Life is short, so we’re only serious about a couple things; good food, good fun and good times.
A Davie Village landmark for over 17 years, Bin 941 is a cornerstone in Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood, specializing in New York-style tapas cuisine and unique wines by the glass.

All of a sudden this dropped out from my reservations and I could not figure out why and the restaurant disappeared from open table. Went by restaurant and it is definitely closed. Would be nice if open table sent some sort of communication about this...... a little disappointing....
We arrived for dinner on Monday December 18 2017 at 6:00 as per our opentable reservation
only to find the restaurant closed for holidays....not impressed!!!
Terrible service, the place is dirty, hours are all over the place, the old bin was great. I think this place must be closing soon, food was poor at best. I actually had a groupon for $100 and let it expire because I didn’t want to go back.
The restaurant was closed when we showed up to use our groupon. Not good.
Friendly and great service. Fun food - generous portion and great selections
Lovely waitress; food met all expectations.
We’d used a groupon - dessert, we thought was included, we should’ve asked, waitress should’ve told us it wasn’t. No big deal - lesson learnt.
Great all around. Small place with big character. Servers were spectacular.
Great and varied food, fast service. 1st time in my life I could honestly recommend the Brussels spouts!
I used a Groupon and lucky me having picked this restaurant! The service was absolutely fantastic...friendly and engaging staff with a genuine interest in making our dining experience enjoyable. The food was amazing! Every dish we tried was freshly made, tasty and full of rich and flavourful ingredients. We ordered over and above the Groupon offer because we just couldn't pass up a couple of the dishes. Filling and satisfying. We will definitely return and bring our friends.
We tried the mussels, risotto, lamb, and bladesteak-all delicious! Great happy hour prices too.
Food amazing! Poor server only one there and was a bit overwhelmed. Didn
Expected noisy crowd, but the 5:00 PM crowd is decent and not noisy. Service was the absolute best, beef Wellington was superb, and wine and beer were at happy hour price. Mussels were large and tasty. The scallops with pork belly were supremely delicious!! Don’t dine here—you are not good enough and you will ruin it!!!!
The food was creative and good, although the wine selection was only fair.
But the service was terrible. We had to track a server down to order an additional tapa, drink, even water. Our dessert took about 30 minutes to arrive, just as we were about to cancel it. Our dessert beverages were long gone and at that point the poor service was tiresome and we were ready to leave.
Overall a disappointment for a restaurant I have long wanted to visit and we could have gone to one of our favorites in town as we were here from Seattle.
Quaint and cozy with a great vibe - hosts were very helpful in selecting our tapas
Great food in Vancouver's smallest?, warmest?, friendliest wine bar.
Portions though are a bit on the meagre side, excepting the fries which are huge & delicious!
We enjoyed the meal but I would not go there without our Groupon deal. The prices are too high for the portion size.
Food was awesome and service was excellent Thanks and see you again
Thank you for everything , my girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience!
It’s was awesome food and atmosphere, small cozy but fun place .
Very friendly service. Amazingly well presented dishes. Tasty food. Small portions but I like it that way! Oldies but goldies music. Good ambience.
Very poor quality food, nothing special about this place.
Used a coupon and didn't need the amount of wine/beer included in it (half the value of the coupon) so probably wouldn't buy again unless there was the ability to have more food and less booze. The food we did have was very good!
Awesome food with each tapas better than the last. What a great dining experience - worth the trek from Chilliwack!
We had made a reservation in advance. I peeked in prior to opening and had misgivings if I'd made a mistake. Wrong! It was great.
Food was delicious, our server was extremely polite, courteous & friendly. Always ready to top up your wine, but not hovering and chatty.
Risotto was delicious. Other items were just okay.
Wonderful food, everything was so delicious. Customer service was lacking only due to the fact that this restaurant is so small that every seat was taken and the two servers were running all over the place trying to accomodate everyone. They had to turn away so many patrons at the door. I think if this place expanded and became bigger it would still be as popular because the food is great, the decor is great, and it's thriving in business. Definitely recommend to go here just know it is very small....if you want to get in, you better have a reservation!
It's been a long time since we've dined at Bin 941. Still amazing food, even better at the chef's counter. Watching the chef and his assistant cook and plate in that tiny kitchen was superb. Best show in town. Every dish we had was consumed with joy. We'll be back!
Bought a Living Social coupon for dinner which included a "bottle of wine." Been here many times and was pretty disappointed by the $8 bottle of Sawmill Creek. I'd expect that at Denny's but certainly not from the BIN. Food was great as was the service. Keep the "boxed" wine off the menu guys!
Giving one star as I phoned them to try and set up a special request for my girlfriend's return from a two month vacation. Just wanted them to write "Welcome home" on a dessert plate. Pretty standard for a restaurant with fine dining prices like this one. They told me to do it through open table and that it shouldn't be a problem but if it was they would let me know well in advance.
They confirmed the reservation details via personal email the day before the dinner. Then three hours before our reservation time on the day of they phoned to say they weren't able to do the request and that they don't check reservations until the day of. How can they confirm it the day before then??
Restaurant itself is fine but they ruined a special moment planned for a special day.
On the upside, the staff and service were excellent. Food was flavourful and portions were plentiful for tapas. On the downside, having purchased a Groupon voucher (based on the menu choices) for 3 tapatisers & 1 bottle of house wine my dining companion and I ended up being extremely disappointed. The menus on the Groupon website and the Bin 941 website did not match the menu in the restaurant so the dishes we were excited for were not available or were out of stock. The bottle of house wine was also out of stock so we had no choice but to order a different variety of wine and pay a higher price difference. In addition to the above, the unexpected taxes and wine fee more than doubled the cost of the voucher not making it the value expected or a positive experience.
Exelent!!! We're very pleased with food and service We will be back!!
Neay place with good food, small portions but more than makes up for it in quality
Great evening great food, knowledgeable server.
Fun night and great value with Groupon.
Would def go back.
The only issue here is with opentable and the communication w bin 941. Staff appreciation day was happening at the same time as our reservation. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed. We should not have been able to book a reservation when the restaurant was closed. This should have been communicated to us on both websites, the one for the restaurant and the one for the reservation.
I gave everything an average review because we could not be a part of the experience.
How about not worth the drive !!booked my first groupon for august 13 we live in aldergrove bc so over 1 hour drive each way.., Then we pay for parking walk around to find that that bin 941 was closed for staff appreciation day ! Was so nice that they sent me a email the day before to comfrim that we will show up ! On top of that after we wasted are time trying to contact groupon for refund it was impossible. All phone numbers were unavailable could not contact anyone ! So overall horrible experience. Was great to spend 55 dollars on closed restaurant
The food is good and the Groupon is worth the deal.
The Trio Navajo bread and beef Wellington were particularly excellent. And you can never go wrong with the stack of fries!
The food was amazing. And two bottles of wine came with the Groupon purchase was definitely a good deal. We had a fun night!
Very delicious food!
