we went on a Saturday evening, and it was WAY too noisy, we could hardly hear each other talk, all we wanted to do was eat quickly and get out of there ASAP. not sure if anything could be done to absorb some of the noise, maybe weekdays are better?

BC Kitchen has become our go to spot pre and post concerts. It's a busy venue, but the servers and Manger do their best to provide quality service. We enjoy the variety of the menu and have never been disappointed with the food. We had such a good experience the last time that we visited the restaurant twice - pre and post the Luke Combs show this Saturday! I would definitely recommend BC Kitchen as the go to spot for casual dining with an atmosphere when in the area for an event.

There were so many things wrong with this dining experience it will not all fit in the review - drinks did not show up until the 3rd time I asked, after appetizer was finished (my drink never showed up) - no cutlery provided for dinner. Asked 3 times before it showed up - dirty dishes were never cleared from table, yet our server and numerous others walked past and left them. Even when our bill was dropped off plates we’re not cleared. I left the bill folder on a plate of chicken wing bones from our appetizer. - ordered Prime Rib dinner. This was flavourless, served with 3 slices of over cooked potato. Not a whole potato. 3 small pieces. And a couple vegetable. Which were actually cooked perfectly. It came with a cold white bun instead of Yorkshire - server said she would replenish popcorn. I gave up. She honestly had no idea what was going on. She kept saying she would bring items that never showed up. Completely terrible service. - I will never return - I don’t even know how they have anyone dine there. Prices are ludicrous, service is some of the worst I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor - SKIP this place all together

Did the special prime rib meal and it was very good. Tasty and fair portion for price. Started with the dry ribs but we didn't like the lime seasoning so had them take it back. Portion was small for the price. We were also given complimentary ketchup flavoured popcorn, which was nice. Service was good with plenty of seating available in establishment located right on the casino floor. Happy we tried.

Food was ok. Nothing to die for. Broccoli had way too much pepper on it. The Yorkshire pudding was dry. Size of prime rib was good. But they cheaped out on the roasted potatoes. Only gave us 5 little pieces. Service was ok. Took awhile to get the not so good horseradish. Overall I would give our experience a 6/10.

We were very pleased with our visit to this restaurant! This was the first time we were there. I had the prime rib special and it was wonderful! The prime rib was cooked perfectly and was a generous tender juicy cut! The Yorkshire pudding was fluffy! The broccoli was cooked just right! The roast potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside. I got a nice portion of au jus as well. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Great place to watch the Canucks game! Not as busy and loud as most popular sports bars so it was nice to be able to have a conversation without having to be loud. Service is very friendly. The food looked good but maybe I was just unlucky as the game day special double burger I ordered had a strong gas/propane flavor. The patties were broiled which is great, but the gassy flavor was not something I would've expected. My friend said his burger was fine so I was probably just unlucky. Note to the chef, this suggests the grill has incomplete combustion, which likely means either the fuel air mixture being set wrong, or being upset by having debris, etc. blocking the air intakes. The flames should be pure blue, no yellow when the air mixing is set correctly. I want to point this out as some people can get really sick from ingesting gas. Burger snafu aside, I'd likely return again for another game day because of the ambiance.

Definitely a good idea to make a reservation when events are taking place at BC Place. The food and drinks were good, however, it did take a while to get everything; our appetizers came out with our food. Service could be improved, our waitress appeared to be too busy taking care of the bigger tables, so we hardly saw her.

I'm happy to see improvements and will be back for my next pre-event dinner in a couple weeks. May even come early and spend some $$ at the slots.

We went for their Family Day prime rib special, unfortunately they ran out by the time we got there. They still honoured the special price and substituted a 10 ounce striploin. I had the modified special, my husband had the chicken sandwich and I had a Hat Trick cocktail. Overall food was hot, well prepared and was good quality. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a sports bar. TVs everywhere, lots of cool memorabilia. Our server was fantastic. Friendly and efficient even though she was ridiculously busy.

Hostess was quite inattentive and tried to attend to the person behind us (who told her clearly that we were first, and she ignored that). Quite rude behaviour and made us feel unvalued. Food was good but table service was also lacking (slow with only one check in throughout our meal). We didn’t bother to stay for dessert and coffee

So we decided to give this place a go as we haven’t been back since the pandemic started and I hoped that it would have improved during this time as prior to, this restaurant needed to improved with both service as well as food. We arrived early by 10 minutes and the receptionist acknowledged me right away but my guest was off in the casino so I excused myself to find them ..arriving back there was a different person who asked for my name but for some reason I seemed to have disappeared on their system 🤨 eventually having to show my reservation .. finally getting seated the waitress presented water then disappeared running back and forth serving other patrons .. she ultimately was entertaining a rather loud table of 5 (4 ladies and an extremely loud male ) she asked a server to bring a hot water that my guess had asked for from the waitress but I guess she was distracted.. in any case it took about 15-20 minutes before we could order .. a Caesar salad and two Primerib steaks .. waiting about another 15 before the salad arrive but no plates to eat 🤦‍♂️ presented by a guy who was probably either the bartender or the manager .. the Primerib looked familiar .. medium rare a few clusters of broccoli, a few halved roast potatoes and the Yorkshire pudding which looked like a pie versus a high puffy version that I know of .. and a side of gravy.. the veggies were good as was the au jus but the Primerib was quite difficult to cut and just as tough to chew.. so this hasn’t changed since the first time .. unlike probably the Best Primerib that I’ve ever had from Black Angus .. in any case, if you want a more quiet evening , don’t go when there is a game on at either stadium .. but when that extremely loud table left the anxiety level dropped and ironically the service level grew.. so all in all not enough improvement.I probably wouldn’t be coming back on purpose unless I was doing the casino.. oh and by the way, if you have an Encore members card you’ll get a discount

This was a redemption dinner after our first time was a disaster (I'm sure you can find my scathing review from Jan'23). It didn't start out well with us waiting way too long for drinks or any sort of service. So, I flagged down manager Albert to let him know who I was and boy, did the service change! It was over the top and our entire bill was taken care of, which I very much appreciate and was not expecting. Here's the thing, the food here is above average good. I've got zero complaints about any of the items I've tried. As a matter of fact, the buffalo cauliflower bites are off the charts amazing!! This place has a great location, has a good vibe and not pretentious despite being in the casino. I will go back and hopefully, fingers crossed, the service is better. I really want this place to be my go-to before games and events.

Came by mid week to sample their Dine Out Vancouver menu...which looked good on paper. The restaurant is at the back end of the casino on the 2nd floor. The room is quite large with multiple seating options including booths and multiple screens showing sports. It has high ceilings and large floor to ceiling windows. We were two of only four patrons in the entire restaurant. Our server was pleasant but not very attentive as we often had to wave to get her attention. We split the caesar salad and dry ribs for the appies. The salad was ok...nothing special and the dry ribs were pretty good. We split the burger, fried chicken and rack of ribs for the mains. The burger was the star of the show...juicy, tasty and I liked the addition of the onion ring. The chicken was bad...a boneless breast partially battered and over fried. The ribs were tasteless...think these must have been boiled first. Churros for dessert....they were cooked well but served with rock hard dulce de leche. They do have a nice selection of beer on draft and wines. It was not a very positive food experience and I have no plans to return.

Met clients here for a pre hockey game dinner. We were informed about the restaurant from a friend who is the former GM of the hotel. The restaurant itself was fine. What would be expected of a sports bar in a casino room. We had quite an early reservation so the restaurant was not yet at capacity. There was lots of staff bustling around but our server was extremely unattentive. She completely forgot to bring drinks to my client guests and we had to flag down another server just to have her come back to our table so we could inquire about the long delay (1/2 hour!!). We ordered something to eat which actually came quite quickly but our server just dropped the items and didn't bother explaining what was for each of us. The manager subsequently brought some of the other items (he was attentive!) and we had to ask him and flag him down again to get utensils and condiments for our table. I had to flag her down again to get the bill and tell her that we were done. Extremely disappointed and my clients were definitely not impressed. I'm actually booked to come back to the hotel (and restaurant) on Feb 11th in celebration of a 50th birthday and I'm now considering changing our dining location as it was really sub standard. HORRIBLE SERVICE! 3 hostesses doing nothing but chatting; a manager wandering around but not interacting with customers at all; wait staff that completely ignored us and seemed to be unsure about their own sections; food was good - when we finally got to place our order. We could have spent SO MUCH more money. I was looking for a new dinner place pre-events (Canucks, concerts, Whitecaps) but it turns out this isn't it. I would rather eat/drink at the stadium and that says a LOT because it's expensive in there. And for those that want to know: I did finally track down the manager and he couldn't even look at me as I told him my concerns. They really don't care so just don't even bother with the place. It has potential but it's being squandered.
