My husband and I go to the Belmont every Saturday morning. The breakfast is so good that it’s what we look forward to at the end of every work week. We order the two poached and the full Belmont, although my husband has recently tried the croque madamme and has really liked it. We don’t live in the area, we drive a good 15 or so mins to get there early at 9AM every Saturday. Noise levels are low, servers are impeccable at refilling coffee and water quickly and are super kind. Great cozy ambience. Hits the nail on the head for one of the best breakfast/brunch places in Ottawa. It’s hard to get a reservation so would suggest booking well in advance!

A warm and inviting dining space. The menu is created for sharing. Each dish that we tried was delicious. Three of the four of us tried the "Bartender's choice" cocktail and they were all different, tasty and creative. Staff were great.

The Belmont is a perfect brunch place. The food and service are outstanding in a relaxed and cozy environment. A definite fave!! Highly recommend!!

Went out for brunch with 2 other people. We were very impressed by the service (our waitress was great), they were ready for us (we had a reservation) and the food was excellent. They also had parking right next door.

A fabulous neighbourhood restaurant that also attracts diners from across the city and even further afield who are looking for great food, excellent (and very friendly) service, and a cozy atmosphere. My fave!

Love the trini doubles. Great wine, drink menu. Service was excellent, relaxed and just right. Pate with jam was not to my taste but everything else was good.

Food was yummy and greatly priced. We went there for brunch. It is very small, so you have to eat quick. Trini doubles were good but not prepared the traditional way.

Expectations were perhaps too high, comparing against our usual brunch spot at Gezellig. Turkish eggs deserve 5 stars, the other dishes were underwhelming, especially the french toast, which was not good. Service was good, but again, not comparable to Gezellig... This is for brunch. Perhaps other meals are worth trying, we just won't return for brunch.

Love the Belmont. Small, cozy, intimate, and warm restaurant with a nice variety of small plates for sharing. Ample options for vegetarians. The cocktails are great, and wine (at least the red, which is what we had) very good. Food is tasty and delicious. Service is super friendly, and the servers are knowledgeable.

This cozy restaurant provides consistently delicious food, personal and professional service and a lovely warm and vibrant atmosphere. Great place to visit with a few friends to share some great small plates and beer on tap.

We enjoyed the "family menu" an excellent variety of the resto's tastiest dishes. The noise level in the place is the only negative in my view, just a loud din from the packed restaurant patrons. Perhaps some acoustic / anti reflection tiles on the roof ? over all would go back and will mos def recommend.

Some diners at tables near us were exceptionally loud. Not the restaurant's fault but if they book a party of 12 (or more, I didn't count), they can expect lots of noise. This did not spoil our evening but did dampen it.

It was our first time there, and we will be back with friends for sure. We were the last table there from our res time and we got a bit lost in the shuffle of turning over tables towards the end of our meal, but all in all we had a really great experience.

The Belmont is definitely a hidden gem in the city! As much as the rest of their menu is amazing... The clear highlight and winner are the "Doubles" - order a few.. you won't regret it!

Each plate was a distinct and delicious taste. As well, one of the very few, if any, places where one can find “doubles.” If you don’t know what these are, not telling. Just go and try. Yum, yum.

Cosy spot for Sunday brunch with interesting options beyond eggs benny and avocado toast. Service was excellent, only wish there was a tad more seating. You have to book ahead.

Started off great. Received 2 plates and then had to wait for a very long time for rest of the food. Some things came cold and dried up. Asked for some bread. At end were charged like over 10$ for a few slices of baguette. Supposed to be tapas for sharing but the food came in whole pieces that were not suitable for sharing. Overall a very odd experience. We were 5 people. Was really looking forward to it but don't think I would return.

As always, everything was wonderful. Emily and Sam were professional, friendly, courteous and fun. The food was exceptional It was my friend's first time at the Belmont and he made it very clear that he will be returning with family and friends. Another very satisfied Belmont supporter. Had a wonderful experience - there were 5 of us for dinner, the server was knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations and addressing allergies etc. the food was excellent , great for sharing as well . Will definitely be back!

The service was very good, the waitress very pleasant. the food was great. It;s a little cramped in the bistro but I guess that can't be helped. I don't suppose there is any way to reconfigure it to make it more open. However we shall return as the food and service is what really counts.
