    Had an amazing dinner yesterday at BN. Teriyaki Eggplant was full of flavor and the Mushroom Dumplings were super tasty! For Dessert we had the chocolate cake and it was one of the best I had in a long time. Ambience was great. Surely coming back next time.

    Overall, I had an excellent experience. When my significant other and I were looking for places to go on a date night in Hamilton, we found that they are the only restaurant in the area to be listed recently in the Michelin Guide so we thought, why not? Booked a table in the patio, so most of the noise was okay. Fantastic staff and delicious meals! Mushroom dumplings are to dieeeeeee for.

    Well. It all gets a one as they weren’t open. To find out that their entire staff quit and walked out on new ownership. Previous owners made this place what it was. New ownership can hopefully learn from this mistake and recover. But they will do it without my support at the moment. As I stood shocked they were closed another couple walked up with a reservation. Ownership should have shut Open Table down and notified all current reservations so we could make alternate plans. Was disappointed.

    Received a message before dinner saying the restaurant was closed due to an issue in the kitchen. Will try again if I am ever back.

    I made an early reservation (5:45) for dinner with a friend visiting from out of town. On arrival, we were told our table was ready but to be mindful that there was another reservation at 7:00! As 7:00 rolled around, we were offered our bill so we could be hurried out. I could understand this if we were walk ins, but I had a reservation of my own and felt this was very poor service. I was looking forward to a nice evening catching up with an old friend and was prepared to order more drinks/food had we not been rushed out. We ended up going next door to the coffee shop to continue our evening. I hadn’t been to Berkeley North since pre pandemic and loved it then. The food was okay but not as good as I remembered. I won’t be returning nor recommending to any friends.

    The meal was amazing! From the BN salad to the gnocchi and mushroom dumplings, we loved every dish! The service was excellent and we had a wonderful evening. We will be back. Thank you!!

    Berkley North came recommended and did not disappoint. We had the patio and the weather co-operated. However most of use that were there have hearing assistance. The street noise was the only let down in that regard. However we got a personal visit from Mr. Matt Webber a very engaging proprietor, who made the visit a lot of fun. This is a one-of place and experience. Alex made us very welcome and helped us celebrate the occasion. Especially liked the french-pressed-coffee. The menu is very health food options. This is not fast food here, you are in for an experience.

    Tuesday eve so not crowded easy pay parking lot directly across the street Sourdough with in house made cheese spread Roasted carrots and trout All three quite tasty well prepared and presented Probably could have shared the trout which is more like a steelhead Carrots a bit undercooked but interesting preparation and seasoning Would visit again
