   Our experience was above and beyond any expectations we may have had. Music was excellent as was the service. It was a busy Saturday and the chef accommodated my special dietary requirements in style/with great taste. Can’t say enough about how wonderful all of it was. I intend to come back!

   Love love love this place for the music and the quality of service and food but this last weekend, 05/20/2023, the food was the least satisfying that I have ever had. Not sure if changes in chef, cutting cost or someone just having a bad day, but the output was noticeably not the same as I have experienced in the past. Hope their day gets better.

   We had a very nice evening and we would do it again. It costs a bit more than a typical restaurant with live music, but we thought it was a good value as everything was high quality.

   We did not eat because there were no options available that I was looking for. You used to have a cheese tray, which is what I wanted and it has been discontinued. I highly recommend d you bring this option back.

   The Blue Llama hosts world class music in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. The quality of sound, decor and exceptional service add to the charming experience you find at this club. Last night, Dave Sharp's World's Quartet, delighted us with virtuosos playing intricate and beautiful rhythms, melodies and structures of music from far away lands. Was truly lucky to be there!

   My wife and I celebrated our 1yr. Anniversary here on 05/13/2023 . The food and and staff and band was the GREATEST, our waitress was prompt and very helpful. I Apologize for not remembering her name but she is awesome. We will be making another trip back . Thank you for the WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

    So glad they added the small tables close to the stage. Finally, you can hear the fantastic music over the talking! I never miss a chance to hear Ron Brooks's groups, and they never disappoint.

    The club is an amazing dining destination for food of the Americas and the great American music - jazz! I loved last night's music of the Lunar Octet and so did the rest of the room. They listened attentively and did not talk too much during the music. It took a while for the waiter to get to me for ordering food and drink, but the music held my attention while I waited. Once the service started, all was well. I loved the Grilled Caesar Salad. You could tell that the dressing was fresh and made with delicious anchovies. A winner!! Not so sure about the Frog Legs. I normally love them sauteed with a butter, a little olive oil, garlic, parsley, lemon and perhaps a dash of Pernod. These were Cajun coated and deep fried. A little too much salt overpowered the delicacy of the meat. I'd back off the salt and offer a lemon aioli for dipping to add some tenderness to the deep-fried treats. Perhaps a lemon wedge at serving might add some moisture. Kudos to Blue LLama for putting frog legs on the menu and trying new and different approaches.

    I've reviewed Blue LLama before with a five star rating. While the ambience, music and service remain outstanding as ever, the food value proposition has declined significantly. The quality and creativity are still very good, but prices have risen while portion size has declined to the laughable. The always-enjoyable palate-opener has disappeared, at least on last night's visit. A shared appetizer-sized ceviche provided two of us one+ forkfuls of marinated crawfish apiece, while the "Main Attraction" course consisted of two (!) large ravioli on a plate, with nothing else. I'll definitely be back for the music, but may take a pass on dinner next time.

    To begin, I’ve been looking forward to this experience all year. We went for my 30 birthday. Did not do anything to recognize my birthday, despite writing it on the reservation. Music was very good, and singers were incredible. However, service was incredibly poor. We got the upgraded wine pairing, which consisted of three glasses of wine. The wine came after the food - it was not paired. Also, one of the wines I don’t like and we were not offered another option. Food was OK, however came out all at once ( not well spaced). We had three in our party and were squeezed on the end of a bar table. Would still recommend a friend with understanding that you go for the music.

    We had a very good experience. The food was very good, although it is a very limited menu. The drinks were fantastic. The band was terrific. Our only complaint was that we thought the band was way too loud. They were very good and entertaining, but it was almost impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. Also, the waitstaff could not hear what we were ordering and had to ask for clarification several times. The atmosphere would have been much better if the volume was turned down just a tad, enough that you can still have a conversation.

    We didn’t have any food. We’d seen cheese plates and charcuterie online but were told those were only available on the tasting menu. Bar tenders did not have a full rail but were not very attentive. Music was excellent (and our reason for coming). Drinks were fine.

    We loved it! The food was delicious and the portions were good. Martinis were $15 which I think is reasonable. We really enjoyed dining while listening to the great live jazz. Our waiter Cameron was efficient and friendly. We will be back.!

    We should all say thank you to owner of the Blue Llama. He has created one of the premium Jazz venues in the United States. Look at the premium musicians they book. The space is intimate. Taste their food and cocktails. Show me another jazz venue with Petrus on the wine list. The staff is warm and knowledgeable. Ann Arbor is so fortunate.

    Food was a little off this evening. The steak and potatoes were great but everything seemed lukewarm on the plate. The spicy cauliflower was a bit soggy and didn’t look appealing on the plate. We actually didn’t know what it was until I tasted it first…I LOVE BLUELLHAMA so I will return but for $220 a couple, I expected near perfection. The quartet was beautiful and we truly enjoyed the entertainment…and the service (and our wonderful waitress) was stellar though!!!!

    Love Blue Llama, its ambiance, staff, and its music. Disconcerted and surprised, though, to see a 3% "credit card fee" added to the bill. I've never seen this before in a restaurant.

    I love you guys. Great place to go. BUT last night with the salsa gig, it wasn't what I was expecting. 1) Got there at 7 pm and the band was already 30 minutes into their set? 2) People dancing. I'm all about people dancing but didn't realize there would be a salsa dancing group in the audience who wanted to dance. I usually go there to listen to good music, kick back and watch the band, not how well people salsa dance. 3) Food - fries were ALL salt. Tried wiping them off with my finger, then my napkin, then just left them 4) Went to pay...got a bill for $85.00. That was after I paid on line. Waitperson looked at my receipt on my phone and apologized and refunded me the bill. I tipped her $20 because se was great. OH! When the band took a break (30 minutes after we arrived) a dance instructor came out to give lessons. Once again VERY cool. But screaming into the microphone for 20 minutes "1 2 3 5 6 7" over and over and over and over. We had to leave. I still love you guys, love your venue, love the food and drinks and staff. Will be more careful when choosing the "experience" in the future. Thanks! Mike Mnich

    This is the second time I’ve been to Blue Llama and continue to be impressed with the service and the food. Our server recommended a great wine pairing for our meal and continuously checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
