To be truthful honest our experience started off a bit unknown but as the evening went on it was amazing, the cocktails were outstanding and the service was attentive, helpful and friendly. This is well worth the visit, experiment with the selections and the cocktails but a must have are the calamari and the burger- enjoy
Server I had was very nice and did a great job! The French kiss cocktail I had was excellent! And the crab cakes were delicious and a great recommendation from my server!
A very nice, eclectic spot. The tapas foods on the menu are interesting and of very good quality. The Crab Cakes and the Octopus was the best we have had. The music was much too loud and the server quickly toned it down when asked (why do restaurants want music so loud people cannot talk to each other?).
Be aware the menu listed on Open Table is NOT the menu being offered. Open Table shows a bistro menu (I was looking forward to the cassoulet) but what is offered is a listing of cold and hot Tapas (small plates for sharing). Good food, but not what attracted us to make the reservation.

Enjoyed exceptional cocktails on two occasions. Atmosphere for dinner on Saturday night can best be described as Euro Trash Disco. Music was very present, but not too loud. Both entrees - Pork and Pasta dishes were well prepared. Again, all six of the cocktails we tried over two visits were very well mixed, the bartenders obviously take pride in their craft. Highly recommended!
Nice evening overall. Wish they had not run out of 2 entrees already at 7pm on a Saturday night
The food was less well conceived and for some in our group quite poor heavily contrasting the high and consistent quality of the food at its former location on Notre Dame.
The food was exquisite and the service was top notch. They accommodated our large group (10), and our experience was great.

1. Extremely understaffed, had to wait at the door for a good 20 min even with reservation, and wait another 10 min til I actually get a drink
2. The server poured water into my unfinished whiskey
I had half dozen oyster, snails, salmon tartar, and steak.
1. I had a mouthful of sand in my oyster. The quantity of the oyster was spectacular tho.
2. Snail was nicely prepared but maybe a bit too oily given how much cheese is on the plate
3. Salmon tartar - bland and nothing special. You can get something really nice in nyc with that price.
4. Steak was nicely prepared.
Unfortunately, this was a very bad experience. The restaurant was beautiful, but they have packed in too many tables, and the numerous wait staff and hosts sort of crowd around the tables which makes you feel spied on. The service was very long. I waited nearly thirty minutes for my meal - they got my order wrong, and assured me they would bring a desert in order to compensate for the mistake. Desert never came. We also waited a long time for the bill. Not recommended.

The food quality is really poor. waitress forgot our order of main dish. Oyster is pitifully small, as small as a small blueberry. unbelievably disappointing.
We were so disappointed with the food quality here. Both appetizers and entrees were lacking. Had to send two items back due to poor taste/burnt food. Service was slow. Will not return.

Il y a d’autres restaurants à Montréal qui sont meilleurs avec un bel accueil et moins dispendieux.
We have been multiple times to License IV when it was located on Notre-Dame. We went to its new location last weekend and I must say that we were disappointed. While the location is maybe better, there are way too many tables for the size of the restaurant. The waiters were constantly bumping into each other and hitting the chandeliers because of the lack of space. Also, while the DJ did play some good songs, the music was too loud. We could not hear each other speak. Apart from those two comments, the food was as amazing just like every other time we had dinner there!
Le restaurant n’est plus effectif. On s’est présenté à un restaurant tapissé de papier et barré d’un cadenas. Décevant de pouvoir réservé et qu’il n’est plus en service.
Good ambiance a bit too loud the music but the food was horrible. Everyone on the table was not happy, not sure if it’s because it was granprix but the salad was oily and it was just the mix salads u buy at maxi with no tomatoes or anything . The same mix salad was put in the burgers which was odd.. the meat we asked for well done but came pink. Tartar was bland. Too bad the food was not good cause the resto seems nice.
I put one star for service,but should have been no star. Service was zero. After asking us (2 women) if we want dessert, we asked for 2 hot waters. After waiting 30 minutes we realized he just decided to blow us off. Never came back. Never acknowledged us again. About 15 minutes later we decided to just stand up and put our jackets on. Then he took notice and brought the bill. We asked for one bill and decided to split it on 2 credit cards. He said “but you asked for one bill “. He was not happy. We actually had to give him the amount divided by 2 to punch into the machine. Then he made very inaaprioate comments to us while we were paying asking us where we were going from there. Will Never come back ! Beside the inappropriate behaviour of our waiter and the terrible service , the Food was average. Oysters good. Onion soup very little flavour. Goat cheese salad had a very small amount of goat cheese on it. Could barely taste it. The only positive is the decor.
Opening hours well written on website and on the door.
Arrive there for the Mother’s Day Brunch with all the family and it’s closed.

L'endroit est beau,ainsi que l'ambiance mais c'est le service qui n'est pas satisfaisant.
Malgre la reservation on a attendu au moins un bon 15mn avant de nous installer 10 personnes sur une table qui ne peut recevoir plus que6 a8 personnes au max!!

The place used to have great food and amazing ambiance. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated and the quantities became mich smaller. Used to love going there at least once a month but unfortunately this past weekend was my last!

Wow. That was so unbelievably bad. From the terrible service to the very average food, it was a complete disaster. Overpriced. Bad dishes. Dismal servers. The only good thing: great decor.
Le décors est formidable, mais le brunch de Pâques moyen... surtout pour le prix...

Notre expérience a été terrible. Lorsque nous sommes arrivé le resto n'était pas plein. j'avais fait ma réservation pour 20h et lorsque je suis arrivé le serveur m'attendait pour 20h30. ns avons attendu pour que la table soit prete. une fois assis nous avons attendu 30mins avant d'avoir le menu. le serveur n'arretais pas de faire des va et vient ce qui gaspillait beaucoup de temps. il a fallu que je demande a 3 reprises pour avoir de la glace. lorsque nos assiettes sont arrivées il n'y avait rien d'impressionnant de plus que l'assiette de veau était froide :(. Le serveur s'est excusé une vingtaine de fois durant la soirée mais cela n'excuse pas le fait que je n'ai pas profité de facon plaisible ma soirée. Je suis décu de la gestion des serveurs dans ce resto... le serveur ns a dit qu'il était nouveau...sachant qu'il est nouveau il aurait été bien de l'associer avec un autre serveur surtout pour un samedi soir ou lachalandage peut etre non negligeable! nous sommes parti a 11h45PM ca pris quasiment 4hrs a avoir tous nos plats... tres décue du service et des plats!
I love this place and have a great time usually! This past visit was disappointing with bad service and long waits. The meal was not as good as usual.
Excellent service! Le personnel était aux petits soins avec nous. Nous avons passé un très bon moment, nourriture délicieuse, servie dans une vaisselle de qualité. Nous attendons de pouvoir tester la terrasse cet été !
Le service impeccable, bon rapport qualité prix pour la nourriture seulement la carte des vins est limiter à la région de la France (je comprend que l’origine du resto soit Française ) mais une plus grande variété serais apprécié avec des prix plus variés ... le prix de la bouteille la moins dispendieuse est de $70 !!
Nous avons souper un vendredi où il y avait une chanteuse de jazz ce qui a apporté beaucoup à l'atmosphère génial du resto
Le service était terrible, on avait l'air d'embêter le serveur, tout était super lent... Nous étions pas mal tous déçu par le service reçu malgré que la nourriture soit très bonne!
We were a group of 14 and the star of the evening was Frédérique our waiter- he was exceptional and made our experience seamless

Service: Our table was loaded with dusty decoration. We had to ask 3 times to get rid of the wine glasses and still yet we paid the bill and the wine glasses were still on the table...... we had to force a busgirls to take out the huge decanter even tho she said I will be right back and as I was saying the wine glasses stayed on the table until we left. If you think that’s the policy, Nop we looked at everyone around us and the other waiter took away all his table wine glasses if the clients didn’t have a bottle of wine.The waitress is nice but she is really not delicate we felt her so rough, walking to our table , dropping our plates. At our main course arrived, 4 of us had steak, she comes back with only 1 steak knife and 2 of of these 4 ppl doesn’t even have a fork anymore because the previous person took the ustensiles away. We had to wait like 5-7 mins before we can stop someone to get a fork and somehow any kind of knife at this point. We ended the night with 2 steak knife and 2 butter knife to cut our steak.
Food wasn’t wow either. Steak was tender but so thin. They use so much herbed butter to cover the steak, u could only taste butter more the steak itself. The crab cake was so hard like if it was over frozen and over battered fried. The same balsamic spring mix salad kept on coming back on all the dishes ( as a plate decoration and a main dish side ) The lobster ravioli tasted like frozen, there was so much water coming out of the filling and I taste no lobster, and as for the sauce they used the lobster bisque soup to pour it on top. A very ugly dish that came out of that kitchen. Like if I poured out a can of Chef Bogardee Ravioli.....
Drink: their cocktails was amazing. Gin,syrup,lemons something was excellent.
This place is banned from our dining places but for sure one day will go back for a cocktail.
Huitres à 1 dollars le mardi soir je recommande et Le personnel est excellent!
