Best steak anywhere near Glacier National Park. I tried Montana Club and Mercantile Steak, both in Kalispell and both excellent. But the filet at Belton Chalet was head-and-shoulders better. Also, excellent service from Megan and Kailee. Belton is also a historic treasure that you must experience if you're visiting Glacier Park.

We love the Belton Chalet! An elegant dinner after a day of exploring the park. We enjoyed the Belton Board charcuterie, which had a nice selection. I loved the red curry dish with a chicken skewer, while my husband was pleased with the gnocchi. Pleasant, capable servers. It's part of a historic railroad lodge, so the ambience is traditional and cozy.

Very popular dining spot in West Glacier. Make reservations. In keeping with the 1910 style, the restaurant is very rustic. Many great menu choices. We had tomato and burrata cheese appetizer and it was delicious. Main entrees, 8 oz filet with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus. It was fabulous. Fettuccini with elk sausage in tomato sauce was delicious. Followed by huckleberry ice cream.. yum. We did try their seasonal mule drinks but seemed like many patrons enjoyed them.

Delightful dining experience …. Unexpected fine dining like nothing by or in Glacier Park! Wonderful restoration of the interior combined with excellent food , original and perfectly prepared. The cheesecake was a brilliant surprise made with goat cheese, and so thrilled that it was made right there by in house genius baker. THANK YOU !

Our dinner was lovely. We were seated immediately, at the appointed reservation time. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The wait for our first course was surprisingly short, followed by the main course - not feeling rushed. Everything was delicious. Yes, the room was a bit loud, but not in annoying fashion. We look forward to dining at the Belton, becoming a fall tradition as part of our annual visit to the Park. Please keep up the good work, serving up fine dining in a pleasant setting. thank you.

The food was good but over price which we expected being in a tourist location. We were not expecting that there were less than 10 parking spots and we had cross a highway on foot to park and get to the restaurant. THere was no mention of a parking issue and there were no signs to direct you to any extra parking locations. The interior was just an old building didn't seem very historic. We were celebrating our anniversary and noted it in our reservation. They never acknowledged it and sat us in the middle of the dining room next to the isle so a very busy location. And the noise level was off the charts. Will not be going back and don't recommend it.

Good food, service was good but our poor waitress was definitely slammed with walk-ins. We did mark it was our anniversary and couldn’t have eaten a dessert but would have been nice to have been acknowledged even by the host upon arrival.

Ideal hideaway for avid readers and train enthusiasts who love deep green forests, rugged mountain access without need for a tent, beautiful rushing streams and river access, perfect passenger train connections, historic chalet charm with up-to-date comfort, excellent dining and drink masters in-house and a great excuse to disconnect from the outside world. We had a very enjoyable meal at the Belton Chalet. We started with the mussels, and I ate the elk fettuccini and my husband had the meatloaf. Both meals were excellent. All the food was well prepared, and cooked exactly right. Our waitress was great and took wonderful care of us. I would say that if you are looking for a special treat or a really great meal, this is a great choice.

What a treat! After several days in Glacier hiking and touring, we had a wonderful time at Belton. Ambiance, service from Jasmine, and food was excellent. We had their filet and trout. The filet was the best. Everything had such a beautiful presentation. Thank you!

Celebrated our daughters birthday here. Wonderful meal. Tried the Trout dip appetizer and Brattain and Tomato for fist course. All amazing and delicious. Our main courses were equally delicious. We had the bison meatloaf, trout and gnocchi. We let our daughter select dessert. She chose the molten chocolate which was wonderful. As we left dinner we heard guest gush about the chèvre cheesecake dessert. Next time we’ll have to try that. Lovely atmosphere , highly recommended.

We dined here on Saturday and made a reservation before we left for Sunday. The food was AMAZING, and our servers on both nights were fantastic! We ordered several items on the menu and they were all great. Hope to co E back here so we can dine here again.

The waitstaff was wonderful. One issue came up when we tried to change our assigned table (before we sat down). The host got quite frustrated due to the system they use. Pursuit should consider a system with more flexibility, or get a host with less anxiety.

As a fine dining restaurant owner and operator for 38 years, here’s my constructive critique. Kevin, the bartender, was very good. The food was very good and well presented. Megan the waitress was upbeat and efficient, but she’d do even better if she would be more herself. One disappointment was that when we made the reservation we ticked off the box that said it was our anniversary, and put in the notes area it was our 44th anniversary. No one made a mention of it, which isn’t a big deal, but if you want to display exceptional customer service, those little touches go a long way.
