    I’ve been coming to Bob‘s for over 10 years. It used to be a date night spot once every few weeks. Last night we started and ordered incredible appetizers. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops. The waitress recommended and they were delicious! Then we ordered steaks. Assuming we didn’t need a recommendation as this is a steakhouse. When the steaks arrived our medium rare ribeye was served medium to medium well so we asked for a different steak cooked medium rare. The manager came up with zero apology and’San annoyed look on his face and told us to cut into the steak. it was literally raw. We just said it was fine and left it behind. We didn’t want anything compd. We just wanted a steak at a steakhouse to be cooked properly. This place has gone way downhill, if a manager ever has to come to a table it’s embarrassing enough for everybody… you should go above and beyond to make sure your customers are satisfied let alone the steak is cooked properly. I will say they got that carrot perfectly, though, lol. Lastly, if you sit upstairs on the beautiful patio, beware that they allow smoking up there. When we were up there two different tables of men were smoking cigars.

    Our steaks were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Our server was very pleasant and checked on us regularly. We wanted a great steak place while in Austin and this place met the challenge!

    I was under the impression that there was a Thanksgiving and the normal menu but alas I was mistaken. The service was excellent so I quickly got over that let down. It was quite dark in the restaurant but I think all steak houses seem to be geared in that fashion. No table lamps or candles available so I did the unthinkable and use my mobile phone. All in all it was a decent first dining experience.

    We ate at the Patio bar. Serina was a fantastic bartender and server!!! She made a magnificent martini!! The steaks were top notch and the sides fantastic.

    Ordered MR-M NY Strip. Came out black and blue. Absolutely bizarre for a steakhouse to get it this wrong. Was not taken off check. Won’t be back again. Too many good steak restaurants in this town to settle for this.

    The food was outstanding, service was a little better than average and the noise level was higher for the experience I was looking for. I compliment the back of the house for the preparation and presentation of our food. For that reason I will return but it will not be on my must go to list for friends or on my next trip to Austin.

    Bobs is a restaurant I've frequented countless times. This time, however, my experience was surprisingly subpar. It's disheartening to visit a high-end establishment, spend nearly half a grand, and receive service that doesn't meet the expected standard for this type of restaurant. My server, regrettably, seemed disinterested in providing us with a genuine dining experience. At one point, when my husband inquired about the cheesecake, her response was lackluster, almost as if she were withholding her true opinion. As we finished our meal, the situation highlighted our disappointment. I was holding our baby, my husband carried the car seat and our food, my six-year-old was responsible for our backpack, and near the exit stood a tall man and a young woman. One would expect that common decency should prompt them to open the door, especially seeing that our hands were full. However, they looked at us without offering any assistance. The occasion for our visit was to celebrate my husband's recent promotion, a detail I had mentioned in the notes. Surprisingly, not one person acknowledged the occasion or congratulated him. It was these personal touches and the genuine warmth that I've come to expect from Bob's in the past. The level of service and attention to detail that we encountered during this visit did not meet the high standard we've come to associate with Bob's. I must express my deep disappointment with the experience.

    Went here for an anniversary dinner. Got tuna tartare appetizer, chophouse salad, and steak entrees. Food was delicious and we had enough to stuff ourselves plus take a full serving home each. Our server, Troy, was friendly and on top of everything. We dined inside to avoid the heat, and the ambiance was good for the occasion: dark with some mood lighting, moderate chatter in the background, good visual presentation. Plenty of privacy. Overall great experience. Very expensive but you get what you pay for, plus isn’t splurging a bit part of the fun when it comes to anniversaries and such?

    Crab cakes way too salty. Hated to send it back. Got salmon next and it was raw inside. Great servers but the kitchen needs work. Too expensive for the quality of my experience

    Our server, and food, were fantastic - but the experience was one of worst/most bizarre of my life. A table of 15+ extremely drunk college kids screamed at the top of their lungs the entire meal (including frequent profanities) and the general manager did nothing about it at all. Servers and patrons begged him to remove the people at the table, including a family with a small child sitting directly next to to the table, and he refused. These kids were probably drunk when they arrived, continued to be served, and the alcohol remained on the table while they were standing up screaming and slurring their words. Not only a dining nightmare, but very unsafe management of alcohol and patrons consuming it. They did comp everyone’s meals for having to deal with the table, but I’m sure servers tips will hurt from that. Wish they had just removed the drunk and disorderly table.

    The food was quality but expensive. That's to be expected from a downtown steakhouse, but the entrees felt like they were from another time. Like an Austin, circa 2005. This would've been a hit restaurant then. Now? It's fine. The steaks were good but not spectacular, and for that price, they need to up their game just a touch. Also, the dinnerware looked very "restaurant supply store" plates. A good experience, but nothing exceptional.

    The first time here. The steak was great, salmon lacked flavor as did the potatoes. Portion sizes were generous. Atmosphere is dark and outdated. This wouldn't be high on my recommendation list but it would be satisfactory if you are craving steak.

    Overall a pleasant dining experience. Steak was pretty nicely done but the real standouts were the lobster Mac and Cheese and the bread pudding. Appreciated the healthy pour of wine too. Ambience was nice but a little too dark imo. Service was good: they were attentive but we felt rushed towards the end. Ex. The waiter brought the check without us asking for it. It was only around 9pm but felt like they were trying to clear out the area (we were the last ones in that section).

    It’s crazy how at this place every single dish taste delicious. We had the porterhouse medium rare if you’re ordering it any other way please don’t go here, every single appetizer was delicious as well
