I had high hopes being an Italian restaurant and was looking really forward to some good Italian food to celebrate my daughters 19th birthday. Not the case at all. The pasta tasted like it was cooked from frozen, the portion size was tiny, it almost was like a joke or an appetizer size, and no bread to dip in the sauce. One of our guests entree was forgotten and when it finally came (after asking about it) it was undercooked (raw) pizza, so they then brought her something else and she finally was able to eat while the rest of us were done and waiting on the bill. The atmosphere was ok, loud music and blah, like sitting in an unfinished basement. We did however go upstairs to the cafe and got some treats and my daughter really enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut cookie and we also enjoyed some Gelato, so it did end on a good note. Maybe the other Eataly restaurant options are better?

We inadvertently selected the wrong Eataly restaurant when we booked. When we showed up on the second floor Pizza and Pasta restaurant, we were informed of our error. We apologized and asked if we we could get a table. We were initially informed it would be a 20-25 min wait even though there were open tables. We pointed to the open bar seating and we were seated. We asked if their was lasagna and were told that they were sold out for the day. It was 7:00 pm on a Sunday so I kind of understood but I’m not sure how big the lasagna tray is when they make it so who knows how much might have been wasted. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and one pizza. One of the pasta dishes came and it was extremely watery. We asked our waitress and she apologized and offered to remake it or exchange it. We decided to get a different dish. We then finished the first pasta dish and our pizza. We were still waiting for the replacement dish to arrive and we were hungry so we ordered a third pasta dish. While we waited, we noticed other diners were getting freshly grated Parmesan cheese - we hadn’t even been offered. When our third pasta dish arrived, we asked for freshly grated Parmesan cheese and got it. Our waitress came by a few minutes later and asked if we had gotten our replacement pasta dish. We said we hadn’t. A few minutes later, it showed up. Again, we had to ask for fresh Parmesan cheese. While finishing up, we asked for our bill. We had to wait as others who had sat down after us were also getting their bill. When our bill showed up, it was the wrong bill. I could have just paid it and left (it was much cheaper) but wanted to be fair. After the waitress brought over the correct bill, she apologized again for the bad dish of pasta, acknowledged the length of time we had to wait for our replacement pasta dish, and apologized for the wrong bill. Despite these mixups, we were asked to come again and hopefully next time will be better. Not exactly what I was expecting!

Went for Summerlicious. The food was ok, but I was expecting more, the pizza was only ok, didn't like the pizza dough, not seemed real Italian, not for repeating. The mozzarella dish was very good. The desserts were ok.

The food was excellent. We went for Summerlicious and I had the salad, veggie pizza and Birramisu. Best pizza ever. Nice staff. Cool vibe. Highly recommend.

A downtown rather dark spot on 3 levels. We shared the bruschetta and a pizza both excellent and enough for the 2 of us. Draft beer also excellent although they did not have the beer I ordered saying that although it was on the menu it was not yet available?! The thing that bugged me was when we ordered cappucino to complete our meal they told us we would have to go to the lower level “cafe bar” as they didn’t have coffee on the “brew pub” level so we skipped it. Food and beer excellent; ambience rather dark.

The service was excellent and the food that I had was great as well as the beer was top notch. I went there specifically for a dessert I had during summerlicious to find out it’s not a part of the menu; there’s no dessert at all on the menu. This is the only dine in restaurant I’ve been to in my life that does not have a dessert.

Went on Saturday night for dinner as a part of Eataly Restaurants Fest. We too aranchinies, and fried carrots to start with, and slow cooked pork witk potato for main course. Took two flights of 6 different beers. Food and drinks were very delicious, staff very friendly and helpful. We will go there again to try regular menue in this and other Eataly's restaurants.

Very very average food and very poor service. Ravioli was cold and glued together. Pizza was ok. Beer was good. Service was slow and completely inattentive. Could not get a second beer, additional food or the bill. Don’t bother many better places in the area.

We went for the 2 course special event for $24/person. The service was efficient and the food was great. The gnocchi was delicious. I would definitely think about coming here again for the regular menu.

foods were delicious，and the service was wonderful. when our order the slow cooked pork shoulder was presented，we felt it not warm as desired， we told the waiter，and within 10 minutes we got a hot hot same dish to replace the cold one. yummy. this is a nice place to dine that I will come again.

The interesting Restaurant Fest at Eataly Toronto. Starting from $24 for a two course meal and $10 for a glass of wine, with many upgrade opportunities. Also, you can try different restaurants with similar packages. Fantastic. It serves the purpose of introducing the restaurants in Eataly.

The customer service was absolutely outstanding. Staff were incredibly kind. Also, food was brought out in good time (not too quick, not too long). I will definitely go back.

It’s an amazing experience! The food is really delicious. Got the linguine which is such a memorable dish. The beer flight is a good option to try different beer. The service is really good. Servers are friendly and take care of you well.

The food is pretty good! But while the service was friendly it definitely felt like service was an after thought. Our food took forever between courses, no cutlery until we asked, no hostess stand so people awkwardly walk around trying to find someone to seat them, no asking us if we want another cocktail. Again everyone is friendly but get ready to constantly be looking for someone to assist you if you need anything.

Would not recommend this restaurant. Our meals came 15-20 mins after each other so we were not able to eat together. The server said the food came from different kitchens, which I’m not sure makes any sense as this is a restaurant. I would not go back here unfortunately and have spread the word. The service was also terrible.

I don’t understand this place. We booked the day before - there was no room at the Pizzeria on the 2nd floor. The menu had pretty much everything we wanted : pizza, pasta, some fish, beer and wine. Once we sat down, we were told there was no pizza on the menu tonight, as the chef had no pizza dough. (Isn’t the place selling pizza dough in the 2nd floor? Aren’t they selling pizza 2 floors up?) We ordered an appetizer (Arancini), a plate of pasta and fried seafood. The pasta came first (?!?), followed by the rest 10 minutes later. One of my guests ordered a coffee. He was told by the waiter that he had to purchase it on the 1st floor. At that point guests for the table next to ours arrived, with a carry out pizza and ordered something else, which they got in due time. I would have appreciated the management to explain the concept to us. We would have eaten somewhere else.

Our dining experience was unfortunately disappointing. The first 3 wines we tried to order were out of stock, we were not given water with our meals (although we asked), the service was extremely slow and wait staff were not attentive, and the food quality was poor. However, I have had much better experiences at the other restaurants in Eataly so I would try those again. But I’ll pass on Birrotecca.

Very surprised that the food served here was a reflection of eataly. Pizza was not authentic or was the pasta sauce. Would definitely not recommend if you are looking for casual Italian dining.

The ambience was very nice and very cool with the barrels and beer theme. The food was excellent! The margherita pizza tasted just like Italy!!! The pasta and beer and tiramisu was excellent as well. I would definitely go back!
