   Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Servers were very welcoming and had a very good understanding of the menu and what to recommend The food was fantastic. All servings were well proportioned. The dumplings were like eating a flavoured cloud. Well done to the Biera team.

   The food at Biera was great - very creative and interesting...a refreshing change and some very creative combinations that were delicious! Unfortunately, service was a bit patchy (our waiter forgot our side plates and our food sat waiting to be eaten until he realized...though he was very kind and helpful and otherwise lovely). Our biggest complaint was that we had made a reservation for six in advance, and asked to sit on the patio (a covered patio, we were told). However when we arrived, we were seated on a picnic table (which was cramped for six adults), with one umbrella that did not tilt, in the direct sun. We were off to the side of the actual patio, and being that we were there for dinner and not just a drink, it was a very odd choice and quite uncomfortable. I would have appreciated a warning ahead of time that this was where we would be seated (and not on the actual covered patio, on real chairs)...we would have dressed differently and at least had our expectations set for the night ahead - or might have chosen to eat elsewhere if that was our only choice for seating. Alternately, an offer to sit inside or wait for seats on the real patio would have been appreciated as that would have been preferred.

    Very good. Definitely coming back. Risotto was great. Service is a bit on the "I need to catch their attention" side. Beef Tartar under-seasoned and overpowered by the mayo. Beers are great, and at the very best when fully de-gassed/aerated.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Biera. For two people, they suggested 2-4 plates to share. We shared 3 and it was more than enough. For people with bigger appetites, 3-4 would be fine. Our favourites were the trout carpaccio and the smashed cucumber. The mushroom dish was very tasty but not a-lot of mushrooms on the plate which was disappointing. We also enjoyed trying their beers. For the serving staff, they were very friendly and service was great. My one suggestion is to speak a little slower when they drop off a plate. They make a point of describing the food as they set it down so it would be nice not to hear it rushed. Overall, service, food and atmosphere was outstanding.

    Such a different ambiance for an upscale restaurant. Loved how low key it was. There were only a few other couples in there for the 5pm sitting on a Tuesday night. We had the smashed cucumber salad, the dumplings and the pork shoulder. All were very tasty. The dumplings were my favourite. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and our food came quickly. Had a great experience overall. Thanks for everything Biera!

    We have been to this superb restaurant multiple times. We haven’t been late before. Therefore I was surprised with what happened. We were four minutes late for our reservation. I apologized straight away. Then gave the name for the reservation. After showing me to our table the hostess then said in a cold manner. “You only have 90mins for your reservation”. Now I understand being late is inconsiderate. Hence the apology. It put a slight damper on our meal. As I didn’t fully understand why with being 4 mins late I was deserving of such a cold address from the first face I am greeted by when I enter your restaurant. I absolutely loved every other part of our meal!

    The food is interesting and diverse. The chef has some ideas that are not being communicated to the wait staff. They struggled with terminology and could explain the food but only when prodded. The food is high quality but all the dishes we ordered had so much either oil or aioli that we were left feeling greasy and missing out on the actual flavor of the main component of the meal. Steak tartare with probably 1/2 a cup of aioli around is now aioli with a side of tartare. There are no main carbohydrate carriers so be away you will get a plate of carpaccio and oil and you need to order a side. It's ok. Staff are despondent it seems not a smile in the place.

    I have been to Biera many times and I have always raved about the food. The meal was good but I was disappointed in the mushrooms. They used to be exquisite but the recipe has changed and while it tasted nice it wasn’t as good as before and the portion is smaller.

    We had a lovely time the service was great not too eager or too rushed, we shared plates which was perfect chicory salad and the chicken with cabbage… yummm. I would have liked a table against the window as I stipulated a quieter area when I made the reservation.

    Great service as always (thank you Zach). Kitchen is definitely slipping since opening, prep a bit sloppy (overdressed salad, undercooked bread), beer quality remains good although they were sold out of some selections (including a draft beer brewed 'in house').     Absolutely amazing date night experience. We had the Sourdough with the pickles add on, the Grand Trunk Farmstead Gruyere & Working Overtime Beer Jelly, and the Grilled ACME Chicken, all of which were incredible, the sauce on the chicken was one of the best things my partner and I have ever tasted. The beer sampledoodle and cocktails were great as well. Service was perfect and the food was out fast and fresh. Great value as well, 3 shared dishes, the beer sampler and a cocktail came to just over $100 total and we both left full and satisfied. Highly recommend dining here!

    I forgot how amazing Biera is! Our family went to celebrate my husband’s birthday here on Saturday evening. We ordered a number of dishes to try, paired with few in house beverages (beer and non alcoholic for the kids). Everything was spectacular, the staff were all incredibly friendly (shout out to Chris who was our server), the food was fabulous! Our kids (17,16 and 14) were hard pressed to pick a dish they liked best - all were delicious! We had the pork with radiccio and beets, the wheat berry risotto, breads and cheeses, steak tartare, plus an assortment of desserts. Can’t wait to go back!

    Believe it or not, three of the six people in our party declared that the Grilled Chicken (with cream pickle sauce, Taiwanese cabbage & socrate cucumbers) was the best chicken they had ever eaten (and they were all old people, so they've eaten a lot of chicken). I was one of them. It is fabulous. The cheese dumplings (with kale, preserved lemon & whey) are always excellent. The sourdough bread and the beer are great. I'm sad that they don't sell their black sesame seed fudge anymore. That stuff was fabulous too. This is a great place to eat and drink.

    I always love the experience, where I can dress with a little class and not feel out of place. With appropriately helpful staff that present themselves well with great attitude and appropriate attention to their patrons. A nice change as most of Edmonton’s restaurants share a oilfield casual dress code amongst their servers and staff.
