    We offer a variety of options with regard to private events. We designed and built our restaurant to be able to offer multiple experiences within the same space. We have a's Table for 15 that offer an amazing experience private experience. We can do events for up to 40 people in our lounge which is separated from our upper floor dining. We can do a more casual event of up to 30 people in our bar area with high tables and the bar. We can also do events for up to 250 people that would include a variety of different experiences throughout the restaurant; high tables, bar area, raw bar, lounge and private room, all in one. Truly unique experience unlike any other place in Detroit. Location, flexibility, attention to detail and overall philosophy of putting our guest ahead of everything makes for one of a kind experience at BESA.

    The meal and service were fabulous! Unfortunately, we were seated in the lower level which was excessively noisy and lacked the ambiance of the main dinning room and views of the city. Will definitely go back, but will insist on a table on the main level.

    The pork although a delicious piece of meat was almost made inedible with how badly it was over salted. We had to cut the outside portions off the meat as somebody had to have spilled the salt, legit burned your mouth. Olives were good, drinks were fine, nothing to write home about. Halibut was cooked perfectly and delicious. Overall good, but we're definitely not running and telling our friends they 'have to go'

    We experienced great service in a very pleasant atmosphere, but our meal was really not up to the same standards. Our soups (minestrone) and desserts (chocolate mousse and caramel sponge cake) were tasty, but not so delicious as to warrant mention as fine dining. On the other hand, our mains (sable fish and mushroom ravioli) left much to be desired. The ravioli was much too salty, and the sable fish was served with an orzo that was far too rich for the meal. For the prices we paid (nearly $150 for this food alone, before tip), I really can’t recommend this restaurant. Actually, I can’t recommend those mains at any price. I can say, however, that the wine we had was excellent (Cabernet by the glass; $25/glass).

    This was our second time experiencing Besa, both times during Happy Hour when the delicious apps & salads are 30% off & selected cocktails and beers are discounted as well. We decided to sit at the bar & enjoyed the fun atmosphere & delicious food & cocktails, very fun way to kick off the holiday season

    I had high hopes for this restaurant. The deoc was nice and modern and the menu looked promising. The service was very slow and not good and the food was so so. It took us about 25 minutes to get our 1 appetizer and then another hour until dinner was served. The restaurant was moderately busy but not crowded. I read reviews stating that the lamb chops were some of the best in Metro Detroit but mine were just OK. They were quite salty and were overcooked. The waiter also forgot the side we ordered which we just let pass because we didn't want to waste anymore time. With all the new restaurants in Detroit I would not return to Besa and would not recommend to my friends. It was overpriced and overhyped.

    We were disappointed to not get our requested server as I had made my reservation weeks ago and were bringing another couple to Besa for their visit experience there. Food was still terrific and love the atmosphere.

    Amazing food, wine and ambiance! The Tuna, Lamb Shoulder Hummus and Scallops were outstanding. The 3 leches is the best ever I have had in my life!

    Impeccable service on a Saturday night. Was disappointed in overall food. Calamari had the perfect coating, kale salad was just OK, and we had such high hopes for the Tomahawk steak. Beautiful presentation but had zero taste. Maybe it was random; but for $165 it should blow your mind; and it absolutely did not. Didn’t even want to finish it.

    Father in law flew in from California and we really wanted to show him a great time. Wife and I have been here several times and it’s always been amazing. Impeccable service by our server Alex. He was attentive, considerate and when our 9 year old got her meal and it had something she didn’t want on it, she was too afraid to say anything other than “it has cheese on top”. Alex saw the look on her face, took her plate and reassured her that he was going to fix it. 5 minutes later, he brought out a new dish with no cheese and she lit up with joy. So amazing. Oh yea, and us adults had a great time too (as usual). Simple, yet exquisite menu. Hands down, the best restaurant in Detroit!

    Our server was Danielle, and she was so attentive and thorough as a server. We'd love to be served by her again! The food was amazing, especially the complimentary focaccia and the ravioli. They even had espresso which made my night.

    Wonderful atmosphere. Great location in downtown Detroit. Waiter was wonderful. Bartender was not so pleasant and would not provide my other guest an additional cocktail as I was waiting for the valet service when parking my vehicle. Our waiter was terrific. We enjoyed several appetizers, including butternut minestrone soup could’ve been more on the hot side. Calamari was delicious but a few pieces, spinach pie was nicely done, the hummus ok. Our mains were just ok, the Ravioli with white truffle was over done, the filet was good. Scalps were salty. Unfortunately we did not even have a chance to enjoy the Finger-lee potatoes with feta cheese.

    One of the best dining experiences we've had in Detroit. The Hazelnut Frappe Bar was hands down the best dessert we've ever had a restaurant. Highly recommend!

    The entire staff, from the hosts, to the servers and the managers were SO kind and hospitable. The presentation and food quality was wonderful. Beautiful restaurant. We will go back!!

    Very unique dishes which we enjoyed immensely. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding, as well as the spinach pie. Oh, and the bread definitely do not forget the bread. Really enjoyed the experience. Danielle, our server did an excellent job and was so personable. We will definitely be back.

    Three of us ladies were celebrating a friend's birthday. We were seated promptly, as we arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we loved the lighting and furniture. The food was excellent and the courses were spaced apart quite nicely. Everything was cooked perfectly and steaks were done as we requested. Our waitress Kristen was very helpful, although sometimes had tendency to speak quite loudly. Overall, she was very pleasant, knew what to recommend on the menu, answered all of our questions, and was attentive to our needs during our visit. All of the staff was extremely pleasant and spoke to our group as we entered and exited the restaurant, thanking us for coming. All staff members made us feel welcome. We will definitely return for that "special meal."

    Our meals were exceptional and the service outstanding. But I was shocked, upon receiving the bill, that my Ceir Royal cost $27.00 which was outrageous! It was beautifully prepared but at least $10-$11 more expensive than priced at other top restaurants in Detroit that we frequent.

    Normally I would give 5 stars across the board but this time my dinner (sable fish) was not good at all. My other guests did enjoy their dinners, none of which ordered the sable fish.

    Had dinner with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. Venue has a nice decor, the staff is pretty attentive and friendly. Food was great, we both had different seafood dishes with a nice white wine. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and come back for another visit.
