   The band was so loud I couldn’t hear. It almost ruined what would’ve been a nice peaceful evening. Not necessary to have loud rock music in a fine dinner g establishment. Don’t people talk to each other over dinner anymore?

   The band at the beer park was so loud we had to leave. Unable to have a conversation at all. Ruined what was a special occasion. The management would only move us indoors not to another outside table that was not near the band. Very disappointed

We do let people know through the "things to know before you go" that we do have bands outside Thursday through Sunday. We also recommend an indoor reservation for those that want a quiet experience. There was nowhere to move you where it would have been any quieter for you which is why we offered you an indoor table. Had there been an area where we could do that outside, we would have gladly moved you there.

    I made a reservation on the deck hoping to hear the band and try the new sushi menu. They do not serve sushi in the restaurant or restaurant deck. Only the lower level. Sad.

    Waitress was nice and friendly and I believe she did all she could. However from the beginning as soon as we sat it took while to get our first round of drinks, our appetizers came before the cocktails. Second round of drinks didn’t come by until after dinner was served, and then the end only half the order was taken for the final round of drinks. Overall, very busy and the waitress and staff seem overwhelmed and unprepared for the crowd.

    Blu Grotto could not have been better. The appetizers, entrees and dessert all exceeded expectations. The service was prompt and professional. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful atmosphere for another wonderful experience.

    We were a party of 8 so were seated outside. It was my husbands birthday and we had invited 3 other couples. The noise level of the music prohibited ALL conversation; we had to yell out our orders to our Server. Music was uncomfortably loud. We asked to speak to the Manager and the Assistant mgr. was only manager that was available and showed up at our table 30 minutes later. She was not accommodating at all and said parties of 8 can only be seated outside and said "look at that other table, they are enjoying the music"! We knew there would be music but no idea that it would be that loud and annoying. Band did not take a break for 75 minutes until we were almost done eating. Blue Grotto has been one of our favorite restaurants... not anymore, we will not go back. Very disappointed.

    The outside deck is great! I added extra people to my reservation & they were able to accommodate us, which was very kind. The food was good & the service was attentive. We will definitely go back again.

    went for the first time but it was raining quite a bit they have a wonderful deck right by the track. however we could not get out side to enjoy (spring showers). it was a special date married 44 years and the staff knew and really made it special. the food was great almost to much food per serving. really liked our wait staff top notch! very nice dining room what more can I say!

    Excellent evening with friends who had not dined at Blu Grotto previously. We all enjoyed our share appetizers of the calamari and cheese plate. What a great treat! We all enjoyed our entrees, the huge portion of eggplant parmigiana with pasta, and the linguine dish. The pastas were prepared perfectly. We also enjoyed your wine selection, ordering two bottles and appreciating the 20% discount on Wednesday evenings. We will definitely be back, as will our guests.

    Blu Grotto was visited during Jersey Shore Restaurant week on May 1st. we went early, 5pm. the restaurant was quiet but busy. But we had a reservation and were seated promptly. The food we ordered was delicious. San Marzano tomatoes on toast with cheese , was very good. The toast was not freshly toasted, it was a bit hard, but the olive oil helped to soften. I had to request a steak knife to cut thru the toast. The fluke crudo was enjoyed and very good. I had the cod. It was cooked to perfection. and quite tasty. The partnering order was the steak strips that also was quite good. These were followed by the two desserts. Affogato and almond chocolate cake. the almond chocolate cake was expected to be very dense. Surprisingly it was lighter then expected, altho dense like, it was smooth and very enjoyable. I'd recommend this restaurant for most people, especially if they're going to the racetrack at Monmouth Park

    This was my return to Blu Grotto after many seasons. I went during restaurant week, and I was quite pleased and impressed with the food, service and of course the luminous ambiance in the glass enclosed dining area. I cannot remember enjoying a meal as much as this! They even sent me on my way with some vanilla biscotti for the ride home. I was so full they were enjoyed the next day. Well worth the trip to this unique spot at Monmouth Park.

    The conservatory is beautiful, calming and quiet for a lovely dinner at this time of year. The food is very good, but pricey. The main courses are way too much for my spouse and I to eat. It would be nice to offer smaller senior size portions. Drinks were excellent. Service is outstanding.
