Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    Great Restaurant and food is a very good standard. Value is excellent, and staff are very friendly I have been to Blacklock city for both lunch and dinner impressed with both. Would definitely recommend.

    First time visiting Blacklock and it won't he our last. Great food and great attentive service. A minor glitch was our main Sunday roast All in was served for three persons and not four. We didn't get charged for four and we had plenty nonetheless so no big issue. A very popular restaurant with a good all round atmosphere.

    Took our family to dinner on Saturday night. Staff were lovely and offered us a better table as we were by the kitchen but didn’t matter us too much. Brought out the chefs starters for us to try on the house. Prompt service, lovely steak and the local beers were lovely. I have been a few times and would recommend.

    I have only previous been to Blacklock for their famous Sunday Roasts and the awesome experience it brings. I was visiting London for my son’s birthday and and decided on getting a steak. Initially, I booked at another steakhouse where I had a bad experience earlier this year, then I did some research and decided on Blacklock. This was my first trip to the Blacklock City location snd it was exceptional. The aged porterhouse steak was cooked to medium-rare perfection. The atmosphere, service, wine, and food were all outstanding! Blacklock does more than Sunday roast. Don’t make the mistake of going to another steakhouse in London. If you want s quality aged steak and a perfect cut - It’s Blacklock. Thank you Blacklock City for a wonderful evening!

    Very busy, great food but really annoying to be reminded 3 times that our table was only for two hours. First reminder one hour into our lunch! We left our table dead on 2 hours and watched in dismay as the table stood empty ( along with others) .. could have stayed for another drink or coffee ( couldn't use the bar as so small with seating for two) . Very disappointing experience. Would really put me off choosing Blacklock again .

    Enjoy every visit to Blacklock, regardless of the location. Food, service and value are always maintained. Noise levels for the City branch maybe a bit much, but fortunately we were given a table away from the somewhat laddish culture. My grandsons enjoyed the All-In, while my Rib Eye was mouth-wateringly good. However full, do not miss out on the Cheesecake.

    A lovely evening with work colleagues, the service was great and very attentive but not overly so. Food was wonderful and good value for money. Didn't like the fact the wine had been decanted into another bottle - who can tell what it is then. Toilets unfortunately were being shared, being in the massive minority of the customer base last night (a woman) I did feel need to clean it prior to going in. Also couldn't really understand why the toilets were located right beside The Pass so we were all traipsing in the way of the waiting staff. Would return for sure.

    Not as good as it used to be- portion sizes were a bit stingy (only one smallish slice of meat). Great service though, staff very welcoming and friendly, but it used to be better value all round.
