   The address is wrong in your listing. The phone listed is not in the restaurant. The food was terrible, mac& cheese was grainy and without flavor. Companion got crab cakes undercooked, barely warm. Service was slow. Nothing in this restaurant came close to being french, more like a Times Square pub. Wouldn't recommend or return.

   Very lovely evening. We were headed to a Broadway show and wanted to linger over an early dinner. This was a perfect spot for us. The bet and goat cheese salad was great. My only tiny disappointment was that the escargot were overcooked. Good drinks and friendly staff.

   In NYC for a long weekend. Drinks and food were delicious. Service was impeccable. Our waiter gave input when choosing between two dishes and he did not disappoint. Appetizers, main meal and dessert all to our liking. Price was reasonable.

   Bistro 46 has potential, but they need more help to make it a positive dining experience. On the bright side, we were seated quickly. It went downhill after that. After being seated, it took 10 minutes before we saw our waiter. Then, he took the order of another table (seated after us) before taking our order. It took another 10-15 minutes to get our drink order. The food was good, but the appetizer should be brought before the entree, not together. I had to walk up to a server to ask for ketchup since our waiter was nowhere in sight, and still it took another 10 minutes to arrive (the fries now eaten). The smartest decision of the night was walking up to get a drink refill myself, since the waiter wasn’t much help.

   What is with the NYC restaurant tendency to put couples crammed against the back or side wall. Who wants to face a wall for 2 hours? Even when places are on 1/2 full, the staff seem programmed to seat couples as if they need to lined up on the wall. Third night of the weekend, dressed well, all nice places, and boom … back wall. Food was good. Staff was pleasant. Limited beer selection, nothing on tap.

    Menu was good but not a traditional bistro menu. I had escargot and short rib with mashed potatoes. I felt like everything was heavy handed with cheesy creamy mashed potatoes, mushy short ribs with heavy wine reduction. Overall food was good, not great. My wife's French onion soup barely had any cheese on it. Young waitress was very nice but seemed new and wasn't the most attentive. Place was very average in a city where average doesn't cut it. Managers seemed preoccupied and not really managing the waitstaff.

    They need some work here. The service is rather irregular, but they seemed to be trying. More problematic though, was that one of our dishes came out cold. Could be fine, but they need improvement.
