   Great food, service and ambience. Well worth the price. Suggest ordering a variety of different dishes to share so you can try a nice sampling. Would go again.

   went with a large group for lunch. the place was moderately crowded. Unfortunately, the staffing might not have been adequate to handle. Service was definitely not as attentive as usual. Our food, which was mostly sandwiches and salads took a long time to arrive and members of our party had to ask several times for condiments. I've been to black barn before and it's always been reliable so hoping this was an anomaly.

   Dimitri our server was excellent, as was all the rest of the staff! We had a few changes due to dietary restrictions and they were happy to accommodate with no fuss! Everything we ordered was very tasty! We will definitely be back

   Outstanding food and a friendly vibe with excellent service. Only two problems: the part of the restaurant designated as a tavern is very chilly, and the main restaurant area is cheerful but extremely noisy. Otherwise, altogether fabulous!

   We came here with a party of 4 and always remember why we love to come back! We have never had a bad meal here! We had the Fig Flatbread, the Ribs, the Scallops, and the Sea Bass with a side of Shishito Peppers and Brussel Sprouts and everything was delicious!

   Amazing food, beautifully presented. Nice decor. And this is one of the few restaurants in this part of town where you can actually hear yourself think.

    Server was good. Squash Bruschetta was great. BLACKBARN Burger was good but bit overprice and messy. A bit expensive for a quick lunch.

    Went to BlackBarn for brunch. We got the French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, and the Wagyu Steak Sandwich. Everything was amazing, the atmosphere and service were top notch as well!

    Barron's said this restaurant was quiet. I beg to differ, it has great food, but quiet (by my standards) it is not. My wife and I took our daughter and grand-daughter; the hostess asked my grand-daughter what type of water we wanted. Waiter then comes and asks for drink orders. Our 15 year old orders an alcoholic drink. No problem for him, no ID request. I finally get seated, see what she's ordered, and call it back. At the end of the meal, the waiter gives the bill to our daughter. Another awkward moment, as the bill is handed to me.

    Wine service was excellent, food was dynamic yet had comfortably familiar flavors, and the staff was knowledgeable and very personable. It was a wonderful experience.

    We ordered a chicken Milanese sandwich for lunch. It looked like it was sitting out for hours and it was cold. We sent it back and it took a long time to be delivered. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and yet the service was slow. My guest also ordered a Latte and the ceramic was so hot she could not hold the cup to drink it until it was lukewarm. Finally, when we were leaving, we were charged for dessert and we never ordered any dessert. There were literally only 5 occupied tables in the restaurant. The only silver lining was that the server who brought us our meals was a delight. Lovely and kind.

    We went to brunch at Black Barn while visiting our adult kids in NYC. Great brunch menu and cocktails! We have been here twice and both times we have been in the back dining room which I really enjoy. I had to adjust the numbers on the reservation a couple of times and the folks I spoke to were graciously accommodating. What really made the experience was the professional, friendly and efficient waitstaff team. From making sure that our water glasses were filled to bringing hot entrees to a large table -- all very well done. We will be back!

    Amazing thoughtful brunch options! Everything sounded so good, we ordered a bunch of things and shared. Our server was Besnick and he was attentive, fun, friendly and we never lacked for attention in a busy dining room. Thank you so much! We're already making plans to return.

    Dry nice overall experience. Nice bar area; ate Lunch in Tavern side. Tables were ok - probably would have been more comfortable for a younger group (high tops and low sofas). Food was very good and service excellent. Happy to see a good crowd in the mid-week.

    Love everything about this restaurant! You have to order the Butternut Squash Ravioli! They have great cocktails and a variety of wines to choose from. If you're a chocolate lover, save room for dessert and order the chocolate souffle.

    I did not like my meal. The food was insultingly overpriced. Our waitress was lovely but was so swamped it took far too long for her first visit to our table. We waited and waited- trying to flag someone down. Menu is also too limited, not enough variety

    I came here with my mom and aunt for my birthday. The vibes were amazing and the food was impeccable. We all got different plates and shared. The food tasted great and the waitstaff were super accommodating. I’m so glad we went! We sat inside but I’d love to sit outside next time. Also the Waffle Croque Madame was delicious.

    Our food was amazing and we had a really nice and attentive waiter, Joe. We had Easter brunch there with three kids and everyone enjoyed their food and the music. For some reason, our food took forever to come out (close to 30 minutes). We didn’t want to complain but it was noticeable that other tables were getting their food and finishing while we waited. Our waiter and the manager were very apologetic without us having to complain and that meant a lot. The bread pudding was absolutely to die for. Would strongly recommend and we would go back.

    I’ve been to Blackbarn 4 - 5 times before pandemic and food was always good. Recently we came back with couple friends for dinner the first time after 2ish year. It was on a Friday night and the scene was so different from pre-pandemic. The bar area was deserted when we arrived at 7pm. The dining room did fill up quite a bit later into the night but it wasn’t packed like it used to be. Kind of sad seeing that, I hope as we head into endemic their business will get better again. I always like this farm-to-table restaurant and they didn’t disappoint, although I found a couple dishes were a bit salty that night. We had the Hudson Valley Foie Gras, and Big-Eye Tuna Tartare, both were very appetizing. On main course, I ordered the Long Island Black Bass “a la Nage” with Thai lobster broth, it was tasty but a bit salty. One of our friend had the slow cooked BBQ Beef Ribs with shoestring fries, what a delicious pick. My hubby and the other friend shared the flavorful 36oz Tomahawk Steak for 2, it was perfectly cooked to their liking. Our waiter on that night was very friendly and accommodating that made our dinner more enjoyable.
