Love this place! Great bar and decor!
Been before. Will go again.
Went for dinner with my family. The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in. Everyone enjoy the food and drinks! We will definitely return.
Thank you Alex and Pat and Thomas, welcome to the Beacon team
You all always make me feel at home, very much appreciated
I am from out of town, and picked this place based on the location just a few blocks from my hotel. Great neighborhood. The restaurant is absolutely lovely and very cozy. The food was amazing (I am still thinking about that roasted carrot appetizer). I had an amazing glass of chardonnay. I ordered chicken, which is sometimes an afterthought on a restaurant menu, and it was scrumptious. I was catching up with an old friend and the atmosphere was perfect for that -- quiet enough for us to talk but not so quiet that our boisterous conversation bothered anyone. The service was perfect -- very friendly and professional. Sure, it would have been nice if Beacon were less expensive, but for the quality and the location the prices were fair. I will definitely visit again when I am in Chicago.
Frequent diner of Beacon Tavern. Their lunch pre fix is a great deal and the service is always wonderful!
Great service and great food. The Lawless family always puts together a great team.
Overall very good...consistency of the shrimp burger was a bit weird. Also need to expand soup choices beyond clam chowder and the 1/2 sandwich with the 1/2 and 1/2 was more like 1/3.
Love the ambiance, lighting and furnishings. The menu is expansive, perfect for all my guests from steak to chicken, fish, & pasta, great attention to flavor and presentation. Excellent wine and cocktail menu. Service was special too, we were well attended to. I always dine here whenever I'm in town - family favorite, and we're treated like family!
Best Bloody Mary bar ever!
We had a truly outstanding meal at Beacon. There was a very fun vibe, the menu was awesome and the food was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend!
We had a great dinner experience on New Year's Eve. We had the seabass for two and the clam chowder as appetizers. We would recommend Beacon Tavern.
I needed a great ending to a year I’ve struggled with. And Beacon Tavern provided that. One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten and matched with spotless effortless efficient service. I can not describe how perfect this meal was. And it’s nothing new at Beacon. This is a restaurant that consistently hits the ball out of the park. The effort from back of house are fun fresh and show a brigade on top of their game. Front of house is fantastic. Cocktails are made with great attention to detail. This is a restaurant worth finding.
What an enjoyable dining experience! Chef Broskey and his team create some of the finest dishes we have every experienced. Relaxed, with just enough formality to be a special treat. And the icing on the cake is the outstanding service. Thanks again Antonio. We'll be back for sure!
The food was excellent. The service was friendly and accommodating. Dining room was lovely. I would absolutely return to the Beacon Tavern for brunch.
Great place , very good ambiance,
The waitress was quirky and fun. The food was really good especially the fish and chips! Best ever outside Trafalger Square!!!
This is a great place, and I’d highly recommend it. Nothing was lacking, everything was very good!
The food was delicious and the environment is buzzy and yet relaxing.
We went to Beacon Tavern for a work team holiday lunch. Our server was mildly haughty from the beginning. Nothing shocking, just initially not very friendly. When the food came, however, two out of our party of five were brought the wrong dishes. No apology was immediately forthcoming - rather, our server acted like it was our fault. Eventually she came back and acknowledged that at least one of two errors was her mistake (“that one was my mistake” - we know!), but begrudgingly. When the two mistakes were finally corrected - after half of our party had to wait for quite some time without food - she came back and had the temerity to ask, “Is everything good so far?” No, it wasn’t. Things were ok after that, but the food was just ok and the value was nonexistent. They charged $20 for a kale salad with chicken, for goodness sake! They made a nice gesture of sending us home with some wrapped macarons but, while somewhat placating, it really didn’t do anything to make up for the rude service and unremarkable yet expensive food. I will not visit Beacon Tavern again.
I love the food- simple but with a lot of flavor. Service is terrific.
The ambiance of the setting particularly at this season is great; while the menu is limited it offers seasonal dishes and unique pairings. The burger is s great example.
Thank you to Ben, I’ll, Madeline and Grayson for continuing to make the holidays special
Great group at Beacon Tavern
Service was first class. Food was very good. We enjoyed our evening!
My wife and I in Chicago for weekend. Enjoyed Beacon Tavern. Great atomosphere in bar area. Terrific service from staff.
Great food and service.
Great food and service
Beacon Tavern is amazing! The dining room is smaller compared to other restaurants in the area so reservations are a must but that keeps the noise level down to an enjoyable but lively level.
Food & drinks were amazing. Service was awesome as well. Highly recommend if visiting Chicago
Dinner was all good - All very nice - I would go again as a small group or a large group
The service was great! The pork chop was fabulous and so was the fish!!!!
Company holiday luncheon
We had a great meal and dining experience during the Sunday evening Supper Club. It was a well executed theme.
Staff was very attentive. The staff did not rush us.
Appreciate the recommendations for their festive desserts. Will return!
Fabulous servers, very attentive and knowledgeable. Made you feel like you were the only people they were serving. Food was unique and delicious. Definitely plan on coming again!
My wife and I were in Chicago for a weekend away. We are at a few new places and a few of our favorites, Beacon included.
The beet salad and carrots were on point as was the cheddar biscuits. She ordered the fall pasta with butternut squash. Holy cow amazing. I ordered the catch of the day...
Flavor was amazing but...they forgot to debone the fish. Fortunately I caught it quickly and sent it back. But here’s the thing people, mistakes happen. They shouldn’t but the do. And here is what Beacon did.
1. Apologized profusely
2. Made us the most ridiculous dessert of all time (seriously, think creamsicle meets candied cranberries meets cheesecake)
3. Brought us some bourbon to our with our dessert
4. Comp’d the fish and dessert
So ya the fish was a bummer. But here’s what I know-they went above and beyond to show us they cared and to keep us coming back. They made it right and we will be back.
We have never had a bad meal at Beacon and that is still true today. Can’t recommend this place enough.
The service and food was outstanding. We had a celebration dinner and really enjoyed it.
Very nice staff. Very accommodating. The food was also very good.
