheduled reservation of 6:45. They wanted me there at 5:45 and with childcare that was impossible - mayve I’d they called earlier than 4:15pm since they were open at 11am. My reservation was cancelled because they did not make me feel welcome to keep my scheduled time.

   I always love this place, fun and the food is consistently great. I wish I could remember our waiters name, but he was friendly, attentive, and just fantastic! Music gets a little loud, especially when it’s piped into the hidden away booths. Just made it a little bit harder to hear each other, but otherwise everything was great!

   This place is very nice inside the drinks were good app portions were a little small we were early for our 6:45 reservation which was a good thing because we we're told that they closed at 7 shortly after our our app and 1st drink arrived,🤷‍♂️

   The food here and drinks are excellent. The cucumber infused gin and tonic is delicious. The atmosphere is tops in Portland. Great ambiance.

    Great brunch to celebrate an early Mother's Day with family. We had a wonderful seat, great food, and really enjoyed our time. Music was a little loud, but overall a perfect midday treat for everyone.

    Love Batson River--great food, great for bunch. One thing, however, their coffee/tea game is a little sad for a place serving brunch. I get that they specialize in booze (and the Bloodies are yummy!), but, for traditional breakfast beverages, they just have straight up drip coffee, and the bar tender who served us didn't know what the tea choices were aside from Earl Gray. When my husband was served his tea, it came in a mug that was only 2/3 filled with water and had a tea bag in it--no cream/milk, etc., no sweetener (he was asked if he wanted honey earlier and said no, but wasn't provided other options), and no saucer top put the tea bag on. In the grand scheme of things, we had a fabulous meal but, if you're serving brunch in 2023, I think you should have an espresso machine and give the same attention to serving someone tea that you do for the rest of your beverages.

    The food and service was excellent and the ambiance is outstanding. We had the fish and chips and the pulled pork sandwich and both were very,very good. We will be back soon! Loved the whole experience.

    Amazingly cool atmosphere and very fun food. We went for brunch and found the menu to have a large and varied selection. Fun cocktails and beers. So many interesting seating areas. All the waitstaff, servers and hosts couldn’t have been nicer!

    I thought it was generally good. Too loud for anyone over 30 yrs old. Got no complaints on the food my party got. I would have liked to see more selections in the entre section, and I am not sure they had a normal garden salad. Fun place.

    Enjoyed a wonderful Easter brunch! The pear cocktail and cranberry mimosa were delicious and our meal, huevos rancheros and sausage and biscuits, were excellent! Great service and cool vibe. Definitely recommend!

    Our waiter Josh was absolutely the best! He was very attentive, had great recommendations, and kept everything flowing smoothly while managing multiple larger party tables. He made our first experience at Batson a memorable one and we will definitely be back! The food was good, the drinks were great, and I think the prices were fair for Portland. The ambiance and vibe of the whole place was enough to make us want to come back again soon and bring more friends along! We will definitely be suggesting this location to others!     I went for Sunday drag brunch with my sisters and we had a blast. Wish the music was a little louder and better quality during the show but that's the only minor 'con' I can think of. The food and drinks came out quickly and our server was still very attentive to us even with the show going on.

    This place is mega cool inside, very large party friendly (meaning more than 4 people!) The Drinks were well done, unique and splendid! I suggest a reservation. We had plenty of time at our table and then moved to the bar because we didn't want to leave! Warm Beet salad and scallops for dinner. so delish!!

    Have been to Batson Portland before but sad to say I brought friends here for a night out midweek and the service was horrible. Waitress wouldn't look at us and stared at hand held device entire time. When our party of six asked for two bottles of water she asked "do you really need two?" When we asked for refills on a soda and beverage she never returned and we had to go to the bar ourselves to get our beverages. Clearly this waitress didn't want to be working and it made us as patrons want to ask for a new waitress before we even ordered our meal. We asked to speak to the manager after our experience and were reassured this type of service would never happen again.

    Good food, great beer poor service. Waitress started off great and then would disappear. Ordered more beer and took about 30 minutes to get… it was 3pm and they weren’t busy. Beer was no longer cold but she never came back again. Guessing her shift was over so another random waiter came over about 45 minutes later to just drop off the check.

    1st time visiting the Portland location. Recommended by a friend. Great atmosphere to just hang out and relax. We tried both the local brew and homemade cocktails... very good. Service prompt and friendly. Food was excellent and just the way were ordered it.
