Proprietors Sheri-Lee and Curtis. “It taught us to be farmers; to be ONE with the land. There are things we will never experience again. That vineyard block represents the past – the starting point, getting our
hands dirty, all the ‘firsts’ of our business”. BLOCK ONE represents the future as this vineyard block now produces some of the estate’s finest fruit for our international award-winning wines. You will be amazed by the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. Seating is covered by an engineering wonder in a one-of-a-kind cantilever that is already drawing attention in the world's architectural community. The restaurant moves to an equally impressive indoor space during inclement days and in the winter months.

Celebrated 50th birthday and November was the perfect time. It's low season, less busy, tons of parking, not snowy yet, and the food and service were impeccable. Everything felt VIP with it being quieter. Our server/bartender, Heather made our dinner and drinks delightful - she even went the extra mile and made an off the menu Earl Grey Martini. Highly recommend this time of year vs. the bustling, line out the doors, summer season if possible.

Lovely evening out! Fabulous place, excellent service. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special, purchased some wine to go… made sure offered discount for members and offered to carry to car. Incredibly attentive without being in your space. Food was fantastic! Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding and the service was OTT making it such a wonderful night out! The only thing that would have made it better is to see the stunning lake view, which is not possible as it’s too dark this time of year. I highly recommend this restaurant as we have gone several times and it never disappoints!

Easy to see why it has been rated as one of the best 100 restaurants in the country. Beautiful architecture, great food, great service. Amazing views, just one of the best restaurants you can go to, and certainly the finest one anyplace near Vernon BC.

Decadent setting, with food to match. Duck wings are a can’t miss but a large portion. Squash small plate was a revelation. Shared wagyu flatiron steak with onion tartin was the bomb. Yummy cocktails. Service was a bit dodgy to start due to a large table, but the staff adapted and our proper server made up for it with complimentary rose bubbles. A lovely experience.

Disappointed in my meal. Have had duck there before and it was delicious. The duck was still beautifully cooked, but the dumplings were deadly! Did not even notice a duxelles! The fermented turnip was like eating cardboard. The greens were tough and chewy. The menu has been overwhelmed with oriental flavour so there is little to choose if those are not to your taste or even why you went to Block One in the first place. It breaks my heart to say this as I have very much enjoyed Block one in the past, but I would think twice about returning for dinner!

Possibly the best restaurant in the Valley and that says a lot considering there are a lot of amazing restaurants in Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon. Our server Nikkia was amazing, guiding us through the menu and making excellent suggestions that really made our dining experience. The only drawback was the wedding celebration going on next door with very loud drumming as well as flashing lights that reflected into our side of the restaurant.

Went for a Birthday meal - had an enjoyable experience. Limited choice lunch menu, but our Crispy chicken sandwich was very tasty. Service was also good- our server did verbally acknowledge that one of us had a birthday. Beautiful views to the valley and lake. Just found the noise level overly loud - not sure if anything could be done about the acoustics- but definitely not a place to have a quiet conversation, at least while we were there. Would come back again at some point.

We were there for a Birthday party. There were seven of us. Our server was fabulous. Overall the food was OK....except...the halibut. It was terrible. The smell was very strong....three of the four people who ate the halibut were ill the following two days. I think this is very important for you to know!!!

Absolutely outstanding meal. Great choices, creative flavours and combinations. Really knocked it out of the park. Halibut was cooked perfectly. The Buratta salad was so fresh, the scallops delicious and beautifully presented, great dessert selection...Blackcurrant mousse!!! Service was attentive and very good. Okanagan at its finest. Kudos to the chefs and kitchen gang. Look forward to our next visit.

We went here for my birthday dinner. The ambiance, service and food were fantastic. I had their chicken with spicy corn, and absolutely loved the heat. They have good quality gin, which is my favorite cocktail mix. The views are wonderful and the heaters are a good touch. Upon knowing it was my birthday, they provided us with a glass of Riesling, which we found out later was not free, so Id recommend that the restaurant confirm before giving their guests drinks without them ordering it. The views are fantastic but since the wall is made of a type of plastic, it got pretty dirty and thus, hard to see through.

We were disappointed that we couldn’t be sat inside for our meal. The ambience of fine evening dinning was lost on the patio on a rainy night in September, had I known when booking the reservation that outside dinning was the only option we would have gone elsewhere. Not that you have control over it be we had two wasps join us while we were eating which was not the experience we had hoped for. The patio door opening and closing was loud and in general our dinning experience was significantly diminished from previous outings to Block One. Having moved from the lower mainland we considered Block One a suitable place to get a higher end dining experience, however I’m not sure I’d continue to feel the same way and would be reluctant to recommend it again in the future.
