Blue Martini Jazz Cafe Ratings and Reviews
Ambience was great! Music is fabulous! Service was impeccable! Food was very good but could’ve been a couple of degrees warmer.
Blue Martini has become 1 of my favourite dining spots .. food is consistently delicious & the music is very enjoyable. Great service & friendly staff. Will be back again :)
Picked this venue because we wanted to have some jazz while in Vancouver. Staff was very friendly. since we had dinner, did not have to pay a cover charge for the music. small, intimate venue for music, well worth the trip. Menu a mixture of Italian and Louisiana style dishes, all prepared and served well.
Amazing service, food and great ambience. Would definitely go back for the experience and the chocolate ganache cake!
We had great food and attentive service. The Jazz music was engaging and well done.
Had a Great evening the Staff were very accommodating enjoy the Martini's and food
We went to the Restaurant because of it's Jazz Music reputation. They had a single musician not the Jazz that we expected but still had a wonderful evening and will certainly return on a Friday or Saturday for the Jazz.
Very nice venue and friendly staff.
Food is also good .Entertainment also enjoyable
Service was slow, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the server brought me just 4 meatballs. I was told it shouldn't take very long for the order but ended up waiting another 15 minutes before the meal arrived and my daughters dinner was placed under heat lamp while we waited so we could eat together. The manager came by and said you ordered meatballs and I said no I ordered spaghetti, I didn't get an I'm sorry your order got mixed up instead I was made to feel I was the one who made the mistake.
We were a group o 6 people celebrating a birthday. We arrived during happy hour and were almost the last to leave. The food was great and the music was excellent (although it wasn't Jazz music). We will be back for sure.
I took my mom for a late mother's day dinner while she was in town and we went with two other friends - I had purchased the Groupon for a three course dinner for four. I had not heard of the restaurant until I saw the Groupon, which was fantastic value. I would definitely return to this restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed the music, the martinis and every course was delicious (especially the Jack Daniels Peppercorn steak), as well as large portions. Our server was really attentive and personal; even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt forgotten at any moment.
place is great. very elegant setup and decor. The Jazz was fantastic. food was very tasty. wine list was great and the service was very good and very friendly/ we will come again. thaks for a lovely evening we had this last Sunday night,
Great food and music but music can be difficult to hear due to diners talking loudly.
Their the specialty, the Blue Martini is wonderful. They have a great selection of cocktails. Love the jazz atmosphere.
Almost want to keep this place a secret lest it becomes too popular! Love the live jazz, staff are engaging and food is delightful.
Great place, good food, nice music, service is average.
Birthday and trying out one neighbourhood restaurant.
It was a birthday celebration, had an awesome time
Food was okay. Jambalaya was a disappointing. Even though we stayed and spent a considerable amount on dinner, we were charged cover for a mediocre band. I told the waitress that I felt they should eliminate or at least lower the cover for those buying dinner or spending a certain amount. She asked me if I wanted to tell the manager. I agreed that I would be happy to speak to him. Her proceeded to argue with me and got very indignant. I told him it was a suggestion for the future and he got very rude. The waitress actually apologized for his behaviour. I would not go back largely due to his behaviour.
Good restaurant with okay food and good service. Music was a bit loud and definitely not jazz. Good deals during happy hour. Cool room with cool lighting 😎
Good place, fun, nice atmosphere, good food.
Music was great, the only thing negative was that it was really loud and we couldn't talk to each other.
If they tuned it down a bit, I would definitely come back.
Great ambience , amazing food and lovely service ! Thank you blue martini chef and staffs !
Awesome experience. Great menu and music.
It's quite a bit wait between appetizers and entrees. I guess because they're fairly busy, almost full house on a Sunday night.
Overall, we'd a great time!
Sunday Jazz Jam from 6-9 pm is awesome. The food was good and we were well served. Lighting is a bit dark, you shouldn't need your pho e to read the menu.
Great food, great ambience, great service, great music! A nice change from our usual dining routine and enjoyed the music (Spectrum) plus the night club ambience . Would definitely return for another date night!
Incredible spot. Atmosphere and food both superb. For the quality of food the prices were more than fair.
An upscale gem in Kits. Cosy but intimate. Wonderful ambience. Loved the blue lighting but tables lit well enough to not have to struggle reading the menu.
Mussels appy was delicious & the lemon chicken with capers, outstanding as was the creme brulee. One of the best we've had anywhere! Service was friendly & attentive. Great live music & dancing means we'll be returning on a regular basis!
We visited late night.
Servers didnt introduce table right away, so we waited few minutes.
We ordered tiramisu and cream brulee.
I found a hair in tiramisu. It was so bad.
We said that problem to our server.
However, she didnt say any sorry and just took it.
We are upset. we told to manager. but his attitude is also not good. Anyway, we didnt pay about tiramisu.
Im so disappointed.
Additionally, music is not jazz. its like a country songs. Its diffrent to my expectation. but pretty good mood.
We had a great time my meal was excellent. I would certainly return.
My date said she has never had a better date in her life.
Very good service, food wasn't great, steak was tougher than expected but it's a good change as you don't get a live band most places. Prices without groupon are quite high, $10 cover charge and $39 for a 8 oz steak that isn't tender with 2 prawns.
It was date night and our first time for dinner here and had a lovely experience. We were there early so wasn't very busy, but was filling up when we left at 7:30. The food and service was great! And loved the vibe!Next time we'll come later so we can stay for the live music.
This was my first time here and I already made reservations to go back. Everything was awesome the food, waiter, music....The whole place had a great energy and vibe.
We bought a Groupon and discovered this great spot. Food was delicious. Live jazz music was great. Not too loud so we could still have a conversation. Service was good although not super fast. We would definitely go there again. Would be fun with another couple too.
Wonderful music, excellent pasta-service fair, particularly considering it was our 10 year anniversary. No mention made by server-service acceptable but certainly not above and beyond. Tiramisu absolutely delicious. Music was amazing! This spot is a rare gem in a part of town that does not have too many offerings for great adult music paired with great food. Cozy ambiance.
Great food, awesome cocktails, nice wine list, friendly staff plus live jazz to entertain us. Excellent restaurant for a special night out. We really enjoyed our evening.
I really enjoyed the night there for dinner..And the Jazz band playing music ..Definitely a great dinner time/dine out..
would like to see aa web site so we can see who is playing nightly
First restaurant on our #DineOut Vancouver list - Blue Martini Jazz Cafe Vancouver.
It was our first time to this restaurant so we were looking forward to trying new dishes.
It started off well with bubbly and the appetizers. The spicy meatballs were tasty and the presentation was well done; and the Kale Caesar salad was surprisingly good considering how bitter Kale can be. Excellent starters.
Only two out of the four main dishes we ordered were worth mentioning... the Seafood Linguini was full of an assortment of seafood and the sauce had the right mix of herbs and spices to enhance the flavours. The Cajun Catfish was also exceptional. Moist, well seasoned fish on a bed of broth-infused rice topped with crab and shrimp. The other two were rather blasé. The Lemon chicken was hardly 'lemony', very thin and a bit dry however the veggies were done perfectly; and the Salmon, while tasty, was over cooked. The 'fully loaded' baked potato (an extra charge) was a winner though.
Tiramisu, the only desert offered, was light and very flavourful - quite delicious and well presented.
The biggest disappointment? We went to a Jazz cafe looking forward to hearing Jazz/Blues music and ended up with extremely loud Mexican/Spanish! Really?
A bright spot of the evening was our server Tisan (sp?) a lovely gentleman from Brazil. Attentive and gracious.
It was a nice experience. Music was just so so, expected more divers jazz, sounded all the same.
