Beautifully set along a great Okanagan lake view, the BLOCK restaurant followed up on it's setting with great food and wine. The service was fantastic and the wine tasting introduced us to an amazing Chardonnay.

Beautiful location and building. Amazing view while eating good food. Other than being asked to leave when we finished eating, as it was busy.. I would have given 5stars.

My first time there and although it's nice enough, there were many glitches in our lunch reservation. The service was fine but a little slow...our server neglected to tell us that they were out of the item 2/3 of our party ordered....then when we had to reorder, she got it wrong and had to come back a third time to ask what the order was. That delayed our food significantly. Our server also never asked us if we wanted more wine or asked us if we wanted any coffee or tea with our dessert. In the end she also charged us for an additional meal (one of the items that was never even available). The wine is great, and the view is lovely, but they definitely need to step up their service for the prices. There were 3 of us and we each had an appetizer, one glass of wine and one shared dessert and it came to $150 for lunch. Might have been worth it if there weren't so many errors in service.

I can’t say enough about the amazing experience we had. Arrived to the winery by boat and walked up the hill (5min walk). We arrived early and went in for a wine tasting to cool off before being seated outdoors at a high top table. The food was amazing and we shared many dishes between the 4 of us.
Only problem is they are running short on the Rose so we were limited to purchasing 1 bottle per person.

Block one is truly a feast for the senses. This is a seasonal restaurant located in the middle of a vineyard and overlooking Okanogan Lake absolutely awesome vistas. The food is a feast for both the eyes (beautifully presented) and the palate as the food was excellent.
Oh, they have some amazing self-grown wines, and the server was great!

Food for lunch was excellent. We were a birthday group of 6 and everyone raved about the flavours of their meals. The service was attentive and surprise sweets were served to commemorate the three birthday guests. A great afternoon get together for lunch in a beautiful setting.

Food quality was very good. Not cheap, but worth it. Wine in restaurant is twice the price as in the wine store but not unlike other restaurants.

50th Parallel has always been one of my favourite wineries in the Okanagan. I was so excited when they finished their renovations and opened Block One. This was my second time dining there and I know I will be back. The food was wonderful, the wine was amazing (as always) and the service is great. Sheri-Lee and Curtis are doing an amazing job. Love it.

This was the second time that we ate at Block One and enjoyed both the dinner menu selection and the lunch menu. The staff service is excellent, very accommodating and conscientious servers both times. Our compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for the wonderful presentation and excellent quality of the food.
The online reservation app. is brilliant. It wasn't working the first time, July 18th. so we phoned however, we received an immediate reply for the Aug. 2nd luncheon.
Nice to see the presence of the owners at the facility, mingling with customers.

It was very hot and still a sunny evening so the staff made a point of making sure umbrellas were moved to keep the sun out of our eyes. Our waitress was lovely. She was efficient and Service was very quick. Pleasant evening.

We were looking for a winery with a restaurant in Oliver. This was a Google recommendation that we selected based on the glowing reviews. It's a little further drive than other wineries but definitely worth the trip. Setting, scenery, food, wine and service were all exceptional. Our server, Mike, was very knowledgeable about both the wine, the dishes and the winery itself. Highly recommend!

We went here for our anniversary and were not disappointed on any level! We reserved a high table (recommend this as it's a great view and out of the hot sun). Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and even gave us recommendations on other Okanagan things. We had 3 appetizers: warm olives, scallops and pork belly, and crab cakes. My husband loved the second item and I will go back just for the crab cakes (and wine, of course!). We shared the halibut and it was divine. We paired it with the recommended 2016 Chardonnay, which topped the meal off. We will definitely be back!
P.S. We live in the area and it's been a joy watching 50th grow and become a success. Congrats!

The service was outstanding - our table wasn’t ready when we got there so we were given a complimentary glass of wine and given a tour of the event space as it was raining and we couldn’t sit in the couch area. One of our steaks was cooked well done instead of medium rare and the server took care of it immediately. Overall the food was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes .. it was a bit chilly as we were seated near the front and the heaters were at the back but the blankets helped to keep us warm. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

We had booked based on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed by the architecture and ambience. Our server was fantastic - she seemed proud to represent Block One and her service was outstanding. Unfortunately the weather did not co-operate and the rain and winds picked up making for an underprepared group of very nicely dressed women. We were given warm cozy blankets and they did what they could to keep us warm with the patio heaters but an option to move inside would have been great! However, the food and wine was delicious and we will most definitely go back.

Although the food was excellent, the management and serving staff, aside from the hostess, could smile more and be more friendly and welcoming. It was like they weren’t happy to be there and it was of no pleasure to serve. Unfortunately, because of this it ruined the ambiance regardless of the fantastic lake views.

It was a Birthday celebration dinner and we weren’t even offered a dessert or anything. Not saying we need to be offered anything for free, but as a new restaurant, going the extra mile would help with people returning.

We were finally seated in a spot that was not overwhelmingly sunny and ordered our food and drinks. Our wine came right away and after an hour of waiting for our food, there were apologies from the management and our food arrived shortly thereafter. So, needless to say, service was an issue.

When I drove up, I was immediately impressed with the architecture of the facilities, very modern and grand in scale. The parking area seems a little tight and I noticed several people having difficulty getting in/out of their parking spots.
The dining area is an open covered outdoor space that overlooks Lake Okanagan looking west. As the sun sets, the sun became a bit of an issue but staff were great at positioning umbrellas to make diners comfortable and misters were operated to keep things cool.
Service was very courteous but a little slow and dishes seemed to take longer than one would expect.
I had a green salad and the lamb entree. I asked for the goat cheese to be left off but my salad arrived with goat cheese. The salad itself was fairly unremarkable with virtually no dressing (but better than being over dressed IMO). The lamb was very fatty (and yet a little over done - medium) and not seasoned very well. The portion size was reasonable but I expected much better for the price.
My wife had the burrata and fresh tomato salad and while good (and beautiful looking), it was not much (a couple of small pieces of cheese, about half a tomato and some garnishes) for the price ($17). She also had the crab cake appetizer and said it was one of the best she has had.
Both if us had the Pinot Noir and really enjoyed it.
A beautiful facility that needs some work on the quality of the food, particularly if they want me to make the trip from Kelowna.
