A credit card processing fee of 8% will be assessed for the refund. Splitting of tea service is not available. Friends had high tea to celebrate the holiday season. It was exceptional. Champagne, raspberry Italian soda, crab cake bites, mini blt’s, smoked salmon, egg salad avocado toast and three delicious desserts to accompany perfectly brewed tea — the presentation and taste was the best tea service I’ve had in ages. Excellent waitstaff as well.

Overall the food was amazing. However the customer service with one of the waiters was uncomfortable. One of our waiters was taking quite long to fulfill a side order of bread so upon further request of the next tables, waiter, asking the progress of the order, the waiter became impatient, and loud, when speaking to another member of the table. Understandably, they were not our waiter. However, I view their behavior towards us as unprofessional.

I added the crab cake to my Caesar salad & it was delish! It had a great deal of crab meat and was quite flavorful. I was also attracted to the Caesar salad because it came with deviled eggs. The eggs were a great addition to the salad.

Great dining experience…delicious gluten-free French food at reasonable prices in a comfortable setting. After I informed the server about my several food allergies (gluten, eggs, shellfish, and nuts), he ensured that I knew what was alright to eat or not. I highly recommend.

Bistro Menil is a jewel of a restaurant in Houston. I have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. This time we ate on the patio and it was lovely. The staff is always attentive and friendly. I will be back soon!

We went for Sunday brunch. The food was excellent and the service could not have been better! Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the cuisine. If loudness were on a 5 point scale instead of 4 I would have given it a 3, i.e. it wasn't quiet but we didn't have any trouble carrying on a conversation. Highly recommended!

Took clients here for lunch. It was a beautiful day but one of them wanted to sit indoors so we did. They had a great special that day and 3 of the 4 clients I took to lunch ordered it. They all loved it. I almost ordered it as as well, but it had a fancy butter sauce on it and I figured leaving that off might make the dish too different. It was snapper with lump crab meat and some asparagus. I had the salmon which was really good and I asked for it to be cooked a little more through which I love because it gives it a slight crisp to the top. The service was spot on and we all had dessert. Lots of people were raving about the lemon tart. I was able to eat some chocolate ice cream that was made with coconut milk. Soooo good!

Food was very good but waitress never came back to check on us for refills or if food was fine. Manager never bothered to check on our group during dinner. Food was tasty but there were issues with timing and getting everyone’s meal out around the same time. I had to ask the busboy twice to get our waitress to bring our check. Really nice place aside from indifferent service.

Great service and lovely dining atmosphere. We were seated immediately. I have dined at the restaurant many times but It was my first experience sitting outdoors. The seating was quite comfortable. I expected loud traffic since there is a busy street nearby, but is hardly noticeable

Three of us went to Bistro Menil for lunch. I had the Caesar salad with salmon. The Caesar salad cam with white anchovies which were delicious. If you don't like anchovies, I think you will like these - very mild. It also came with 3 deviled egg halves sprinkled with caviar. Also absolutely delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly with very crispy skin. You could remove the skin or not. It was so crispy and delicious, I didn't want to miss it. With the 3 deviled egg halves, I probably didn't need the salmon. You can decide how hungry you are and whether you need the salmon. I highly recommend this salad.

Went for afternoon tea and the canapés and desserts were only ok. Some flavor combinations were a bit odd. Expected better for the price. Have been other places that charge the same price that were just amazing, this was not! Service was mediocre at best. Had to ask for our server just to get our tea after food was served. Service was not up to par.

We discovered this restaurant in a search for gluten free options for my husband who has celiac disease. But this restaurant just shines, not only because it has GF menu items, because the food is outstanding- freshly prepared, variety of menu choices, beautifully seasoned. We have eaten here 3 times on our travels to Houston, and I can honestly say that we haven’t had a dish that we haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of interesting wines on the menu to choose from. We will be back!

Wonderful Restaurant Weeks luncheon value with very good food. My friend had the short rib which she loved so much she ordered a to go portion to take home for her husband’s dinner. I had the crab cake that was quite good but with perhaps a tad too much filler. The lemon tart was delicious. Would definitely return to try their Sunday dinner specials.
