We are from Kansas City Mo., and recently moved to east coast. We took the train from Philadelphia, to NYC to eat lunch at Blue Smoke. We were not disappointed, the ribs were served wet and were very moist, the chicken was served with dry rub and was not over cooked like you get in a lot of place's, the mac cheese could of used a little more smoke on it, the bean's were sweet, the Cole slaw was excellent. We had the Texas Twinkies for an appetizer that I'm going to try replicate, they were that good. I've not had the white BBQ sauce very many time's before so I can't say one way or the other, it was not bad on the chicken, the BBQ sauce had North Carolina vibe to it, but was good. All in all this is the closest thing to KC style BBQ that we have found on the east coast. We will go back again

We held our Business Team dinner at Blue Smoke followed by Jazz at the Jazz Standard standard. Everything was phenomenal. We would definitely use this venue again. It was highly recommended to us and everyone had a fabulous time.

Went to have lunch with family members. We decided on this place because the menu looked good as did the ambiance. We were all underwhelmed with our orders, except for the madelines. Maybe our mistake was that we did not go straight for the BBQ meats. If I try this place again, I'll have to try the BBQ choices. Also, the service was very energetic and polite. They were also able to accommodate my toddler son. Thanks.

The food was all precooked and barely warmed when it came to the table. For 3 people the meal cost $175, the quality was extremely disappointing and the restaurant was freezing cold.

I haven't been there for years & the menu is entirely different. I was hoping that was a good thing, but it wasn't. I had the Cornish hen which was dry and tasteless, followed by the banana pudding, which was inedible. My friend's brisket was only slightly better. At this point, there are many better BBQ places to eat at. I recommend that you go elsewhere.

Solid bbq place and great for a dinner with friends ... the food is delicious and it is presented beautifully (I love bbq on a tin tray). Beers and bourbons are also on offer to complete the vibe Decor is ok, ambiance is fine although a little impersonal, price was right! Four stars

Food was excellent. Service was a bit of a let down. We were seated at a small table and after ordering we felt that one of the larger two seater tables would accommodate all the food better. My wife mentioned this to the women at the front desk but we weren’t moved. When the food came the waiter agreed that the table was a bit small for all the food so her moved us to the larger two seater table. The woman at the front desk came over and was quite short with us telling us that we should have told her we were moving, even though it was the waiter that had moved us. Her attitude kind of spoiled the night. The food was excellent though.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Blue Smoke and this last visit was nothing short of amazing. Our server, Freddy, made it a point to make sure we selected the correct menu items as the menu has changed since the last time I was there and his suggestions were great. The wing sampler was different but very tasty and the cornbread Madeline’s were just INCREDIBLE. The whipped cheesecake and the banana pudding were also amazing. It’s definately a place you’d want to try multiple times because the menu has so much to offer.

This place was recommended to us my friends who’d visited NYC earlier this year and we were not disappointed. The welcome and seating service was efficient and courteous. The waiter explained items we weren’t sure about and was particularly helpful when we mentioned an allergy in our party. The menu choice is great and plenty of options for sides etc. The food quality is outstanding and we polished off the lot. Thoroughly recommended the pork wings ( pigs fly in nyc apparently) and the brisket beef. Pork and beans side were to die for. All round an awesome night and experience. Thank you

Blue Smoke has been one of my favorites for years. Hadn't been there in two years but the food was just as good as I remember. In particular, their smoked brisket is outstanding. went there on a friday night with friends and you could actually talk and hear each other, unlike many other restaurants in Manhattan. Nice ambiance too. Moderately priced (for Manhattan) but still, can't give it 5 stars on price.

We had been in the air all day and a little jaded. We were warmly welcomed and expected. The food was great as was the ambience. We had baby back ribs and a good bottle of Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. We had said when booking that it was our anniversary so we were gifted a glass each of tasty bubbly. A lovely touch.

I took my wife and two kids. The service was great. Our principal waiter was very friendly, articulate and helpful. The food was delicious and filling. I worried that I might need a nap when I returned to the office. I've been here many times before and plan to return again and again.

This was my second time eating at Blue Smokehouse and the second time that I celebrated a special occasion. I felt welcome as soon as we walked in. The food was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and happy. They seemed to like their jobs. I will be coming back soon. I love this place.

Had the Beef Ribs, they were a little dry for my liking. I expected a little more meat left on the bone, seemed over trimmed. Over all taste was good. Salad and sides were excellent.

My wife and I shared the skillet Mac & Cheese, a pound of the brisket and the biscuits. They were fabulous, without any barbecue sauce, which, by the way, was not on the table, nor was any offered when we commented to our waiter how we normally have a variety of sauces to choose from at most “barbecue joints”. That said, we enjoyed our meal, had more than enough portions, and the flavors couldn’t be topped! We look forward to coming again when we next visit NYC!

Blue Smoke is a great place, only complaint is we ordered the full smoke pit dinner and they only give you one rib each. Come on guys, you should give at least 2 and probably 3, other then that food is awesome and The biscuits might be the best I ever had!

Love Blue Smoke! Seth and all the wait staff welcomed us like royalty. The food was delicious. Some of the best bbq around in NYC! The cornbread madeleines are a must order! Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in New York.

Limping along on only one air conditioner on a 95 degree day in Manhattan is bad. Lying about it to customers so that they sweat through their meal is not cool. Food was colder than the room.
