It was my first time dining at Biera and I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who is into sharing flavourful and fresh dishes with originality and creative presentation. Our server Mandy was amazing with her service and recommendations!! We will definitely be back!

Never expected such a GREAT restaurant here. It is one of the BEST meals we have had anywhere. The chicory salad was inventive, tasty and well just wonderful, as was the panisse...and following that we had the mushroom, shitake with burrata....such a great combination....and then a steak au poivre, done properly, cut well, and the ting crispy fries....interesting but would have preferred some TRIPLE FRIES, HAND CUT TRIPLE FRIES......would enhance the steak all in all a place to which we will return and refer friends...and looking forward to lunch

Awesome restaurant with really interesting food selections to check out! Perfect for small group so that you can share the various options on the menu! Delicious! Even for picky eaters. Servers knowledgable, attentive but not hovering! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

Absolutely perfect food: small plates sharing experience. If you would rather have smaller portions of absolutely beautiful and exquisite food, this is for you. Went with a beer sampler as they brew their own beer, but the wine and cocktail lists were fantastic. Lovely service. Fun and modern atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Loved the place and wish I’d have been there sooner. Only downside was the noise level. With the noise, my poor hearing, and the soft voices of my companions, I couldn’t hear them. Instead I couldn’t block out the loud voices of the tables around us. Finally, I cut my time shorter than I would have preferred and I left to soothe my ears.

We absolutely love the chickory salad and risotto! My husband liked the beef, although it wasn't as tender as we had hoped. We usually always get the chicken as that has always been a favourite dish of ours at Bierra and will certainly get it the next time. The dessert we had was outstanding, which was the toasted buckwheat pudding.

I want to like this place more than I do. Things got off on the wrong foot when we were told that we had to be out in 90 min (despite having made a reso) and then waiting 30 min to receive our drinks. Overall, the food was good and prepared with quality ingredients. However, it was overly acidic with vinegar predominating the flavour of several dishes. The panisse was the highlight — the texture was perfect! Will I go again? Yes. But I will be hoping for a new menu and a more efficient bar tender next time around.

This was my first time at Biera and honestly, I won’t be back. The food was just meh. The ambiance was okay and the service was also just okay. Overall a pretty disappointing meal given the hype around Biera.

The ambiance was almost exactly as we had hoped for, but the food and service were just ok.. like the portions were good, the core dish ingredients were great choices, but there was just something missing from each dish we tried. The staff was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks, but our server seemed disinterested in our table. We would go back again, but probably stick to drinks and more snackable items or try a charcuterie board.

Had the cucumber salad but didn’t enjoy it as much as we did the previous time. Has the recipe changed?? The trout carpaccio was excellent…the highlight of the night. The pork dish was underwhelming. Expected more for $42. The meat was OK but some fatty pieces. The description of the dish talked about beets but I don’t think I had even two very small pieces. A bit tart for my liking. Service was great. The restaurant wasn’t busy and we were able to linger…..not rushed but not ignored either. Food came at a leisurely pace. Overall a pleasant evening but nothing really special.

Incredible, imaginative farm fresh menu! The bread is divine, augmented by the grains from the beer brewed on site. The seasonings, balancing of flavours and combination of textures and plate presentation are top class. Each bite is an adventure, a party in your mouth. Every dish is fully explained as it is served, including origin, ingredients, preparation and best way to enjoy. Recommend the panisse, soft clouds of pressed fried polenta combined with savoury humous and bright salsa verde and the smokiness of whole charred green onion tops. Nice open, bright atmosphere. Lots of patio space. This place is a gem in the Edmonton food scene. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit and my wife’s third. I was very impressed. The dishes were high quality with complex flavors and nice presentation. I particularly enjoyed the local brewed IPA, the carpaccio steelhead trout and steak tartare. Although I wouldn’t consider it fine dining, we dressed up and I was pleased to see many other patrons were also well dressed. Our server, Sydney, was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful with our food and drink choices. Definitely A+. I will come back again for sure.
