Nice clean casual place to eat. We wanted a simple menu. It was the night of New Years Day. We were waiting so long to be waited on but we noticed the server was handling a busy dining room herself. We own a restaurant so I joked to my husband that it was New Year’s Day and I bet her fellow servers and kitchen staff did not come to work. We asked her and politely she smiled and said they called out but she was fine alone. We decided to just relax and stick it out. When the kitchen caught up and she brought the food we were impressed with the quality of the food. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Sauces were wonderful and the bake on our pizza was crunchy and delicious. Fast service is not always best. Sometimes slower service gives you time to relax and enjoy family.

Great food, good portions, excellent wine suggested by the waitress. Will definitely return.

Looking for Italian food on a first visit to Montreal, this 'hidden gem' did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious meals; each of the six of us enjoyed a different choice of entree. Fantastic value. Would definitely recommend!

Great little place near Notre Dame Basilica. Very good food at a reasonable price. Service was friendly and attentive.

Despite being very close to Notre-Dame, and us worrying about it being a tourist trap, the food and service were fantastic. Excellent, fresh pasta and a nice wine selection.

First time and definitely not our last. The service was simply “EXCELLENT” and the food did not disappoint. From the appetizers, to the main course and dessert, everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Gem of a restaurant. Will be back for sure!!!

Had a mixup about the reservation but we were accommodated. Our server (the only one working that night) was great. The food is very good!

Food was pretty good. However, there was one waiter and one cook. It took an hour to get a personal pizza and a salad.

Should not allow 8:30 bookings for dinner if you close at 9pm. We were shooed out. This is not a dinner place. Bright bistro lights, not a great atmosphere for anything other than lunch or snacks.

We really enjoyed our evening at Bistro Mimmo. We had a great waiter, the food was delicious and timely and the right temperature. Would highly recommend this place. It's walking distance from all the action in Old Montreal.

The Amatriciana was the best I have had outside Rome.

Went at Bistro Mimmo for a lunch. The restaurant was almost empty and the reason became clear when the food arrived. Simply not good the tomato and basil soup was not balanced and too acidic. The smoked salmon penne were marginally better but still far from stellar with a little more then a handful of the actual smoked salmon. The service was not great the waiter was alone and seemed to have trouble to remember the days special. The price was reasonable though but it’s hard to consider it value giving how unsatisfying the good was.
