Loved the shared dishes. Everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious, great presentation and perfect portions. And believe me, I'm a tough critic. The price is a little high, but my expectations for such prices met reality. Atmosphere was delightful. Service was prompt and to the point, friendly enough, nothing over the top. Have already recommended other friends and family try this place.

My daughter and I went with the set menu for 2 (Fall including trout) and the food was delicious. Salad and carrots were outstanding. The restaurant was squishy and intimate with limited space between tables. My husband would not have enjoyed that but otherwise the atmosphere had a good vibe. I would go back again with girlfriends or my daughter again.

The food was great. We had a tasting menu plus a couple of other items and a couple of mocktails. Service was very good. Tables are a little close together, but I understand it is a busy restaurant looking to make money.

My parents went for their anniversary and loved it! Said the service was phenomenal, the food was excellent, and some of the best drink selection they've ever had. The servers even comped their first round of drinks as an anniversary gift. Will definitely be coming back here with my wife.

Delicious food and cocktails, we shared a bunch of small plates and everything was amazing! Loved the atmosphere, and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Note that on a Saturday night it gets very busy with high noise levels, which was fine for us but something to keep in mind. Must try the sourdough bread and fresh cheese!

We had a wonderful evening at Berkley North! Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was great and servers were very friendly. Their cocktails were wonderful too! We'll definitely be back!

Last night, and this afternoon after arriving back in Ottawa, Sue and I remarked how nice it was at Berkeley North. Having dined in numerous locations in Ottawa, Montreal, NFLD, BC, Scotland, Italy and the US, we have come to the conclusion, sometimes the best place is found in your “neighbourhood”. Locally sourced, simply prepared incrediants resulting in complex flavours, or even simple flavours, far outstrips over hyped/indulged “master chefs”. The tasting menu was balanced, prepared with care, and delivered in style. No hype. Just keep it coming. Till we meet again Sue and Michael.

The place is very small and would normally conjure up words like "intimate". Unfortunately during our dinner another table was set up beside us for six peolpe and predicably, they were very loud trying to outtalk and outlaugh each other. And because the place is so small, it was almost unbearable. The food was good but caused all three of us intense gas pains.

Top 5 restaurants in #hamont —especially for veggie options and accommodating nut and other food allergies like gluten! Has delish mocktails too! Every single time it is great (prob been over 20 times so far) I highly recommend as there’s always something for everyone.

Delicious food! We tried the tasting menu which was expensive but worth it to try so many great dishes. The great bartender (we believe Aidan) even made us a special drink for our anniversary!

Dined on October 7 - 7:30pm reservation under Hilary. My husband and I were treating my mom and step dad for recently getting married and wanted to do a nice intimate dinner just the four of us. The restaurant was quite empty but not surprising on thanksgiving. Our table was set for 5, our reservation was for 4 people. Our server was clearly very new so we had empathy and patience but she constantly just said she didn’t know, hadn’t look at the menu, hadn’t tried the wine or food that we were asking about. It was very odd — you can be new and nervous but just felt like she didn’t care at all to learn about what she was selling. We felt awkward as again we wanted to be patient and kind but also felt frustrated. My husband went to school for wine so is very knowledgeable and he said none of the staff understood the wine and felt like they were just making it up on the spot. We waited around for water many times. Empty glasses would sit for 20+ when there were basically no diners. You would think that if you’re going to have a new server on the floor on a Saturday; that you’d have strong servers to support. It felt like nobody really knew what was going on. The food was very good so kudos to back of house. My family felt frustrated leaving and I’m upset that this was a big treat and that a $400 dinner should be a much better experience than this. I’ve come here a few times with my husband and I don’t think we will be back due to the lack of attention to detail, low knowledge on the wine list, and felt like the servers just didn’t care to be there.

Bad start with no Cabernet available. Ordered the tasting menu. It should be very good but it wasn't. Beet dressing on salad, over cooked gnocchi, over cooked short rib. Not busy at all and now I know why.

The ambiance was fantastic. We were there for a date night and it was a fantastic evening. The food was phenomenal as we both had the short rib. The Moscow Mule cocktail was also made to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We’ve been meaning to come here for a while and finally made it to celebrate our 18 year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect - the food was amazing, the ambiance perfect for our night and the service was tremendous. As soon as they found out it was our anniversary they treated us to some delicious cocktails. We will definitely be back.
