Bills on Friday 8th Dec was buzzing. Lots of Xmas parties. Our food was delicious and great sized portions. Food was tasty and came out hot. As it was so busy staff weren’t always able to get drinks etc very quickly but this was understandable for occasion. Good selection of food for type of restaurant. One of us had steak and the other halloumi shawarma - halloumi was really nicely seasoned and good selection of salads alongside. Banoffee pie sundae was shared and super tasty.

We had drinks and 3 lovely meals fish pie was superb. They took our plates away when we finished our meals.Suddenly a server gave us our bill saying one of us had asked for it.None of us had asked for the bill.We pay…Then decided to have one more drink.The server said we would have to leave our table, and have our drinks at the bar.We had only been there for one hour.We decided to leave after feeling disappointed.

Hi Team. We didn’t have a long wait for our table. One of our guests was a bit late, so the team did not serve the pre-ordered Christmas food till we all were there. The food was delicious. We truly enjoyed our time there. Thank you Dotty

We arrived and were seated at the end of a sofa next to a young family. It was a bit cramped rally but luckily the family were quiet. I feel that it did spoil the ambience a little for us. Food was good, service was quite quick. overall a good experience.

Service was very slow and check bills as QR code pay system had a 12.5% service charge which is very cheeky and then also asked to provide the server a tip !!! I really find that forced tipping unacceptable.

Outstanding everytime we come here, enjoyed everything from start to finish. Had a fantastic burger, followed by a stunning chocolate tart for desserts. Reasonably priced and staff friendly and efficient, will definitely be back

The service was very good but for the price paid the amount of food was small and of poor quality. The food arrived cold and I asked for parts to be reheated which was done quickly. I was told the bill would be ammended but it wasn't.Unfortunately we both had tummy upsets after eating here. It was the only meal we'd had that day

Clearly some issues between staff and manager which was obvious to us as the customer. Which made it unprofessional and also awkward. Slide comments about the manager should not be made to the customer Also the starter of the cheese to share, was inadequate for two with four cubes of cheese to dip and then pickles? Who thought that was a good idea Also 12.5% optional service charged added however when you pay via QR code is really hard to get around not paying (which we most certainly werent paying after the awkward atmosphere) A not enjoyable experience and won’t be returning for a while

I return to Bills time and time again because the food is very good quality and price wise very competitive in this financial climate. The downside is that Bills is now cashless (not everyone pays by card) and after you've just finished your course it feels as if you are being encouraged to leave. Maybe the owners of Bills could just reflect on this and especially hold off making customers feel as if they have to leave before their food has gone down.

Food was very nice and didn’t take long to be served. Nice ambience. When we went to pay we were told no cash only card! Apparently it says on the menu- it’s clearly not that visible as none of our party of 6 saw it. I think you should be told by the host before you are shown to your table. Half of our group had left leaving their contribution in cash without realising. One person paid the full amount by card. The host did offer a solution which was much appreciated and apologised however clearer information would be helpful. In contrast the car park across the way has huge signs everywhere saying no cash! At least no one can say they didn’t know there!!

Service was slow and not overly busy. Had 3 different servers and all were told our order had been taken. 30 minutes for 3 drinks to arrive, all had sirloin steak 2 had cooked medium and 1 cooked medium rare, all tough and fatty. Sauces were watery.

Lovely coffee and good pancakes. 5 is too many though - please have a option for 3 and give the maple syrup on the side, as it soaked in too quickly. Too many pancakes for the amount of fruit provided. Love Bill’s though and will be back.

Look! It was a rugby day, noise and people levels high…. As such I do think the whole experience was less satisfying then normal - however staff were as usual great- efficient & polite cannot fault them, but, for me personally, this is not the best day for a meal - lesson learnt.

This place is really fantastic. You need to book as they are so so busy! I’m glad I did. The welcome was warm and friendly, all the staff seemed genuinely nice. I had the shawarma and it was very tasty. I recommend having the bills lager instead of peroni (only lager on tap). The bills lager is tasty and refreshing. There were lots of kids around and I guess that’s because of the summer holidays. We are definitely going back. Really enjoyed.

Very nice setting and lovely food. The seafood linguine was one of the best I’ve ever had. Not so sure about including a service charge to the bill (12.5%). All be it optional, I would prefer to leave this at discretion of the customer. Overall would definitely go back there.

Lovely busy atmosphere in the place. Staff all friendly and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were quick and well presented even though the place was busy with graduation parties. Would highly recommend.

We were greeted by a very friendly and attentive team who engaged with all members of the party. Great choice of drinks available to suit everyone. Food was served promptly and was of high quality. A great venue with a good ambience, definitely revisit soon.

Service was very very slow even though it was a busy day there were so many staff working that there was no excuse for such poor lack of service and communication. Took 25 minutes to get a drink before they even took our order
