    Staff were amazing, food was incredible. Cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. Don’t be put off with the smaller menu. Everything on it is done perfectly.

    Quite disappointing experience. Used to eat at Soho a lot before COVID but for this visit we couldn't get a space so tried Covent Garden. Staff were working very hard but there just wasn't enough to cover the amount of people dining, so a lot of waiting around (not just whilst we waited for the meat to cook). Food was average, nothing like how I remembered it, beef was heavily seasoned - with a little too much salt, and there was no charring flavour of the meat - do they still cook over coals? Based on yesterday's food I could easily say the beef was grilled. Most gutting part for me was when my wife said the food was better at Bar and Block! Good look with the growth of your company, but please try not to become another faceless chain in pursuit of profit Meat we had was a 900gm slab of beef rib.

    Really great as always!! We were lucky enough to get the booth table. Food was superb and service sublime (the lovely Canadian girl). And all at a really competitive price! Thank you :)

    Our waiter was great, he was very attentive and helpful. The hostess in the grey jacket let the entire business down, she was rude, short and disrupted our meal half way through eating saying we had 20 minutes left after we had earlier asked if there was any deadline for the table. Her manner was extremely poor and unprofessional and she should definitely not be front of house. A shame as her behaviour tainted the entire experience.

    Best beef dropping chips ever!!! And the T-bone steak was beautifully cooked and presented. The peppercorn sauce is to die for! And the fresh winter slaw was light and flavoursome. Bread and butter pudding with both custard and ice cream was light and fluffy and very tasty. The £9 Rum cocktail was overpriced for such a tiny glass. But the wines are good, water provided throughout, and plenty of staff available for their 12.5% service charge. Blacklock is our favourite go-to place when in London. Took my husband this time and he agreed he would also travel two hours just to eat here again!

    Best overall steakhouse experience in London! The food & wine is 5 star at 3 star prices. Love this place. Can't see ever returning to Hawksmoor. Perhaps Goodman City on rare occasion but the new standard will be Blacklock. Great to hear they're expanding to Manchester soon!

    We really enjoyed our lunch experience yesterday here. Food was amazing so delicious all served by our delightful waitress Georgia who also was very informative and knowledgeable about the types of meet. Very pleasant young lady. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Top marks for Blacklock

    First time at Blacklock.. Read reviews and really want to try. Did not disappoint, staff were amazing very attentive.. When I sat down I was looking around at some of the information written on the walls and one staff member came up to ask if there was anything they could help with as they had noticed I was looking around.. Did not feel too rushed was at the table for a couple for hours. Had the share platter and was loads of food there for two people (some was boxed up to take home). All the meat was cooked well.. The flavours of the food was amazing, I would highly recommend the chop sauce it was soooooo good. Would definitely return.
