I have eaten at Beach House many times and had a satisfactory experience but was very disappointed this time around to the point that I am embarrassed for having recommended it. My meal was completely over cooked to the point that the sable fish was mushy so, for the first time in my life, I sent it back the kltchen. The replacement meal, sable fish, was also over-cooked but edible. The vegetables were flavourless. My meal was taken off the bill but not my friend's. Her dinner was totally over-cooked salmon that was dry and band. The calmari appetizer was good. There are no starter salads on the menu, very few gluten and dairy free options on menu and no gluten or wheat free options on the dessert menu, at all. Service was friendly but too slow to come and rushed when he did show up. This place has the potential to be great but Earl's needs to step up the game at this location. I simply can not recommend this restaurant at this time.

As usual food was served in a timely manner and was good value. Service plunged after food arrived. Finally when we got to order a coffee, after 20 mins we were told it was just been made. Asked for th bill with our coffees. 10 more minutes coffee arrived no bill. Asked for bill again. Another 7 minutes. Eating at the bar is always 10/10. Won't be going back to dining room 3rd time disappointed with service!

It was a great atmosphere and our table wait staff was very nice. Food was consistent but nothing exciting. The only thing that was an irritant was the when the lead mgr kept interrupting our meal to ask if we would rate their service as “exceptional”. We indicated that for the time being it “was met” but that we could not rate it as exceptional as we just started our meals. Perhaps it would have been better to ask at the end of the meal…

Very nice restaurant to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday. My mother uses a walker and the staff were very accommodating. My mother really enjoyed her lunch and of course the view. Food and service was exceptional. We will definitely come back.

Always wanted to try this place and saw they had a three course menu for a limited time. The price was $60pp and I should have took a pic of it but I forgot. Our server told us about the daily Special $42 which was maple soy glazed sable fish with potatoes, broccolini and asparagus with a truffle butter which made us decide not to choose the three course menu. We also got the seafood platter which was good but I wish the oysters was something else because I’m not a fan of oysters. Overall I found my entree a bit bland the fish was great but the sides with it was mediocre with just the fish

The service and ambience was excellent! The food was delicious, but my shrimp and scallop spaghettini could have been warmer. And we did feel that the server was trying to “upsell” us a bit.

Got there early for lunch with colleagues. Prompt attention to the table which was the correct type of table for me. Crowds picked up during the 90 minutes there, but other customers were placed apart to keep it evened out. The music was turned up, probably not needed as the crowd overall was older and not in party mode. My only issue was with the shrimp and Crab Louie salad. It was excellent but the bacon was flavored, maybe maple? I recommend a plain bacon as the flavored bacon overpowers the more subtle crab and shrimp flavors.

I eat at the Beach House pretty frequently and generally only have good things to say but I had never brought a vegetarian guest ( non fish-eater ) there before . So the ONLY thing on the menu that didnt have meat or fish was the Impossible Burger .....which was pretty limiting ! Even all the salads had a meat / fish addition ......the Server was very helpful and my guest got a Cobb salad minus the chicken/ bacon and with an extra egg. But honestly , I was pretty surprised that there wasnt more choice for a vegetarian ? ( Obviously not a location for vegans ! )

Absolutely delicious. Maitre D’ Vincent is very friendly and professional. The spicy clam spaghetti is spectacular. Crab cake is a must. Yuzu Calamari is perfect. Braised short rib Pappardelle is worth trying. Miso Sablefish is a star. Love the open breezy outdoor solarium but can be hot from heat lamps.

Superb food, very good service and great wine specials on Tuesdays, Excellent Kuschi oysters, oven cooked salmon really good with nicely done potatoes and other vegetables. The sablefish was just as good. All at a fair priceand will definitely return.

The low service rating was due to 40 min wait for our appetizers and dinner I assume the " kitchen was working as fast as possible but perhaps understaffed?" No reflection on the fabulous servers who were outstanding as was the floor manager. Very busy last night or not so busy and short staffed ???? We arrived at 4pm for happy hour and ordered our wine immediately and food shortly thereafter Again, other than the long wait for the food it was as enjoyable as always. And the servers and manager were super pleasant and acommodating Will Return

Service was excellent. But for godssakes, up the food game. One of the most beautiful settings in Vancouver with one of the most boring limited menus. The kitchen is on autopilot. Even airline catering tries harder and succeeds compared to the “I guess they’ll eat anything” company philosophy pervasive in the kitchen. You can do better. Do better.

My favorite restaurant in Vancouver. Have had all my special events here. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are on top of their game when it comes to customer service and noticing details. The restraunts is warm and welcoming. They have of course excellent seafood. I have the oysters which are great and varied depending on the catch. The Vongolie pasta is out of this world good. It's a bit pricey, but you definitely get your monies worth. Also to mention is the location which is in one of the gems of Vancouver. Right on Ambleside walk in West Vancouver. If you walk in and book a table and need to wait, just head outside and enjoy Vancouver's famouse ambleside walk. Also perfect for date nights.

Terrible service. Long wait for food. The crab was canned (the manager told us) after the manager boasted that they are a seafood restaurant when he seated us. Food quality was disappointing as was the entire experience right down to odour in the bathroom.

It is a wonderful location and view; and the restaurant is very pretty. The welcoming is great, and the waiters and staff are very attentive, to a fault. We were asked a little bit too many times how we were doing, were explained the menu in its entirety as if we couldn’t read it ourselves, and every time the waiter arrived we were rudely interrupted in our conversation. The food was okay, but overpriced. Overall we were left a little disappointed, and a bit bothered by the constant interruptions. One staff member asked us how the service was right in the middle of our stay a little bit abruptly and not in an open-ended way. It was a little bit disturbing, to be honest. But the view is great!
