We had excellent service, great food, and a very nice time at brunch on a Sunday. The staff was attentive to dietary restrictions (gluten free, not for fun but because of celiac disease) and the whole meal was great. My friends and I will be returning. Soon. :)

I used Open Table to set a reservation for my friend's birthday celebration. Initially, I put "Girls night" as the reason to celebrate, but called the restaurant to tell them of my friend's birthday. I wanted to order a dessert, but keep it a surprise and made that as clear as possible and repeated the statement multiple times. I showed up early to the restaurant and spoke directly to the hostesses reminding them that I wanted the specific dessert and wanted the dessert to be a surprise. Somehow there was failed communication between the staff as the server had no clue about the specific instructions. I communicated TWICE my specific instructions of receiving a dessert as a SURPRISE. The server asked repeatedly if we wanted dessert, when we wanted it, and what kind. I tried to subtly let him know yes, which dessert, and later, and finally gave up keeping it a surprise and asked if he could take a look at my reservations instructions/ special notes. He came back and acknowledge the accident, but by that point there had been at least THREE incidents where I had to verbally dance around a surprise birthday dessert DIRECTLY in front of my friend. If Blue Sushi Sake Grill is going to have special notes as a part of the reservation, the restaurant hosts need to do their one job of relaying the message. I say this having worked as a hostess, to-go specialist, server, bartender, and food manager. Beyond the multiple awkward moments, the sake was mid, the vegan sushi was all very delicious. The ice cream bomb dessert came along with a lit candle that was a nice touch.

This was quite a surprise--we went for a corporate birthday lunch--and were all impressed by the ambience, the quality and taste of the food, the service, all great! We asked the server for the most popular dishes and we almost requested everything she suggested...and it was ALL amazing. If you haven't gone, this is one you have to (su)SHEE!!!

They need to provide better service on weekends. The food was super late but our server was great. The music was not good and was very loud.

This was our second visit to Blue Sushi and we loved it! Quickly becoming one of our favorites! We particularly enjoy the cooked (vs raw) offerings and had the Hotel Cali, Super Asparagus, and the Thriller. Followed up with the Chocolate Spring Rolls, which were unbelievable!

Always enjoy myself at Blue. Sometimes it’s hard to find a table where you can actually hold a conversation without getting drowned out by all of the noise but otherwise it’s a great experience.

I dined here for my birthday and had such an amazing experience! The manager and staff were happy to accommodate us on finding a quieter table since the patio was a bit loud at the time. The server we had was exceptional and truly made my birthday dinner special by bringing out a surprise dish that I had my eyes on but hadn’t even mentioned! Overall everything we had from the appetizers, shared plates, sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls were phenomenal in quality and taste! Also the fried ice cream is HUGE, but so tasty! Personally wish I could have thanked everyone on staff for making my evening so wonderful!

I went with my girlfriend and had a special request to have a roll brought to us with it saying “will you be my girlfriend?” written out in sauce. It was amazing and caught both of us off guard. Food was great and service was amazing.

We’re visiting Austin and we’re looking for a good sushi place after a long day at F1. We really enjoy everything. Lindsey was awesome! We had the shishito peppers that come with a delicious sauce. The Amazon role with a chimichurri sauce as well as the Spicy Gringo role. Both very tasty. I highly recommend eating at Blue Sushi Sake Grill.

We really enjoyed the sushi restaurant. Our biggest issue is actually finding parking. Some of the roads leading to the parking garage were blocked off. The parking closest to the restaurant has a section for valet only. I was able to text them through this open table app. I don’t know if they got it, but we didn’t lose our reservation. So, I’m thankful. My advice would be to plan accordingly for extra drive time, especially if you are going on a weekend.

Reserved a Standard Table. 1st seated on the Patio, glassed in but a patio. Sun was shining right in your face. Moved to a high top, only option, AC blowing right on you. No standard tables available. When you are offers choices, standard, patio, high top and you select standard that is what you expect.
