My wife had choir practice on Valentine's Day so we could not go out for dinner. Instead, we opted for a late lunch. We had a gift certificate for Berry Hill so decided to go there. We had never been there before so it was quite a surprise when we got there. The place has no ambiance, it looks run down. When we were seated. my chair was facing a south window and the sun was directly in my eye. The blind on the windows were old and tatty and the window where the sun was shining in my face had no blind at all. We asked to sit at another table and were accommodated. The table we were seated at was very wobbly. We both had soup and it was very good. My wife had a fish sandwich which was excellent and I had a club sandwich which was also excellent. When the bill came, it was wrong. I had been charged an extra $4.50 for fries which were supposed to be included with the sandwich. It took them ages to sort the bill out and I finally started to leave when the bill was corrected. Our original waitress has obviously gone and was replaced by another waitress who said she normally didn't work lunch. She had to phone the owner to get the bill corrected. All in all, the food was excellent but the atmosphere and run down look of the place was distracting. I would say that the food was excellent but if you want to go there for a romantic meal, forget it.

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR LUNCH. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THAT THE WASHROOMS
NEEDED A GOOD SCRUBBING. IT PUT ME OFF A LITTLE.

Eggs Benedict were excellent but the potatos were over seasoned. Way too much salt and pepper. Ended up over powering what should have been an excellent meal.

We had a family gathering of 10 (including a toddler) for brunch. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Juice seemed freshly squeezed. The atmosphere is bright and nicely decorated.

Group of 14 various ages 4 to 77, everyone enjoyed The breakfast brunch, food quality was excellent and flavourful spiced perfectly and served hot! My recommendation would be the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The full Monty ordered by others was huge with a tone of food, fantastic!

Berry Hill is always fantastic. We have been there for dinners and brunches and the food is always amazing. We even had them cater our wedding! The staff are fun and very accommodating. Our most recent visit was for a birthday party and our reservation kept growing but the staff were amazing and kept finding space for us. Despite the size of our party, the food was delivered in good time, exactly as ordered, and was just as delicious as ever! The first time visitors in our group will definitely be returning!

Always enjoy my dining experience there. The meal took about 45 minutes to arrive, much longer than usual- the waitress seemed uninterested and aloof (not usual either). Despite the flaws the food is too good to let one mediocre experience ruin it.

This is a great place for brunch or dinner. So happy they expanded the restaurant. We usually go here for brunch, the banana french toast and tenderloin eggs Benedict is a must try.
My friend has celiac disease and they had great gluten free options for her.
Going here in 2 weeks for lunch with my cousin.
Dinner - when we went they had lamb shank, my husband and his other friend said it was the best they ever had.
In the summer make sure to try their outside back patio, little oasis in Oshawa of all places. Quiet and great atmosphere.

Had a lovely Saturday breakfast with my aunt. I had Eggs Benedict with hand carved ham - delicious! Got to sample the banana french toast which was amazing as well. We enjoy trying and supporting local businesses and this one did not disappoint!!

I've eaten here before ad felt that the food selection and quality was good then. However this time the music was loud in the restaurant making it hard to have a conversation. The food selection was limited to what they had i.e. 3 quiche made from eggs as opposed to tofu and the quiche was not hot or as described by the waitress. It was full of carrots and not red pepper. It was not a good dining experience for myself and my sisters who were from out of town.

Always a treat to eat here. The breakfast is fantastic with a variety of eggs benedict options (all delicious). Service is always great and we are never left waiting for drink refills or additional assistance. This used to be quite a small place, but they expanded and now there's lots of room and it's not cramped. Amazing food at great prices.

Arrived for my reservation and they told me would not serve me As they were closing. Why allow reservation if you are not open. Paid for parking. Parked vehicle only to find out they do not know how to use Open Table or update their hours ... not impressed at all!

We went for brunch to celebrate a family birthday. A bit noisy and tables are quite close together. The food was excellent and they were very accommodating with the 2 year old that was with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and would go there again.

Outstanding food experience...amazing starters and spectacular main dishes. We enjoyed fresh and creatively presented salads as starters. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fisherman's Stew. It was fresh and flavourful...each type of seafood was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed a wonderful Salmon dish and our son enjoyed a Delmonico Steak that was cooked to a prefect Medium Rare.

At 7:00 pm there was not an empty seat which may have contributed to the poor service. Our server was friendly and you tell was trying hard; however, appeared new and not trained (missed cutlery, dish for seafood shells, requests for wine, and didn't offer us dessert)...opportunity for improvement.

Music was a bit loud and not to my taste.

We will definitely be back because of the food and hoping that we were the exception wrt service...and if not, hoping the owner steps up training.

We've got the potential for this to be an awesome place in Oshawa.

I liked the expansion of space, but not cozy, needs ambience, and coziness. Food ok. Sandwich had no side, jus t a few green leaves, not a side for 10 bucks. A decent salad should accompany. The good thing free coffee refills.

Food was very good. Hard to decide what to get as I wanted to try it all! I've coffee was delicious. I got the turkey and brie wrap. Would definitely recommend trying it. Servers were very nice. Didn't enjoy the wasp tormenting us as the front door was left open. Not much they could do about it though. It was a nice day out. I will be back for sure.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch! The food was delicious, the prices I found very reasonable and the service was great. I recommend reservations!
My only less than stellar experiences (ie, areas for improvement) would be the hash browns (Fried potatoes) though delicious were under cooked (a few crunchy ones) and my parents both found the coffee too strong.
I enjoyed the menu and had the Salmon Slides (yum). All 4 of our meals were excellent crunchy potatoes aside!

meal was great (food) - two servers at various times- younger server did not understand the cadence of a meal - 2 (people) from our party of 4 showed up waiting for 2 others - wanted to take our order? nope - we will wait. younger server paid no attention to detail and should likely find another job. no cutlery replenished after appetizers. forgot the wine. we had to go and get condiments. definitely need some focus on service! food and atmosphere was great!

We arrived early so it wasn't busy, there was only one wait staff so he was attentive. As it got busier he couldn't look after everyone efficiently and was rushing around. Not appropriate to be rushing around, makes people feel uncomfortable and not relaxed to enjoy their meal. We felt a bit sorry for him as he was doing his best. Eventually another staff arrived to help out.
The food was good and plentiful.
We'll return.
