    Brunch food was good, staff was a bit inattentive. Nice atmosphere- comfort depends on where you are seated I think. Some tables were very low, depending. Some of my party particularly loved the avocado toast.

    Everything was excellent. Food was great and fresh, everything came out quickly, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Had nothing to complain about at all. Highly recommend

    Had a birthday dinner there. Food was ok but not worth the price - would expect more flavour from farm to table concept. Service team seemed to be fairly new and very messy, not well coordinated yet (3 waiters for our table, lots of double checking on order and where the food goes to, no offering of dessert menu, my card was accidentally charged for another table. Overall not worth the very high price tag.

    Branzino was overcooked (and needed a sauce or at least some lemon) and poorly presented.....served with long roasted red peppers and whole roasted leeks? Chicken sandwich was fine but $20 ? Service was good but unlikely to return.

    Brunch menu a bit expensive and does not come with any beverages (alcoholic or non, nor coffee). Food was good, perfectly seasoned. Had the Farmer's omelet.

    We had a really nice brunch here. The eggs Benedict were perfection! I had a tequila cocktail that was so yummy. J.C., our waiter was delightful and attentive without being a pest. I would definitely recommend Black Barn. And, even though it was a little pricey, we were pleasantly surprised when our bill came. It felt very decadent.

    Went to brunch with a friend. Table was horribly wobbly, waiter was the least energetic person ever and for these prices for brunch, you expect a tad bit more. Food was ok. Not a memorable experience and there are way better places in NY.

    Everything was great, food, drinks, service up until we finished our entrees. Once cleared, we were left sitting there for almost20 minutes with no one coming about dessert, more drinks or anything. Lots of scurrying about including the manager. The staff seems overwhelmed by the number of diners and several large gatherings. At these stiff prices, it became a complete let down of what was a good experience. Not sure we will try again given how many options there are in the city.

    I do like this restaurant but lunch was spotty. although not crowded, it seemed like everything took extra time (getting our order in, our lunch). Our server was very nice but was not really checking in enough. The food itself was ok although the housemade chips that came with my tuna sliders were not very good. I do believe this restaurant has great potential and I have had good meals here. And it has good ambience and is interesting. But this particular lunch did not work.

    I recommend this restaurant. I asked to have my table moved and the staff quickly did it! The food is really great, and the service is very attentive! Beautiful rustic environment.

    went with a large group for lunch. the place was moderately crowded. Unfortunately, the staffing might not have been adequate to handle. Service was definitely not as attentive as usual. Our food, which was mostly sandwiches and salads took a long time to arrive and members of our party had to ask several times for condiments. I've been to black barn before and it's always been reliable so hoping this was an anomaly.

    Dimitri our server was excellent, as was all the rest of the staff! We had a few changes due to dietary restrictions and they were happy to accommodate with no fuss! Everything we ordered was very tasty! We will definitely be back

    Outstanding food and a friendly vibe with excellent service. Only two problems: the part of the restaurant designated as a tavern is very chilly, and the main restaurant area is cheerful but extremely noisy. Otherwise, altogether fabulous!
