   Block & Blade used to have the best fish tacos in Winnipeg! It was blackened fish, made simple, no complicated ingredients, and great taste. Tonight they were terrible! They are now breaded… more breading than fish… and taste like you’re eating falafel, not fish. Absolutely Disgusting!!! Not sure why they made this change but I will not order again and will no longer recommend. So sad.

   Seating was poor as table was unbalanced - moved to seat right outside of kitchen though others seemed available.

   Me u said Pickerel and there is no way we were served pickerel. Two of us got the linguine with mushrooms. I got a whole 3-4 mushrooms. The other dish had more mushrooms. I will not order this again. I do like other items just wanted a change but disappointed

   We had supper there tonight, we heard great reviews and drove 45 minutes to eat there. When we got our food, I felt the portions very small for the price you paid. My daughter ordered the blocks Mac and cheese, it came in a small bowl, definitely not worth $21.50. I ordered the blocks burger, which was good however The fries were in a tiny cup. Let’s just say I did not walk away full.

   Great food, great service. Only issue was a wobbly table that the server fixed quickly with coasters.

   Never disappoints! These guys have figured it out - great food, awesome staff, reasonably priced specialty drinks and small booths that have high glass panels to limit noise - what a difference this makes. Even if you’re across the city, it is worth the drive. If you haven’t tried yet, I highly recommend!

    Lived close to this place for many months and never visited… I have now 3 times the last 3 weeks and I’m getting hooked. Myself and partner have come to love the ambience, the food, and service so much that we’ve chosen to make this location our weekly date night spot. Good environment, fantastic and tasty food and wonderful service. We’ll definitely come again and again! One downside will be the Caesar’s salad, it was awful and having tasted a variety of other meals here, I’m sure they can improve upon, still will not stop the 5-stars given as that isn’t a deal breaker. Thank you for everything else!
