Food and service absolutely outstanding. There may well be a place or two in Atlanta as good, but definitely none better.
We took a family member to Blue Ridge Grill to celebrate his birthday. The customized menu wishing him happy birthday was a special touch and a great start to the evening. Our server forgot to put in our order for raw oysters, but she recovered from there and worked hard to make it a very enjoyable evening.
The ambience is that of a mountain lodge, so if you're looking for shiny and loud, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a place with an upscale rustic ambience where you can have a conversation without screaming and a menu that is loaded with great choices, BR Grill is your place.
The menu had no less than four fish choices on it from mountain trout (of course) to red snapper (delicious) to halibut and branzino. They had scallops, pasta, at least two or three steak choices, lamb and chicken dishes and wonderful choices of sides, such as collard greens and ladyfinger peas. I have been twice recently and still haven't finished exploring the menu like I want to.
We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and the table decorations as well as the HUGE and delicious ice cream cake dessert were a BIG hit! Todd did an excellent job of taking care of us! Many thanks!
I thought the food was quite good, with a few small issues...the Caesar salad was not special and the croutons seemed out of a box. I wish I had ordered a different salad choice. The fish entrees were expensive and portions were too small. My husband said he would have complained but we were entertaining. The entree flavors were very good however. I hope they will add a bit more to the plates next time!
Great meal - the tuna tartare and the trout were delicious. Extensive wine list with lots of interesting choices and good price points. Service was wonderful. Will definitely return!
We were greeted and seated promptly. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The service and food were very good. It was our birthday, and the table cloth was decorated...quite lovely, and we were treated to dessert.
we live an hour away and we STILL make BRG our go to place for special occasions. If we were closer we would go more often!
Blue Ridge is a favorite of mine. Service is always wonderful. The menu has interesting choices and food is delicious. It’s on the higher end but worth it. My pork chop was slightly over cooked this time. This was the first time ever that my meal wasn’t perfectly cooked. Wonderful for a special occasion or a date night. When it’s on the menu, their lobster bisque is amazing!!
This was my best experience to date at Blue Ridge Grill! We celebrated my birthday with some friends, and BRG made it such a special experience! Service was amazing, food was exquisite!!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.....that was the rating from each of us. Everyone contributed to making my husbands birthday a special one!
We had a great night. Excellent young waiter. Thanks.
Outstanding as always. Service was exceptional!! Not a huge fan of the iPad wine list
Good food and service as always. There was a table next to us where one diner had been WAY over served and after it was obvious the waiter kept bringing drinks to them. Was very unpleasant until he left. Food was good but not great like normal.
The ambience wonderful and relaxing, great service and delicious appetizers and entrees. A neighborhood favorite. Staff so kind and accommodating!
Always lives up to expectations: great food, excellent service.
We had a great dinner at Blue Ridge Grill. Definitely pricey ($250 for three people, but we all had salad, entree and dessert). But the food was DELICIOUS. Best meal I've had in quite a long time. I loved the scallops, my mother raved about her crab cakes and my husband enjoyed his Lamb. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.
Overall it was a great experience. The waiter forgot to put in the our side dish order which isn't that big of a deal, except we were almost done with our entrees by the time it arrived at the table. Mostly the lower rating is because the restaurant was FREEZING! I know it's July but it wasn't crowded at all.
Way too expensive and the server only suggested to us the most expensive wine by the glass!
we were having a meal before a concert and were short on time. after letting staff know, they went out of their way to provide us with prompt service. the food was excellent (veal meatball appetizer and seafood pasta were both outstanding) and Shannon provided unparalleled service. I would go back just to have him wait on us again - a true professional in an industry that needs this type of consistency.
We decided to try Blue Ridge Grill for the first time after seeing a show at The Fox. The food (beet salad, scallops, burger) and drinks were all very good, though our server was not super helpful with recommendations - her answers were a bit vague and didn't help drive a decision. Regardless, we had a very nice overall experience and will be back for another special occasion in the future.
Love this place! Great service. Food is amazing.
Always great. A must when in Atlanta for many years.
Always an excellent choice for a business or pleasure dinner. A little disappointed in the service at the bar this time around. Had to beg for additional cheese crackers, refills and closing out the ticket.
We had an AMAZING meal!!! Everything was perfect and Evan our waiter .... A TRUE GENTLEMAN!! We are from Illinois and are already planning a trip back!!
great food and service, but horrible valet guy!!!!!!!!!!!! the valet line was super long when we finished dinner and we had to wait for 20 mins and then the valley guy yelled at me. repeatedly. and then slammed on the brakes of my brand new car that I had just gotten 3 days earlier. ruined the great dinner we had.
Only reason I am docking the food and the overall was that my scallops were overcooked and hence rubbery. Everything else was really tasty (especially the mussels appetizer, the prawns, the hallibut, and the English pea risotto). Shoe string onions added nothing to the halibut dish as well.
It seemed like the value was a little off too $35-$40 an entree is a little bit steeper than I would expect for this level of quality of food. Like I said above the food was a LITTLE inconsistent.
The service was impeccable, however.
Blue Ridge Grill is one of my 3 or 4 favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I have never had a bad meal there. The service is good and it is not too loud. I have taken many friends there all of whom have loved it and gone back whenever they are in town.
Very good food, excellent service
Food was great. Service was very good. A couple training suggestions to the server -- don't take bread, condiments, away without asking. We weren't finished. Also, they boxed up the fat and bone from my steak when I separated it on the plate and explained this to the server. Really didn't want to see that mixed in and have to dispose of it when we got home.
Very loud- varies by location in restaurant - need to choose table carefully
As is usual in my many visits, the welcome and service were impeccable, the setting, ambience and physical design and execution as close to perfect as makes no difference and the New Southern cuisine 90 percent right. The crab cake starter is the best and most likely the largest in the city. It is set off by puddles of grain mustard seed sauce, aromatic oil and a frisee salad dressed to perfection - and I am no fan of frisee. Spicy crab gumbo, a special, was all that could be expected of this traditional dish. My day boat scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked. Ditto the lightly sauteed spinach for the table and so, I was told, was a salmon BLT that one of my companions enjoyed but did not share. The complimentary ice-cream birthday "cake" at the end of the meal was a nice touch. On other trips - almost always lunch - I have enjoyed the lobster cobb salad, the lobster BLT, and the fresh fish of the day. As to the ten percent negative, the loaf of bread that begins the meal is better than grocery store but not much. The owners would do well to find out who supplies the loaves at Atmosphere Bistro in Midtown and switch suppliers. The scallops entree arrives on a misbegotten tangle of fried strands of vermicelli, cheese and corn succotash. If you happen to order the trio of scallops, order them naked.
Dinner was great, server made it like we were the only people in the restaurant. All in all a great dining experience. Definitely be back
My Seafood Pasta was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. My friend ordered coffee after dinner and the milk was a little curdled, though apologies were given and everything was promptly replaced. I love all of the old wood and the look of the place, though whats with the rabbit portrait? It's not outrageously expensive, but it is on the pricey side.
Friend’s birthday dinner party & Blue Ridge Grill made the table, menus & dessert extra special. We were not rushed even in a Saturday night.
My first time dining at Blue Ridge Grill was simply amazing. Our waiter, Shannon, was top notch. He was attentive and made my birthday a memorable one. Since I love scallops, I decided to try them and they didn't disappoint. They were cooked to perfection. I will be back again and again!!
The food and atmosphere here was wonderful, the service was impeccable. On the other side of it the price for me was at $150 after the tip and there was no alcohol or desert involved. This was for dinner so a somewhat higher price was expected, but this way out of my expectations.
The food wasn’t good! It was way overpriced for what you got. Will not go there again!
Great as usual
We hadn't been here in several years and wondered if they had maintained their high standards. We found they indeed had. This was the best meal we had during our Atlanta weekend. We'll definately return.
