   This by far is one of the best breakfast and brunch restaurant in Victoria. The atmosphere is excellent as is the food and service.

   Bear and Joey is always a great experience and the food is unique and very good. From our greeting outside at arrival the service was great. This is not a criticism but I just find that "seasoned" servers are warmer and more genuine and younger ones feel like they're doing business. It's just a personal thing for me and what I look for. Our mushroom toast was barely warm too and maybe that's the way it's served, but it seemed odd to have a cold poached egg and cold mushrooms. It was very delicious despite that. Wonderful combination of flavours. I had stated that this visit was for a birthday and no mention was made of that fact. The restaurant itself is lovely and the youthful energy is pleasant and not too loud. Overall it was great and I'll definitely recommend it and return myself.

   Great place for brunch in Victoria but make sure you make a reservation so you are not disappointed. If you love french toast there's is the best!! Staff are all wonderful - polite friendly and always with a smile.

    Unique atmosphere with its Australian inspiration. Food and drinks are always pleasing! Brunch with a tasty twist. Service is wonderful. The owner is often the one "manning" the door. Highly recommended!!

    we weren't seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. The restaurant was very busy and service was somewhat slow and our server seemed rushed. Our drinks and food came quickly though and they were good. One of our diners forgot to ask for GF bread and they were very accommodating.

    Great brunch spot with quality ingredients and selection of meals. I found it a little noisy as restaurant was full with people chatting and having a good time but my mom was missing a lot of our conversation at the table. Love the concept and atmosphere. My third time here and will go back for sure again. Thanks!

    The portions were quite small and expensive. But other than that everything was phenomal. All the food tasted delicious too!! Very cute place to go have a little brunch

    The food was outstanding and the service was great. I was planning on bringing clients to the restaurant who could not make it last minute - which I think was good - as the noise level was likely too loud. But my husband and I loved the place :)

    Overall, great food and nice surroundings, but service was VERY spotty. Had a reservation and as we were sat to a table by the kitchen we were told very sternly we only had 1.5 hours. Then we had a procession of 4 different servers who didn’t seem to talk to each other, and blame the other for mix-ups with drinks, and delays with food.

    Great food and ambience! The service lacked a little in efficiency and organization which is unfortunate because Bear & Joey is NOT inexpensive. Also there are NO Alcohol Free beverage and drink options!!

    The service here was above and beyond! We ordered the pork belly sandwich and the bread pudding. The pork belly was cooked to perfection and although it was fatty, the acidity from the pickled cabbage and aioli balanced it perfectly. The bread pudding was like nothing we've seen before. The tomato jam and mango chutney added layers of complexity to this dish. Even though we were only able to visit once this trip, this is definitely our favourite brunch spot on the island!
