Our visit was a first and we had a great time - super atmosphere- attentive staff-yummy food. We will be back!
I had read reviews about the “reservation” system so was a little concerned about the reservation for 8 being honoured. Needn’t have worried. Greeted by the Manager and after a 5 minute wait for them to clean the table after the Whitecaps fans left we were seated at a great table. Our server ( from Australia) was terrific. Never had to look for her she was always on top of it. Sorry I didn’t get her name to acknowledge her. Food was okay. Steak and Guinness pie was not as good as other visits -a bit dry but still tasty. Left just as the music was starting as it was really getting crowded and noisy and our group wanted to talk.
my roasted vegetable salad was sooo good and everyone else seemed happy with their meals as well.
Don't go too late if you want to have a conversation. it turns into a nightclub. I didn't realize it until too late. And by that time it's impossible to find your server.
Stopped by to have a couple of drinks with friends & had a great time. No music yet but service was great.
First time at Blarney Stone. My friends and I had a great time last Saturday night. Thanks to the team who make this an amazing place! From the security at the entrance to the server, everyone was great!
Did not know there would be a cover charge, would be a good thing to add to the reservation message so you know ahead of time. Fun place but very loud! So not a good place if you want to visit with the people you go with, you wont be able to hear them.
Me and my friends come here to dance. The dance floor is a bit small, but the live bands arr always great! They play lots of folk music, (such as the Lumineers, the Proclaimers) and engage the audience. The food is always hot and delicious although I've only ordered food here twice. Nice beer selection, and excellent service. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a waitress to check on us. It's fun to stay here all evening, although as the night goes into 11:00 PM, and onward, the dance floor becomes a bit too crowded. Other than that, the Blarneystone makes for a lively and entertaining evening out.
The food is excellent and they have a few unique drinks, live band was great. We will definitely be back to try some more of the menu
Disappointed, I got there at 8:10pm and didn't have my reservation
Thank you for amazing music live performance. You are awesome!!!
Very bad experience ......
Great staff, good food and an excellent atmosphere
I go to Blarney for almost every special event. It truly has great music and is very reasonably priced. However I was extremely upset that I had made a reservation for a table of 6 people and when I arrived I was told that I did not have a reservation. When I showed my confirmation email I was told that it was only a guest list. I had made the table reservation to celebrate my sisters birthday so I was truly upset. I also find it amusing that I am writting this review after receiving an email asking to how my experience with my table reservation went (further confirmation that it was not my mistake but Blarney's). All I can say now is that I'm not nearly as likely to go back as I had been before.
This seems to be a neighborhood bar. Upon arrival bartender told us to sit anywhere & seemed surprised when I said we had a reservation.
Food was decent although shepherds pie was excellent
Great spot and great service.
Celebrated my birthday here with a group of 20. Service was good and so was the food. I have been to Blarney stone in the past and the overall experience has always been a pleasure. Make sure you get on a guest list on weekends as this place gets absolutely packed. I will return in the future to enjoy this great pub.
Nice charming Irish Pub with all the Irish themed beers including local and international offerings. Food was quite tasty and had great service from the staff!
Very well cared for by evening manager, Jesse and server. Food was tasty, piping hot and fresh. For a quick dinner it was perfect. Very casual and not too loud as we were there before 7pm on a Saturday.
I had a very good time on my birthday number 43. This is a good place
Very average dining experience that lacked any Irish Pub ambiance. They do have Murphy's Ale however, so that gives them an extra star. If you think your going to an Irish pub, you're not, and if you want that go next door to the Irish Heather.
We're no strangers to the Blarney, having been going, off and on for nearly 15 years. My best friend is leaving to return to Ireland, and we had a lunch to see her off. Thanks for accommodating us. The waitress was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was good as always, and everyone came away having had a great time.
Overall a good experience. The service was good and attentive but the 18% group gratuity was steep. I have no problem with a gratuity being put on a bill but 15% for a group under 10 I'd say was more than sufficient.
One of my favourite place on Saturday night in Vancouver ! but also really nice for a diner with friend or just a drink !!
We had a table of 20-25 people and only one server which was definitely not enough. The seice was slow despite the effort of our waitress. Two of my friends had to pay cover because they arrived late whereas we all had food and drinks all night.
The tables were next to the stage and it was extremely noisy.
Me and my girlfriend came for dinner. Reserved a table. It was endlessly loud, so it was barely possible to have a conservation. After we got to our table, we waited ....and waited ...and waited. No one took care about us !! The girls preferred to chat around, one guy was texting ... after 15 minutes wait and not a single look at us we left !!! And would never come back!!!
I was told by their staff, Sarah Whitney, that my guests would be on guestlist and have no cover until 10pm. When we arrived, we were shocked to find out that all my guests were going to be charged $12. What kind of place charges cover at 8:30 anyway? I had 30 people at my birthday, ALL under the impression that they wouldn't be paying cover, especially when they are going to be spending so much money on beer/spirits. You can imagine how embarrassed I was that I was given false information. The only thing worse than being provided with incorrect information, was the rude and careless service I received from the door man and "manager". The manager ESPECIALLY was incredibly rude (bald guy with glasses). They couldn't have cared less that I was promised one thing and delivered another and they said "if you don't have proof then there's nothing we can do for you". 80% of my guests are from Ireland and let me tell you, we will spread the word and we will never be coming back to the Blarney Stone. Thanks for ruining my birthday night.
