   I went for my birthday and this was hands down the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. They were all so nice especially Hector. Me and my boyfriend got the bacon wrapped scallops and tuna tar tar appetizer, the normal filet and the filet Diablo as meals, and a side of truffle fried and the Mac and cheese. All of the food was 11/10. So yummy. They had such good service and would always stop by our table to pour us more champagne from our bottle we never had to pour it ourselves. I wish I could eat here every night.

   Generally just ok. The start and finish were the best courses. Crab cake appetizer was tasty and the chocolate lava cake was very good. The fillet duo was nothing spectacular and we were really expecting more. While the fillets were prepared as requested just not flavorful. Service was very good.

   Disappointing. Dined here to celebrate a college graduation. Chose three different wines by the bottle and they were out of stock. Manager did a small discount our fourth selection. Nice that he did but it was on my request. Our two servers did not no what the other was doing in servicing our table. My cocktail I ordered they didn't have the ingredients to make. Food was not fitting of other high end steakhouses that we have dined.

    This was the 2nd time we used the price fixed Groupon for Bobby Van's. It's a fabulous deal and the food and service is wonderful. The shrimp cocktail is marvelous. The shrimp are so firm and chilled perfectly. The warm bread is top notch. The filet is a really good size and not petite. It's seasoned so well. The 2 sides were the mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. Both were excellent. We shared the cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake and both were delicious. With the high cost of going to a top steak house this deal is affordable for most everyone

    Food was great, but a “porterhouse for 2” at “44” oz which I highly doubt it was, more likely closer to 34 being 176 dollars is just robbery honestly. Steak meals way overpriced I’d suggest joes over Bobby vans every day for this same atmosphere

    Steak Diablo was not to my liking. Shrimp tough, overcooked. Steak was not medium, well done. Sea bass was great for my wife. I’m an executive chef & expecting better food for cost. Dessert took forever & was comped. Service was outstanding!

    Delicious steak and an extensive wine list. Warning that the sides are meant to serve 2. Fairly expensive and mostly full of tourists due to proximity to the White House.

    Our last night in DC and Bobby Van’s was across the street from our hotel. The food was excellent - Caesar salad, linguini and clams, chicken Parmesan, Hoisin Glazed Salmon all were delicious. Desserts - lemon sorbet, crème brûlée, chocolate lava cake and cheese cake were all delicious too. Our server, Apolinar was superb and made the whole dining experience wonderful. I highly recommend dinner at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse - even if you don’t have steak.

    Bobby V's never disappoints the service is by far the best in the DC Metro area couple the tasty and well portioned servings with that, and you have a great night of fine dining! Thanks again for listening to our needs and providing us with prompt and effective service to ensure we were able to reach our concert on time! I can't wait for our next visit.

    We used a Groupon so it was a very good value. Previously the Groupon gave us a choice of more cuts of meat. Now the only beef choice is filet mignon. That was okay by me but my husband elected to pay another $17 to upgrade his meal to NY Strip.

    Nice restaurant in DC with a good mix of dinner options from beef to seafood. The service was tremendous; very attentive and polite servers and the manager stopped by to check on us also. I had a filet and my wife had a petite filet with shrimp; our side was truffle fries. We also both had French onion soup as an appetizer and we had a cocktail first and then a glass of wine with dinner. Our steaks were very good, the fries very well cooked/seasoned, and the soup was excellent. I would give it a higher overall score if they could improve a few things. The cocktails were okay but not "finished" and it wasn't that busy so the bartender should not have been in a rush. For example, my old fashioned tasted like straight rye whiskey on ice. Only when I got to the bottom of the cocktail did I taste any simple syrup and by then, it was nothing but that. The drink clearly had not been mixed well. My wife's Cosmo was about the same. Her shrimp were also overcooked. The other thing I found a little odd was that virtually everything except the main courses was $15. Cosmo, $15; Old fashioned, $15. Soup, $15. Truffle fries, $15. We didn't have a salad or dessert, but if I had to guess, those would be $15! Seems like there should be some variation. Why am I paying the same price for truffle fries or soup that I am for a cocktail? Overall it was a good experience and nice meal with great service, but just needs some improvements.

    The restaurant is pretty rundown. Steaks were excellent. Sides were okay. The food took a long time to come out. They didn’t have a few of the whiskeys our group wanted that was on the menu. Overall experience was only okay at best. For the amount of money we paid, definitely expected more.
