Overall very disappointing.
Wins: vegetarian eggplant main was delicious. The pregnant person at our table enjoyed the virgin cocktail and non alcoholic IPA.

Loses:
Bland and ill prepared food (raw squash in the pasta, dry guinea fowl, overall unbalance seasoning). Too loud to hear the server or each other but I couldn’t tell you what music, if any, was playing. The decor was generic and corporate. Waited for over 30 minutes for our check. In a city of amazing food, restaurants, and experiences this was a total disappointment. I was embarrassed to have brought my husbands family here.

They make sure everything is prefect!
They go a long way to compose with locally sourced product which is a big challenge with changing seasons.
Thank you for this great experience

We were two couples and we spent a wonderful evening together. The restaurant is very pretty, the service was excellent and the atmosphere superb for a terrific dining experience. We would have preferred more choices for the main course, especially more vegetarian options. The wine sommelier was very knowledgeable and most helpful. This is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Montreal. Congratulations.

Did not deliver on either food or experience considering prices. Meat was cooked excellently but accompanying sauces were bitter tasting and not well seasoned. Vegetable dishes were ok (with exception of special mushroom side And French fries which were exceptional). Dessert (pudding chomeur) was a major let down and ended a meal that was not worth repeating, especially considering the Price and lackluster atmosphere. If you are a vegetarian, abstain. Their solution is to remove meat ingredient and not replace it with something else other than adding a veggie side! No onsite parking and street parking available only after 7 pm so plan on later dinner. Dishes were well presented but it was annoying that wait staff felt the need to deliver the entire dish description which was obviously learned by heart since they were completely caught off guard if you interrupted them. I do not have a cognitive problem and I m not an Iron Chef judge. No need to explain in details what I am about to eat. Unless it is totally unrecognizable visually....which they were not.

This was my first visit to Beau Mont. Its location is somewhat improbable, but the interior of the restaurant is stylish. I ate at the bar and had excellent, charming service from the barman (I neglected to ask his name). I was fortunate that the restaurant had bluefin tuna caught off the Gaspé on the menu. The serving was fairly small (often the case with tuna), but the small bits of the tuna liver added an interesting touch. I had a delicious side of grilled celeriac - apparently a house specialty - with my main. My dessert was a mille-feuille of apples which was quite simply exquisite. Beau Mont is a strong addition to the Montréal restaurant scene.

Chaotic in terms of service. Multiple waiters for the table, being asked multiple times about orders that had already been taken.

Food, although good, lacking creatively. A bit bland for our taste

Great culinary experience and amazing service with Claire and Bobby!
Food was served in a simple manner but with a great care and high quality tasting.
They have a very nice wine list and great wine mastery knowledge from Claire and Bobby.
In all, a MUST for any special occasion or a simple great meal in a very cosy environment.

I prefer the bar seating experience with the kitchen opened behind and direct access to the staff but the back support was not the best.. it’s a real bar seating;)

The service was quite problematic, where we had to flag down our waiter at every single step of the meal (to remind them of picking up our order, ordering drinks, reminding them of dessert and coffee, etc.) This continued after we told them we were in a rush and hoped things would pick up. Very disappointing unfortunately. The food was good besides that, although some menu descriptions are sometimes misleading. The restaurant juste opened, so I’m thinking these issues will most likely be addressed and corrected quickly.

We were visiting from the states for our anniversary and I chose Beau Mont based on Eater 's "hot new restaurants" and decent reviews on open table along with its affiliation to Toque. However, I was so disappointed in our meal. We started the evening with a couple good cocktails at the bar and following the bartender's glowing recommendations for entrees; we took our seats and ordered the Poultry pate, the bluefin tuna and dry aged beef steak. The pate was fine and the seared tuna was not bad but the presentation totally lacked character with simple watermelon slices on top and a bland sauce. But the steak was unacceptable for a noted dining establishment. A flat, tasteless piece of meat with a few potato fries on top. And not a hint of truffle in the sauce. For $48 cad it was way overpriced along with the bottle of wine we ordered recommended by the "wine specialist." I understand a markup of 2x but we discovered (googled it), that it was 3.5x That's not necessary. I did not want to be let down by the restaurant I researched and selected so I had to hopefully end on a high note and ordered the chocolate torte which was good but it's pretty tough to mess up chocolate. Really, this restaurant needs to up its game or close. They are riding on the Toque name but deceiving people with the contemporary decor, high prices and marginal food. The chef should be ashamed. With good service, I've let food slide a little in the past, but not in this case. I'd seriously consider dining elsewhere.

The restaurant is chic. The food, steak was a merger, flat as a slice of bread and grey peace of meat with no taste. Overall not worth the price at all. Been to Toqué several times and was always wowed. Not this time at the Beau-Mont.
