This is not an Irish pub. It’s some Northern Irish love. We pay tribute to the sensibilities of proper pubs by way of the simple values to true publicans:
Honest beer — like the kind made by the hand of true craftsmen,
Unique cocktails — ones that leave you in no disillusionment that you’re drinking alcohol. And real tasty food — the sort that fills the belly and the soul.

It was a great evening. The only thing which I didn’t like is that I had reservation at 6PM and when I came I found out that they have another reservation at 8PM. I was planning to stay there longer
after reading positive star reviews on Google we thought it would be a good idea to try out Belfast Love. having previously dined at higher end venues like Lavecchia Lavelle and bar chef, my expectations were not very high for Belfast Love.
entering we had a reservation and we’re immediately seated which was good, but the hostess separated us was extremely rude and not wearing a mask properly. The attitude was uninviting and almost unsettling. as we sat down to our table we saw that nobody behind the bar was wearing their masks even though the manager or owner of the store was clearly present in the setting.
during such a concerning time of Covid I am absolutely a palled that staff would be neglecting the use of their mask, especially making food to be consumed by customers, let alone IN FRONT of them! there were so many staff members present on the floor that they were almost more workers than customers, and the hostesses were chatting and looking lazy in front of customers while we were waiting for our bill or beverages.
needless to say this experience was probably the worst I’ve ever had on King Street in my entire life and I will never be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone ever again.
Lively spot with excellent and friendly service. We didn't eat on this occasion but I have in the past and it was a great brunch.
Nothing fancy but good brunch for a good price. Service was attentive and you don’t need a reso.
Love this pub. Popped in for a bite and a drink on a Wednesday late afternoon. The service was excellent - friendly and quick. Food was delicious and arrived in a flash. Henderson's bitter was lovely. Noise level goes up around 6ish for the young crowd. Not ideal when your night clubbing days are far behind you but - it's all good.
Its OK. I'm concerned that its an Irish Pub but they couldn't pour a Guinness properly. Thats a cardinal sin. Doubt I'll go back. But for a quick pint go for it. The wings were tasty. Get the Guinness rep to teach everyone how to pour a Guinness and you may earn some Respect. Cheers!
There was some miscommunication between the party and the server - as a result we experienced the rudest customer experience possible. Still in disbelief over it, resulted in one of us crying. Would not recommend based on this.
Staff was great. Food selection minimal. Their online menu does not represent their actual menu.
The food was absolutely delicious - the vibe was great as well. I wish our server came by a little more / at a faster rate however overall it was fantastic and well worth the visit.
The quinoa bowl I ordered was a little bland. It could have had a lot more flavour.
Service was good in the beginning, but after our meal, our dirty plates were in front of us for a long time, I ended up taking away the plates and placing it on another table...
The hostesses were very inconsiderate of peoples times and not very helpful. The server was great but the hostesses killed the vibe.
Nice pub and patio. I would recommend if you're in the area.
Great ambience and vibe on the patio. Service was good, nothing extraordinary but nice servers. Would recommend for a date night on their patio before it gets cold!
We were put on the door despite the fact 40% of the place was empty. Tried to fill the worst table first in the hopes of having good tables for VIPs but when we were leave the tables we asked to moved to we’re still empty.
Loved the Avocado bowl!
Music was definitely way too loud, but otherwise a great vibe!
Beautiful day out on their patio. Had the burger (excellent ) and my daughter had brunch. Goood food and service.
Your ranch sauce is so good
The food was delicious and the service was great! Everyone was accommodating and super helpful to the entire table.
Strongest margaritas I have ever had! Patio is lovely.
Tasty pizzas. Interesting selection of draft beers. Nice to watch the world go by on King St.
It was a pretty meh restaurant. Seemed very cool and paste. Service was terrible.
The service was fantastic however, our group was disappointed to find out that none of the chicken options on the menu were available until after 4pm. That made the menu very limited.
The food and indoor service was good. When we went out to the patio the waitress hardly came and wasn’t very friendly.
terrible service. Was slow and got our orders wrong.
The food was like meh. Not good not bad. But the service was the worst. It was very clear that the staff was not trained. The servers were slow, apathetic, half of them didn’t know what they’re doing, and no one was running things. We waited 20 minutes until someone came to take our order (and the place was not busy) and another 15 for our drinks. We got our food (fries, waffles, sandwich) with no napkins and had to ask for some and then wait. It was clear that the place doesn’t care about its patrons
The quality of the food is not great. It’s bland.
The food was fantastic as usual but our server was the one who made our night. Very polite, friendly & welcoming. She always check up on us made sure our glasses were never dry. Her hospitality is what made our experience please give her a shout out.
Great time with my family! We had an amazing server and just an overall great time. Food/drinks were awesome
The service was adequate, but booking was horrible. I booked a table a few days in advance of my visit thinking that I would get a spot outside on the patio. Upon showing up, we were taken inside to a table rather than an open table outside which we had just walked past. I was informed that if you book online it’s a default table inside, but walk-ins are given a default table of outside on the patio.. but this was not specified on the booking website. This should NOT be the case. Instead, it should be the other way around considering I had the forethought to BOOK a table. Several walk-ins arrived before us and got tables outside. When we informed the server that we wanted a table outside, she seemed flustered and didn’t know if she could seat us outside even though we had just walked past a free table. In the end, we did end up getting seated outside.
Seemed to have come at a bad time. Many beers unavailable and food items also not available. Servers were super kind about it and definitely felt t
Waited about 45 min for our food, which wasn't a big order. The poached eggs for my eggs Benedict were overcooked when it did come.
Food was great, as was ambience. The servers were just lovely! However it did take a really long time for the drinks and food to come...but when the food came it was hot and fresh and delicious. The timing was likely a COVID hangover, and getting back into the swing of things. But I would recommend and had a great time!
Went for brunch. Waiter with tattoos on his arms is very rude and has a "I dont care" demeanor. Brings coffee. Forgets milk/sugar. We remind him and he brings sugar & milk 5 minutes later. Forgets spoon to stir it in. We remind him. Brings 1 spoon, another 5 minutes later. For a party of 3, we have 1 spoon to share for stirring cold coffee. Worst service I have seen in Toronto. Food was good but the service ruined the experience.
This isn’t a bad review for Belfast love but for this website. we made a reservation for Friday april 2, the day before the lockdown, only to get there and have the entire restaurant shut down. I understand times are hard right now, but this website shouldn’t let people make reservations at places that aren’t even open. We could’ve placed a reservation somewhere else, but instead had to go home as a everywhere was booked.
The place was completely shuttered when we arrived. Doors locked, lights off, not a single person inside.
It takes less than two minutes to turn off your availability in Open Table if you’re not going to be open on a certain day.
Lack of respect for your patrons’ time and plan is unacceptable.
I reserved it, but when I showed up they were closed!
unfortunately Belfast Love was not open when we arrived - better luck next time ....
Its covid and things are tough all around so normally I would not write a review like this but we were soo disappointed by this place! The food was awful, 1st drink came in glass covered with salt had to send back another drink because it tasted like soap..we were really understanding but bar tender came back with a nasty attitude and gave us a glass with a huge crack. It was almost comical by the end but not quite...we booked here for the heaters as indoor dining is banned but management didn't feel like filling all propane tank so we froze! Despite all this, we had a great night becasue our server was so nice and I hope she finds a better place to work!
