   The service is excellent, the food is very good. Coctails always top notch... but the view of Lake Tahoe is to die for!! It is our absolute favorite spot to have a meal or a weekend getaway.

   They always have a good ambiance. Good dining experience. We end up getting seafood entrees. The scallops are really good and tender. Mussels tastes good too and fresh. The lobster on the other hand was overcooked and very rubbery. For the price, I would expect a better quality overall but they failed on the lobster.

   Doug was outstanding and a true professional. He went above and beyond in every way. Great attitude and very friendly! Food was good and reasonably priced. The bar area was a scene and hectic. The wedding party was a bit wild.

    Beautiful location. Great ambience. A little pricey for what you get. $21 for 2 pieces of bread… really? But delicious food none the less. Waiter was very attentive as well.

    Beautiful setting. Professional service. Good cocktail. Food overpriced and not particularly tasty. One item, hamachi appetizer was definitely “off” but our waiter dealt with it efficiently, no questions asked. Hummus appetizer delicious but our mains were disappointing.     Wonderful evening and dinner, with Mother, Sister and Wife. My wife and I have dined here, at Brooks and Edgewood Fine Dining, maybe 25 times now, and have always really enjoyed this property. Right from start, Grant with Valet Service greeted us kindly and warmly, opened front door and showed us to Photo Wall, providing some great commentary on History. Ryan at Bar was very gracious and prepared 2 Excellent Himalayan Cocktails, flat delicious. April at Bistro reception was extremely accommodating, she let me pick our Table out and waived the corking fee as we were frequent guests. Stephanie and Alondra provided an exceptional, engaging, professional and beautiful dinner service all evening. We ordered the Pork Chop with a Cider Glaze, Green Beans and Marbled Potatoes, Halibut Beurre Blanc with Forbidden Black Rice, another Halibut with Horseradish Mash, and a Lobster Tail. Everything was really outstanding, beautifully prepared and delicious. A very beautiful property and wonderful setting for special occasion's. Thank you Edgewood Bistro staff !!

    Chose the mother’s day prix fix and should have stayed with regular menu. The main course was not good we didn’t eat it. We also were first party seated in far back room when there were several tables available in main dining area with better lake views. We asked to be moved but told no. A couple seated after us asked to be moved and were! Server seemed disinterested in being there. We’ve eaten here many times before and always pleased overall.

    So let me tell what a great staff you have there from everyone to the Valet to the Server. The unbeatable view of what I consider my true home-Tahoe is second to none. Here comes the big but though……the Verde or Green Sauce Chilaquiles were bland,timid and what I generally call cowardly food trying to masquerade for something else. The lack of general beverage availability for Mothers Day Brunch 2023 was just sad. No Grapefruit Juice or Apple Juice but a mash up of pulpy apple and carrot juice? Did I book reservations at the Jack LeLane Power Juicing Brunch? The sausage patties crumbled and broke apart on impact and your seats while comfy swallowed me up whole. And I’m not tiny! I’m 6’2” tall! I can imagine my poor mother who is 5’6” felt claustrophobic in the chair across me, but was too polite to say anything. Sorry Edgewood but even though your facility is beautiful and cutting “Edge” your food is not.

    The view of Lake Tahoe is what would make this restaurant one of the best, however, the afternoon sun is bright, very bright. Bright enough and hot enough to make dining unpleasant even with the shades lowered. Otherwise, the atmosphere is pleasant. Service is excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being over bearing. The food was well presented and well prepared but I would not say that it was above other lesser priced restaurants in the area. We have eaten at the Grill at Edgewood and found the food to be equally well prepared and at a lower cost. For fine dining, the Bistro is one of the better restaurants but for more casual dining, other local restaurants might be a better option.

    The server was awful!!!! We ordered and she brought out half of the ordered item and not the sauces and we waited and waited and the food was getting cold. she brought the sauces AFTER we had finished eating despite the fact that she walked past us and we tried to flag her down numerous times. We also asked for a heater that was never brought. Food was subpar- salmon tartar flavorless and not a choice piece - it tasted old and rubbery. No spoon or chopsticks brought for ramen and she kept "forgetting" so I had to eat it with a fork. We used to come here all the time; never again.

    Order the cheese curds and potatoes appetizer, you will not be disappointed. Most tables have a partial lake view. We prefer this restaurant over the older Edgewood restaurant hands down.

    My daughter lives in Tahoe. She hasn’t been impressed with this restaurant. But I convinced her to try again. I’m glad we did. First the restaurant and hotel are pretty spectacular. I’m in the design business and not impressed very often — but this place was designed by someone that has a great eye for detail. Very satisfying. Now the food and service. Started with bone marrow — fois grah and mussels. All where generous and prepared very well. The muscles were exceptionally large and enough for 4 people to share. I had a Caesar. Kinda a bench mark for me —how the kitchen dresses a salad is a good indication of detail and restraint—- it was dressed perfectly. We then shared the lamb chops — salmon — and pasta special. All well prepared. Service couldn’t be better and was attentive — we will be going back with each visit. Plus the view is fantastic

    My wife and I both had the Chilaquiles for lunch. They were described on the menu as corn tortillas with pulled pork, refried pinto beans and salsa verde. Instead we received a plate mounded with corn chips, some chunks of pork that were rather tough, pinto beans that were whole and few in number, and sour salsa verde. It was not what we expected and disappointing given the high OT rating of the bistro and our previous very good experiences with dinner at the Edgewood restaurant.

    The view is stunning, food good, service ok, servers are super nice and work well as a team. If you are staying at the hotel for the day to visit the spa or just need a meal as a gust there, it’s good for that. But I personally like the other two restaurants on site much more.

    Went there for a 50th birthday celebration.. did not disappoint! We ordered the short rib and lobster tagliatelle, absolutely phenomenal. Gorgeous views, lovely staff. Highly recommend!
