    Our meal was average at best and mediocre at worst. Hard to mess up crab, but a small bowl with rice buried under unidentifiable "root veggies" was unappetizing, uninspiring and just lousy presentation. The Creme Brule was good, but skimpy. For $300 I expect a lot more.......

    While the food was tasty and made with high quality ingredients, the price tag was beyond acceptable. This is a perfect example of prohibitive pricing. And the menue didn’t really have lesser options for the same amount of food. Overall the prices were incredibly high. On a service side, they didn’t bring our garlic bread with our appetizer soup, and brought it only after we requested … after we finished the dish… For such an expensive restaurant I would have expected better and more formal ambiance, at least white tables clothing and non old carpet flooring…

    Another throughly enjoyable evening at The Blue Crab, great food and fantastic service. Some enjoyable time between courses (not rushed) Also, one of the nicer harbour views in the city. 😊

    Everything was so fantastic! The staff were wonderful and friendly and informative. The lobster prawn pasta was the best pasta I’ve ever had and the crab cakes were delicious. The bartender Shawn was very knowledgeable about wine and it definitely added to a very fun experience overall!

    My sister and I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal at the Blue Crab. We are staying at the hotel for 5 days and have decided to eat every breakfast and supper at the Blue Crab simply because the food and service is fabulous!     Not a bad seat in the house. Terrific harbour view. Professional but not pretentious service. Very good food, but bring your deep pockets. It’s pricy!

    The Service we received was very odd. The Server was kind of rude from the start of us being seated and not friendly at all. Then he tried to give us our bill after we finished our appetizers and didn't even care to ask us if we were ready to order our dinners just offered the bill. The server didn't like communication it seemed or to talking to his customers last night. Very odd and strange this Service was. We didn't make dinner a reservations to go and just have appetizers and thrn offered the bill. The food was very bland no much tasted like anything not seasoned at all every dish. Risotto was like eating rocks not cooked like it usually is. We had the Steak and Lobster was all under seasoned and pretty bland all of it. We usually love Blue Crab and come every fews months. This experience put us off now and not sure we'll be returning. Has to be one of the strangest Service experiences I've had yet!

    We were greeting immediately upon arrival and shown to our table which was a water view however there was a post/wall next to me so the view was limited just to the left of the wharf. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our wine selections. The food was fabulous and beautifully presented. I would definitely eat there again when I visit Victoria!

    They have changed recipes for their famous crab cakes: it was not savoy & textures are too dense. Flavor of Tenderloin was not to our liking.

    Excellent restaurant. Superb cuisine. The calamari is the best anywhere. My only complaint is the air temperature in the restaurant was a a little chilly. We had to get extra jackets from our room to eat comfortably.

    Ordered $120 King Crab leg dinner. Came with dyed purple cold potatoe salad that was sour and gross. Second side was coleslaw, which was warm an uninspiring at best. Crab was good but not even fully hot when served. I dont mind paying for a good meal but they need proper sides. They were gross. The crab legs needed to be steaming hot when they come out. Beautiful view though, and not too loud at all, which was nice.

    A busy Friday night made for slower service than expected, especially regarding our cocktails and our appetizers. Food presentation and quality was very good. Our waitperson Dava was terrific. Need to buy more ergonomic wine decanters, as it's tough to get all the wine out of the style of decanter now in use. We'll be back.

    We made the mistake of not telling our waitress that we had parked at the hotel garage. So she didn't reimburse us for the parking fee. Unfortunate!!!

    Appys were good but main course wasn’t so good . Sauce for pasta didn’t taste fresh and too thick. My boyfriend chicken was very dry and warmed up in microwave. My cocktail was delicious! Service was so so . We waited a long time before being asked for breuvage. She never came back and asked how was our meal . And the host didn’t think of asking if we were parked in the underground parking. Good thing we thought about it . View was very beautiful! Next time we’ll only go for cocktails and appys

    Overall it was a nice experience. The crab dip was amazing and hands down the highlight of the night here. The tiger prawns were also a great starter! My group came in knowing that we wanted to order crab, and in all honesty it was a little underwhelming. The snow crab did come out a bit cold, and one of the portions of crab had little to no meat in it and for the price point, that was very unfortunate - our server was very kind about this and replaced that portion of crab without us asking which was greatly appreciated. Very caring level of customer service from Yoshi. Overall I would say it is a 4/5 stars, appetizers were wonderful, the snow crab was a little underwhelming and the sides that came with it were left basically untouched. The service was nice. Will probably come back next time we are in town.

    We had an excellent server who took exceptional care of us. I was not aware that the dining room was not open at lunch. That fact should have been in the info on Open Table, won't book at lunch again I am not interested in sitting in the lounge.
