   Ridiculously overpriced, loud, service was impersonal. Delicious octopus! Uninteresting wine by the glass for $18-22, cocktails $22, overcooked & over salted halibut for $48. Appetizer served before cocktails. He never asked if we wanted wine with dinner. Our server did not check back ever! Runners just plopped down what we ordered. The place was packed, so maybe it’s a place to be seen. It was very disappointing.

   We were supposed to have an in door table. They said they didn’t have one but they did. They tried to give us more expensive wine and charge us more. Brought dinner before appetizers were finished. Brought wrong appetizers. Tried to v charge us more. Fish was over cooked. Don’t trust anything they do.

   The restaurant is attractive and the staff is eager to please. The kitchen is a mixed bag: octopus was plentiful and well prepared, as was the branzino. But the “jumbo prawns” were simply decent sized shrimp (a good number of them, in a nice broth) and the Peconic Bay scallops were actually smallish sea scallops, in a strange and unhelpful corn preparation. Prices are on the high side, like so many other things these days, but the more successful dishes are definitely worth the price and evidence a skillful hand in the kitchen. And

   We went during February, off season. The dining room was cold so they provided us with a portable heater. It was not crowded. We were treated very well. Both the owner and staff were very attentive. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was very good, cooked to perfection. I will return.

    First time here for a birthday dinner with close friends and our experience was amazing! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was superb. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate our party! The staff was kind and attentive. Will be frequenting Blu Mar and their sister restaurant 75 Main because of the service and quality!

    We loved Blu Mar. The food and cocktails were excellent. Zachary, the owner, runs this place and 75 Main completely perfect. We went to eat at both places several times during our stay in Southampton. I highly recommend both places. We will for sure return next summer.

    Happy non anniversary!!!’ Came out to south Hampton for anniversary for a few days. The hostess was told it was our anniversary, not one mention wishing us happy anniversary, the service is horrible, employees are miserable, the food was ok , the bartender has no personality and like the other employees she is miserable as well ,this place will never make it past this summer. This restaurant is poorly managed. Someone step in and help this place asap

    Overpriced particularly for what you get... The food was pretty "meh" and portions were small. There's just so sooooo many better places to go nearby. Wasn't terrible by any stretch but, unfortunately, I wouldn't return. They were very nice and quick but it's really the food....

    Service was terrible. We got our food before our drinks. Had to remind 3 people about it. Lamb appetizer was inedible. Poor quality meet, very gamy. It was all ligaments. Pasta dishes were very mediocre. Ambience is lovely. Would not return back

    We had a delicious dinner there last night. Despite many negative reviews our experience was wonderful. We ordered branzino and sea bass. The fish tasted very fresh and the preparation was superb. Happy we didn’t order apps as we were quite full with just the main. Service could not have been better but full disclosure, the place was quite empty. Perhaps they’ve eliminated the staffing problems. The kitchen certainly knows how to prepare excellent food.

    Our server Christine was distracted, slow with service, rude and disrespectful. Main course meals were served literally five minutes after we received appetizers. We were charged for three main dishes and we only ordered two. Same with glasses of wine, ordered one, charged for two. Not sure who made the errors, everyone pointed fingers at others. In the end, our bill was wrong and we had to ask twice to remove the incorrectly charged items. Waited 45 minutes for this to be resolved. Finally I went inside to inquire and Christine was dismissive and behaved as if I was wrong for asking for the check to be corrected and that she would get to it when she had time, therefore I should wait. I have never waited that long to pay a tab. Good thing I’m honest, someone else may have just left. Other staff members were lovely. Food was excellent but portions were small compared to the table next to me. We have been to this establishment many times, and the experience was great — this last time, not so much.

    Terrible experience. Made a reservation and wasn’t seated for 45 minutes and then a waiter didn’t take our order for another hour and only took it after we finally were able to pull someone aside. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    Disaster of a service experience. 45 min wait for a table despite a reservation, 30 min wait to order, 40 min wait for food and the entrees showed up before the appetizers. Eventually the appetizers came at the same time as the check. Waiters running around not knowing what was happening. Packed and noisy and not worth the headaches. Supposedly the ticket machine broke, but the service nightmares happened well before that might have happened (pretty sure they forgot to seat us). Food was ok, but why bother?

    1 hour wait to get a drink order and 1 1/2 for a food order and over 3 hours to receive food. No apologies. I have never experienced anything like it. I will not be back.

    We ate outdoors. Very nice ambiance, lovely garden setting. Service was outstanding. I had the halibut which was quite good , our daughter had the Greek salad which she really enjoyed. My husband had the fillet steak 🥩 it was cooked perfectly.

    I really was impressed with the food and service. The tuna tartare was excellent. My black striped bass was superb. My martini and whispering Angel rose wine completed a spectacular Hamptons meal. Our server was excellent. We can’t wait to return.
