Wow! Amazing food and great service. Alex, the bartender greeted us and also crafted a special cocktail not on the menu. Emily, our server was incredibly helpful not only with thoughts on the food but also tips on some other local places for us to try. An overall very enjoyable evening and we highly recommend a stop at Berkeley North.

We tried 5 different plates, non-alcoholic cocktail and a handcrafted juice drink. Avocado salad was quite good & spicy, lentil fritters were over cooked ( deep fried), mushroom dumplings had a bad flavour, eggplant was ok but deep fried oil left off-taste. Drinks were very good.

Both the mushroom dumplings and mushroom gnocchi were spectacular, coming from someone that doesn't like mushrooms! Fantastic food and incredible cocktails to go along with amazing service and a cool ambience. Loved it.

Wow, what a great evening. We ate our way through a fair chunk of the menu, and the vegetarian with us was delighted with having so many delicious plates to enjoy. Our server, Steph, was completely delightful and looked after us royally. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we return before we have to leave Hamilton, because there are still some items on the menu that we might well decide we need to inspect! Very well done, team

Had a fabulous dining experience. Had a few share plates, and tried a new concoction drink.... Had no name yet, but had Jamieson's Irish whiskey. Great Sipping drink for conversation... Second time there, and will be back again.!! Christine A

Having never been to this restaurant before, we were excited to try it for my 40th birthday. It ended up being a very poor experience, one of which we had to just ask for the bill and find another restaurant to eat at on short notice. We are not picky people by any means so I felt terrible. I ordered an appetizer which was a little cake w vegetables, red onion, cucumber etc (as it read on the menu anyways.) When it got to our table it was covered in curry mayo. I cannot stand curry, it’s a major turn off for me and nowhere on the menu did it say curry nor were we told it would come with it all over the top. The waitress felt bad and said for me to decide if we wanted another one made or something totally different. I said in the mean time could I please have a glass of wine, to which she apologizes that they just sold out of it. With a limited wine selection as is there was no similar substation. So I said ok no problem I’ll just have a glass of the rose, she let me know it’s a very dry rose different than most so I asked for a taste. Sure enough, I was almost like drinking red wine it was so dark and dry. At this point, having no wine to select from and an appetizer already gone wrong we decided to call it. The waitress was great and apologetic, I felt bad but knew the meal was off to a bad start and seeing as it was my 40th birthday I decided getting the bill would be for the best.

great experience dining here. first timers. opted to visit because of their august tasting menu. seemed like a good deal and it was. only two gripes if any. first, the salad required cutting the lettuce. literally served the end of a full head of lettuce. is that weird? is that typical of an elevated dining establishment? felt like a nuisance to be honest. second, the cheesecake was surely a letdown. tasteless apart from the burnt flavour of it being a basque cheesecake. even the strawberry compote was bland and not enough to counter the burnt crust even then, not enough negatives to take away from a great experience. sat in a nice corner table at the banquet. service was top notch, and the other dishes in the tasting menu were delicious. would go back 100%. just won’t have the cheesecake

The restaurant was great, service was quick, the server was attentive answered all our questions and provided some good food recommendations. The food was delicious and flavourful and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall the restaurants ambience was nice with a little bit of a homie feel and the noise level was perfect for having a conversation.

I chose Berkeley North for my birthday dinner and it was amazing! I brought family from out of the country and every dish received so many compliments! The chef made our experience extra special with off menu features - thank you Mitch! Steph, our serve was attentive and social. Noor mixed up the best cocktails! Thank you BN team!

The music played with repeated rave like beat was very annoying. The Steak frit was too salty and cooked to medium not medium rare. The small dishes were very good.

Great meal at Berkeley North. Certainly didn’t feel like I was in Hamilton. Service was professional and courteous and friendly. Food was good and we were full (had the tasting menu). Maybe not 10/10 food but that’s not always necessary for a nice night out. Would definitely return to explore more of their menu and wine options.

We had a really great evening. The food was outstanding (tuna crudo was especially delicious), and priced well. The cocktails are interesting and varied, and, though I’m sure the list changes often, I will mention the Danger Bay as a terrific, boldly-flavoured Boulevardier riff. Gotta give it up to Ayman (forgive the spelling, if I’ve gotten in wrong!) who took care of us that evening. He was a friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, attentive (but not overly so) delight who can make a heck of a drink. We’d be happy to return again and again. Thanks, folks of Berkeley North!

Simply amazing! Food was very tasty, the servers were great, and the price was fair. My favourite dish was the raw tuna with peppers. Also, had the best cheesecake ever. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

I celebrated my 23rd birthday, had my family with me and it was such a great experience. I got the BBQ Cornish Hen and Old Cuban, which came with a side of coleslaw! No regrets. They had their main feature as well for the night 'Trout Meunière' and I would suggest to get that. Emily who attended to us was great and made sure everything was going well. If you are looking for a spot in Hamilton, Berkeley is yours.
