I chose this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a great time because we were with great people. It was restaurant week so we weren't able to order any of the items that we specifically came for.
Seating good,service good ,waiter John,helpfull,food prepared properiy.
I was very impressed with the whole place, from the atmosphere down to the great food choices. The dessert was fantastic and the beer choices were great too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back.
We went during Restaurant Week which, once again, Blue Hill has outdid itself. The food was fabulous and fresh. The fish, Barramundi was flown in from Australia. It was cooked perfectly and tasted divine.
We had a group of 10 - we had a wonderful time and all were happy with their meals. Thank you.

Steaks hadn’t been well-trimmed but flavor was great! Portions were generous - especially for Restaurant Week. Service was ok - not especially attentive.

I love this restaurant. I ate there on Saturday and was seated behind a concrete wall outside.We sat outside for a nice view..but didn't get that. The food and service was excellent as always..but the view this time was not expected.(could have been warned)
Some patrons got a little too loud for the comfort of other diners. Other than that it was wonderful

Had dinner with my husband at Blue Hill Tavern on a rainy Saturday evening. The restaurant was not crowded, likely due to the heavy rain. It had a low noise level, but I would guess the noise level would be high on a busy night. They do have outdoor seating on clear nights, which would have interested us. The service was outstanding; everyone was very attentive from the hostess staff, food expediters and wait staff. We each had two courses; my husband started with the crispy calamari appetizer and I had the Spanish braised beef & carrots soup. Both were delicious. For main course my husband ordered a shrimp and scallop appetizer from their specials menu for the night (I forget what it was called) which was just enough because the crispy calamari appetizer is quite large (it is served with a mixed greens salad). He really enjoyed the shrimp and scallop dish from the specials menu. I ordered the seafood bucatini, which had me at artichokes, and it was delicious. It was filled with mussels, scallops, shrimp, plenty of thick bucatini noodles, and a spicy tomato sauce. We were both too full for coffee and desert. Overall, Blue Hill Tavern impressed us so we would definitely return and would recommend the restaurant to others.
This was my second trip for dinner. It was as amazing as my first. I actually ordered the same entree as last time. .. seared salmon Oscars (with jumbo lump crab, grilled asparagus topped with a delicious Bernaise sauce. Along with wild mushroom risotto. I also ordered the same Malbec to sip for the feast. Deelish! I promised myself to order something new next visit. There are many delicious items on their menu!
We had a great time at Blue Hill! The surf and turf is always a favorite and the definitely try the candy bar for dessert!

Haven't had a bad meal here yet. This time we enjoyed the calamari appetizer, the shrimp and grits and the duck confit pizza, and all were great. Love sitting upstairs on the outside balcony.
Excellent salmon with black garlic and asparagus. Steak menu offers different sizes and the filet was done to order with great taste. Bread pudding was the best I’ve had. Our server was professional and attentive
This was the second time I have eaten at Blue Hill Tavern and it won't be the last! The place has a great vibe, great service and excellent food. I especially enjoyed the mussels. I am anxious to go back and try the lunch menu.
Apps were very good, but dinner was kind of run of the mill. Steaks, pastas, crab cakes. Not imaginative like it used to be. We did enjoy the balcony dining.

Once again, Blue Hill Tavern was terrific. The cocktails, food, and service were wonderful. Won't hesitate to tell friends, and we will be back.
Food and service were good. Wish we had a asked fora table upstairs - the sunset was beautiful but we were in a dark corner and missed it.

Every aspect of our visit was great.
Always love Blue Hill. I have since they opened. The wine by the glass list has always been a bit too "low end". A minor improvement would make a big difference. Five Oaks is not very good. Even just a tick up to Mondavi or Cavit would be better. Otherwise, I love being able to go there and there always seems to be flexible availability.
Food and service were great! Shrimp and Grits are to die for.

What can I say, another great experience at Blue Hill. Tried an app we never had - Duck Gnocchi - and highly recommend! The Mediterranean mussels were delish as usual. Majority of us got the blackened tuna special and it was a perfect summer offering cooked medium rare with a great mango sauce to accompany. Jon’s service only added to the already lovely evening!
I went to Blue Hill Tavern to celebrate a birthday. Jess was our waitress. She was wonderful & full of energy. She checked on us periodically to make sure we didn't need anything. Jess surprised the Birthday 'girl' w/a dessert & candle and she and other staff sang Happy Birthday! The environment was very inviting & comfortable. I definitely will go back but in the evening so I can experience the rooftop.
I had such a great experience at BH that I must leave a review. The food was great, to begin with. Every person at the table was happy with what they ordered. Service was great as well, all of our servers were very attentive and super nice. Everybody having a great meal and a nice time was important to me, since it was my birthday celebration and I wanted everyone to have a good time. The standouts were definitely the duck confit, salmon and mushroom risotto, and the Wagyu burgers as well as the mussels. But, really, everything was stellar. I had requested an isolated area because my group was large and could get a bit loud, and the area they gave us was absolutely PERFECT. Overall, had a fantastic time at BH!
We celebrated Fathers Day with Brunch at BlueHill. The staff was very accommodating. At first we sat outside but it became very warm so they gladly moved us inside. They accommodated my gluten free needs by providing veggies for the crab dip as well as the toast. Servers also saw to it that our bottomless drinks lived up the name. Of course the food is always good. We always enjoy going there.
I took my family here for an early Father's Day meal after receiving many recommendations from friends. I was extremely underwhelmed. I made the reservation for 8:30 on a Saturday night. Service was lack-luster and the drinks/food too way too long to get to the table, especially since we were one of the only tables in the restaurant. The impression that I got from everyone except the hostess and the food runner was that they didn't want to be there.
I have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. I like the combination of a sort of casual sort of nice bistro atmosphere. The food is very good and the service excellent. Very good value too.

My wife and I have been to blue hill tavern about 3 times. this past time was probably the best yet. We will certainly be back. For a starter, we had the fried pickles and banana peppers. For dinner, my wife had scallops and I had a Portobello/spinach/feta cheese option that was absolutely amazing! I was on the fence about it because it didn't include any meat. I was very pleased with my choice. We also had the "Candy bar" for desert. It was a nice way to wrap up our date.
The food was fantastic! Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our waiter, Jake, was also wonderful and made everyone feel welcomed. Would definitely visit here again!
Great food - kind staff! The crab cakes, pork, steak, and salmon were all incredible. Very satisfied and will definitely return!
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was very good, and our waitress was excellent.
Food was good. Do not order the cocktails - esp the Margarita Is prepared in a keg and was horrible. Waiter was less than enthused to deal with it. Ordered a vodka and tonic - came in a dirty glass with food pieces on it. Waiter was demonstrably less than excited. Did not deal with it properly. Wine list is weak st best. Would not order any of them. Got a replacement vodka and tonic and it was watered down.
