We had a nice meal at Besito. Service was friendly. Specialty margaritas were excellent, fresh cocktails. Fresh guac, chips and a slightly smokey table salsa also excellent. Of our two entrees, one was excellent - the other, ok but definitely lacking - Note to chef that the shrimp Jalisco was overly sweet - there was no heat (was the chipotle glaze missing? not sure?) - and the shrimp did not appear "seared" they looked more "poached" - not a big deal, but it would have looked a bit more appetizing with some color. The bigger issue however was that while we expect the mashed boniato to be on the sweet side, it was VERY sweet (overly) and did need more seasoning - but then combine that with the accompanying sauce on the plate, this light yellow stuff - tasted much like the Boniato and was very sweet, with zero heat, no bite, no acid, no contrast, no depth. It did basically feel like it was the wrong sauce on the plate. I did expect more of this dish from a more "upscale" Mexican restaurant. It was ok, we ate it - it wasn't "bad" per se - we just left all that sweet sauce aside - which is why we didn't complain - because we only complain when things are egregious - but unless I'd know it wasn't prepared properly by the staff, I wouldn't order it again. We would go back to the restaurant tho, because overall it was a good meal in all other aspects. (PS - the lighting was IMO too low, and although we could see the decor was what is shown on the restaurant website - it's not nearly as "chic" as that photo with the low lighting. I did expect a more upscale feel than the reality - just so readers are not surprised).

Have been eating here for years and the food and service are consistently excellent. Servers are always proficient and courteous. This time Susan served us. She knew her menu, was polite and all meals and drinks came in a timely fashion and cooked to perfection even when asked for rare fish. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the fresh made to order Guacamole and the salsa for the table was quite tasty. Three of us enjoyed the Skillet Tacos and one really enjoyed the Pescado Veracruzana, Halibut, Nothing was left on our plates and we really enjoyed our dishes. Portions are good and not too much. or too little. We would go back again.

Food is very good but it gets brought out so fast. Makes me wonder if it’s actually cooked to order. Entree’s we’re brought out five minutes after ordering. Done in a half hour.

Great food, great margs. Service is always great and the wait staff always knows what they are talking about. I called because i thought i was over charged and they helped me right away and explained the bill and even texted me a copy of my receipt. Great service, great food, great staff.

Ate here before a show at the Paramount. It was good, super crowded. The first place I ever ate, where they were so happy to see us go that they did not even offer a dessert menu. They were like do you really want to wait for the appetizer or should i bring everything at the same time. Desperate for empy tables so may have been a aberration. Food was very good

Ever since Covid going out to eat, has not been enjoyable, the quality of food has gone down at most restaurants… But Besito was such a pleasant surprise finally went out and enjoy the meal after years of being disappointed will definitely be back soon. food was absolutely delicious. They don’t rush you at all. The waitress was great. The atmosphere was also cozy and soft lighting ….loved everything.

The food was great. My friend had a drink made with rum [as the server suggested] because he didn’t like tequila(like what?) I had a blood orange margarita which was delicious. Perfect rim. My server was especially wonderful, friendly and informative.

It’s always a happy experience: warm ambience and service, fresh, delicious food, generous wine pours. We shared the salad de casa (plenty for two) and each had ribs, and have leftovers for another meal.

I have to say it was my first time being there at the Huntington location. I felt that the tables were too close together. The food was ok but to me was expensive for what I ate which was a chicken appetizer quesadilla for $18.99. That is expensive in my book. Sorry to say I wont be going back.

Terrible experience, this restaurant has gone way downhill. We were rushed, forced to order before we even sat down and seated in the worst table in the place. Food was nothing special. Used to be our “go to” place in Huntington. Not anymore!

Food was mediocre overall but the chips and salsa dip tasted decent. It’s a good location and spacious environment but the food was nowhere close to authentic Mexican flavours. If you like energetic, loud music with dim lighting, this place is for you, but it was quite literally not my cup of tea.
