Bills is always good The staff are always lovely and are obviously the right people in the right jobs It’s the best place to eat down the bay and we love it because it’s not pretentious but the menu is good

I'm quite disappointed this time around, I've been going to bills for a long time. The starter was very greasy and tasted of cooking oil. The mains was a bit overpriced, in my opinion, for what you get. Also booked in advance but had to wait by the door in a lot of traffic for a while, which was quite annoying. I personally think bills have taken a big step backwards, considering the last time around I was very impressed

We arrived at the restaurant to a notice on the door saying they had to close unexpectedly. This was not communicated with ourselves, this was on a busy sat night the night before we were running a half marathon so very stressful to have no dinner reservation

The menu is varied and we fancied quite a few of the starters and mains. The service was efficient, friendly and professional. We both enjoyed our three courses, which were served promptly and the final bill was very reasonable. Will come again.

Grubby seating area, window frame had some random hairs splayed , sons glass has a something that looked like a lump of porridge stuck inside the glass, first time to visit bill and not as nice as I had expected , maybe attributed to it being a bank holiday but didn’t feel very clean there at all

Very interesting menu at reasonable prices. Excellent service. Unfortunately there was an electrical fault so they had to shut the kitchen. Very apologetic and gave us all the food we’d had so far for free!

Good welcome but went downhill from there. Lovely staff but very slow service on initial drinks and the food. Couple on next table sent one of their meals back! When food eventually came both of our dishes had something that looked like pea shoots that would have been better in the bin rather than on a plate. Steak was tough and a third was in edible as it was gristle and fat. We’ve eaten at Bills restaurants before but won’t be going back if this is the current standard….would not recommend

Had a fabulous experience yesterday when we visited for lunch at the Cardiff Bay branch. Food was lovely and tasty, lots of choice on the menu and reasonably priced too. But the real icing on the cake was the amazingly friendly service from Anna. She ensured service was quick, was super efficient and very attentive (without being too much so). If I had to find something to ‘pick on’ for improvement - the toilets were perfectly usable but could do with a facelift and more of them - only one was in use at time of our visit, but this didn’t stop us having a great time. We would definitely recommend.

This was my 3rd visit and it didn’t disappoint. Great food and service at a very reasonable price. Very friendly and welcoming staff who treat everyone with the same friendly manner, some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across, it doesn’t feel like you are a customer more like a friend visiting another friends for lunch/dinner. And Bill’s is also very dog friendly which is a real bonus given the area it is situated in. Will be visiting many more times.

A great lunch with friends on a sunny afternoon in Cardiff Bay. So pleased we chose Bills. The lunch menu is excellent value and our waitress Meg was first class. Will definitely be back.

Always a lovely restaurant with excellent service from staff. My meal was very nice but could have been a bit hotter. Not the fault of the restaurant, but there were 4 children with family near us being really loud and noisy. We had to shout to each other to make ourselves heard.

Food was lovely, I have intolerance and was not too keen on the gluten free options myself, but its wicked theyve got those for people who can't eat certain allergens. My family members loved their food! Staff were fantastic, always around when you needed them and always smiling and lovely!

First time at Bills and i was expecting better. Considering it was mothers day they say myself and my mother in a bad area. I understand that the drinks would've taken time to come out as the plave was busy so thats no issue. However, dissapointed with the menu.

Lovely mothers day treat for a fussy mum. She enjoyed every morsel, from labnah and olive starter, to the seabass curry , and free dessert, she chose strawberry cheesecake flowerpot , followed by a creamy latte. All very delicious. In the past the staff have always been so slow and cant be bothered attitude, but today the staff were all amazing, and working so fast, even though it was the busiest I've ever seen it. Hope the new intake of staff are to stay as seriously best theyve ever had. Very happy customers today. Thank you

All lovely and when they run out of your daughters favourite chocolate ice cream they make sure the substitute she gets its super special and meets hers expectations. Thank you for understanding little humans. Steak I had was so delicious that little ones ate it , but it's OK I had my perfectly fried fries:-)

Rather a frustrating xoeroence Struggled to find anything we really liked gif dinner, then after we had ordered we noticed there were specials on a note in the table we would have really liked I said to the waitress oh we didn’t know there were specials, ie you didn’t bother to tell us, if yes this one is my fav and the fish pie is back Urgh … the food came quickly. My chicken was dry and as it was a double chicken with a fried part that I wouldn’t eat, didn’t really have much to eat . Had no cutlery for my mains either They kept asking if we wanted more drinks, kept saying no, 3 times in a matter of a few mins. We said no to dessert, just the bill. Then they asked again did we want a drink instead of the dessert ! The bill didn’t come, had to ask again Food not great, waitress SO frustrating

Had a wonderful meal - very helpful staff ( need a bit more training on the wine - whether a particular bottle of rose was dry or sweet ) and we heard another customer have the same issue so this needs attention from the management. BUT overall we will be back
