What an awesome experience! We ordered the dumplings and chicken skewers as appetizers. They were delicious. For our mains we ordered the surf and turf. You could cut the steak with a fork! Our chef was also very entertaining, we didn't want to take our eyes off the grill the whole time. Can't wait to go back.
It was a great experience and the food was delicious!
Menu prices were extremely steep and were shown in USD such the Canadian dollar amount was excessive. We felt we did not get good value for money.
Not worth the money. First time going to a place like this and it will be my last.
The food was amazing and the service was top-notch. Chef Toto was THE BEST and we were so mesmerized and ecstatic over his Teppanyaki skills. We had such a great time!
The experience is very good but be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it
18 months in to the pandemic and they still only have a limited menu with 4 options for dinner, this was very disappointing as you could only chose chicken, steak, lobster and steak or vegetarian. There is no reason to still offer a limited menu. Also, the food we had was very good however it is extremely overpriced. Only two of us, we both had the chicken only option and 1 alcoholic drink each and check came to $272CAD!!!! Which is astronomically high in my opinion as the same bill in Miami would of cost $80-100
Its was an amazing expierience of food, fun and skill all bundeled together in a nice environment. The cook was able to turn simple ingredients into a great meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening together. The food was excellent and the service was immaculate. The atmosphere was simple yet etiquette.
Good food, nice place. A bit pricey
Amazing food and outstanding chef experience. Very expensive but worth the treat out.
Very expensive but lovely experience.
A group of 6 dined tonight. We were very disappointed with the very reduced menu selection. I first spoke with the waitress- whom was very nice and polite. We had a vegetarian in our group and she only had one option available to her. We booked this restaurant because of the selection on the online menu. The food itself was adequate but not worth the price point. At the end of the meal when we were going to pay and was asked how our meal was. I did express our dissatisfaction and was told that this was a Covid menu - but in no way were the prices reflected of this. We are a well traveled group who like to dine and do not have an issue paying for a good meal. - this wasn’t it!! The manager only gave excuses and we were told that we were a difficult table. We had spent over a $1000 tonight and while we left full, we are not happy.
Its a bit expensive and would be better if they add new.items on their menu
Incredibly expensive, got the tuna and it was still cold in the middle
extremadamente caro para lo que ofrecen
The chief was inexperienced and the food was way over cooked!
And too expensive
Location is horrible. You have to go through an arcade on bottom floor. Ruined the whole feel of going to a nice restaurant.
Food lacks flavour. Very bland.
Over priced. Paid $280 for 2 people. This was only for a basic meal with no extra appetizers.
Waste of a dinner.
Excellent food and service but extremely expensive
Great food! The chef was very enthusiastic and entertaining. Definitely will be back.
Excellent experience! My only comment is that it is a little pricey for what you are getting.
Had I realized that the average price for dinner was $80 I would have reserved elsewhere. The food was decent but charging an extra $5 per person for fried rice on top of the exorbitant meal price is ridiculous. The performance by our chef was also lackluster at best. Maybe he was having a bad day or was tired. Looking around the restaurant, all the other chef's were much more energetic and engaging with their guests which is part of the whole experience of these types of restaurants. Other than a few spatula flips and the flaming onion cone, the rest of the "show" was basically just the chef going through the standard routine of preparing a meal. I have gone to other Teppanyaki restaurants that offered much better food and higher quality performances by the chef for less than half the price. Our group of 6 left feeling quite disappointed and somewhat cheated out of our money. There's far better options in the area for dinner. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Arthur was amazing. Funny, talented, a great chef. Thanks Arthur! The servers were very attentive. They offered to take our pictures as well.
It does help that they are generous with the amount of alcohol they use in their mixed drinks.
The routine and jokes from the chef were very practised and not natural. The food was delicious and fresh
Very pricey but for the food and the incredible service I would say it’s worth it. Not an experience you can find at many other places. I really enjoyed everything!
Ridiculously expensive and there’s a hidden tax that they just add to you bill without explanation. NFDF. Apparently it’s an 18% tourist tax. I’m not a tourist so why did I have to pay this. It’s also a 17% mandatory tip that’s added regardless of your experience. Nice place but they need to be more fair to their customers.
Not worth it! Too pricey! Although the chef did a few stunts, he was not very entertaining. For the price outlined,
Not worth it.
For Chicken , 76.00
Fillet Mignon $99
No dessert included! For Hibachi rice add $5.00 what a rip off!
Beware before u go!
I’ll keep this short.
Outstanding staff, I cannot give them the praise they truly deserve. The experience was fabulous! Our chef was fabulous.
The pricing is beyond ridiculous for literally 75% onion and bean sprouts and zucchini 25%1 piece of chicken and 2 shrimp. 70.00 per person ( plus tax plus 17% autocrats)
70.00 being the cheapest per person option
Wine was watered down.
It seems to be fun wether eating solo or not, but if eating solo there should be at least tables for 1 person. Sometimes you cant enjoy the experience to the full when placed with a random group esp if theyre there for an occasion (Arkward much) but the chef and staff were amazing and keep up the good work
We dined at Benihana, Niagara Falls on September 18, 2021 while at Niagara Falls for the weekend. The Teppanyaki options were so ridiculously priced- $75 for chicken and $100 for steak, per person. The soup served with the meal was likely from a can with some mushrooms and crispy fried onions floating in it , salad and vegetables were mediocre at best, we even had to pay $5 extra each for fried rice instead of steamed riced. Six of us dined, had 3 beers, some pop and water and the bill came to $870.00 after tax and the gratuity that was included by the restaurant. A ridiculous amount for a restaurant that was not even fine dining, overlooking a noisy children's arcade. Sparing more details, our only regret was that we did not walk out once we looked at the menu! Of course, you expect to pay more in fine dining restaurants and even in areas like Niagara falls but this was really so disappointing and unforgettable for all the wrong reasons! I would never recommend this restaurant!
We love the teppanyaki experience we’ve had at other Benihana restaurants and this brand new NF restaurant did not disappoint. We did walk through an arcade in the kitschy Clifton Hill area which was funny but when we arrived on the second floor we were transported into the world of Benihana. The food was excellent with a great chef who prepared and entertained just as we’ve come to expect. Ambiance was great and the place had all new furnishings The prices are high - be prepared but the experience was worth it for us. Hopefully it will be for you too. This is now the only Benihana in Canada.
Amazing, great service, awesome entertainment but extremely expensive.
Dinner and a show! The food was amazing. I had the surf and turf and my partner had the tuna. We were both very happy and would order the same thing again. We also had appetizers which were very dellicious! Our chef, Win, was very skilled! We would definitely go back!
Phenomenal experience with friends! The head chef Toto was spectacular and put on a great show. The food was amazing & portions were huge!
The food was OK but too pricy for that! I would give a 3 star in total
Overall our experience was ok. Our Chef was skilled and somewhat entertaining. We found the quality of the food to be good and the quantity to me more than enough. All of that said, we found the overall value to be low because of the high price. With ordering two meals (NOT the lobster), and two drinks only one of which had alcohol, our bill was almost $300 with the 17% gratuity automatically added for our "convenience". If we had wine and or more drinks this bill could have easily been over $400. The location (over a game arcade) is not the best and the wait was long (about an hour) before the dinner service actually started, and we were on time for our reservation.
So, if it's a special occasion and you don't mind dropping 4 to 5 bills for two people on a night out, then go for it.
If not, I would not recommend it.
For overall value, I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.
Great experience, good service, pricey but you get a lot of food
