   Did not see or taste any crab or lobster in the avocado dip Salmon overcooked and dry. Asked for rice instead of potato and that was a mistake. Soft shell crab club was over cooked and really dark. My wife had 3 bites and did not finish it. We got a take home container and threw it out once we got outside. Service was average. Was not worth $150

   Reserved upstairs private lounge, not seated there as it was not available? Something to do with having to put out patio furniture & space being dusty? Seemed like a flimsy excuse…maybe they were short staffed? Server was less than exceptional & also forgot part of appetizer order. While food was decent, could be better for the price point.

   Dinner was sensational. I had the wild boar and my wife had the elk. We shared the bone marrow. Everything was sensational. The server was one of the best I’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough

   Sadly, our food was below average on every metric. The chicken breast in the tandoori sandwich came in small, very dry, overcooked pieces - an unsatisfactory quantity and quality of protein for a $22 (or so) sandwich. The Caesar salad had a tasty, spicy dressing but was otherwise ordinary. My table mates found their dinners to be lacklustre and unfortunately, not worth the price or a return visit. I hope they up their game going forward.

   I loved, loved, loved out night at Big Fish and Open Range in Marda Loop! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the ambiance is phenomenal. Everything from the decor, music and food was amazing. We ordered the seafood platter with bread and lobster sauce and the chicken burger, seafood platter and the spaghetti seafood linguine. The lobster sauce was so so good, we literally could not stop eating it. The seafood platter, seafood linguine and chicken burger were also very good as well. Overall a wonderful time with great service. I would rate the food an 8.5 out of 10 and the aesthetics of the restaurant a 10/10. Would highly recommend!

    More tip extortion. The service was lackadaisical at best, but the lowest option was 18%. The room is lovely, but my duck confit was on the dry side. That was odd, because the first time I ate it, and the reason I came back for brunch, it was much better. Would I recommend it? Both service and food appear to be spotty. I have eaten there four times now, twice for brunch, once for lunch, and once for dinner. The food is moderately good, but could be better.

    This restaurant has very good food. I probably go about once a month. The staff is pleasant but the service is slow. Example - I filled the wine glasses at our table most of the night. My mussels showed up first, followed by two salads and then a large bowl of soup for someone else almost 6 or 7 minute after my museels, which were now somewhere between warm and cold. If Big Fish can get the service level up, they will be a 5/5.

    This place will be on repeat. Happy Hour choices were great with lots of creative GF options . Perfect hour to go for a quiet experience . The staff were attentive and friendly . Lots of parking options especially at Happy Hour.

    We had a very nice experience Saturday evening dining at a comfortable booth . The appetizer of mussels was delicious in clouding our main courses . We come to Big Fish for exactly that “seafood “ we enjoy the creative spices and flavours in their dishes . Thank you !

    This venue is nice and way more convenient than the Edmonton Trail location. First time last night. The service was a little slow to start but picked up and was good overall. Unfortunately had run out of my wine of choice so had to select a different variety. We shared the mussels to start, excellent although the gluten free bread was a little stale. My entree was the Niçoise salad. Unfortunately the egg was forgotten, 2 olives and a couple of cherry tomatoes is a little weak. The fish and chips however were plentiful and perfectly cooked. Would give it another try.

    The pistachio crusted Arctic char was fabulous. The sear on the skin made it nice and crisp. It came to the table nice and hot, the mushroom risotto was excellent, so creamy and flavourful. This was our first time here, we'll be back.

    The menu has lots of variety, it was difficult to choose. The antlatic cod was delicious and portions were generous. I would have enjoyed less rice, as I hate wasting food. My husband enjoyed the steak linguine, done to his liking. Our waitress was engaging and interesting.

    Excellent food, poor service. Three requests for a glass of water, the last to the hostess. Long delay before the orders were taken then the mains come out before half the table had finished the starter. Later we were told that the table was needed in 10 minutes. This is while one person is still waiting for their coffee. It didn't show up without another reminder.

    Overall not an impressive experience compared to what I expected. Two steaks ordered, one was clearly ready to come out before the other and was thus a little cold. Pasta was too soft. Waiter was underwhelming. Windows to the patio needed a polish. Restaurant closed at 11 but they last-called our table at 9:45 and we couldn't get dessert. On the plus side the chowder was great, the ambiance was what you'd expect, the lobster was divine, and they were attentive.

    It was our 1st time at the Marda Loop location. It was our 25th anniversary and Kayla took excellent care of us. From the bubbly and the oysters to steak and Lobster and then the finish of maple pecan pie... It was excellent, we'll be back
