At Bob’s you are treated like family. When you arrive at your table, the famous pickles come standard and a fresh, hot loaf of bread is delivered almost immediately for you to enjoy while you order your drinks and your meal.
Known for our filets, Bob’s only serves prime cuts of beef. They have more marbling and flavor than the choice filets most other steak houses serve. Bob’s dinners have always included their iconic, larger than life, glazed carrot and your choice of potato. It’s a tradition and a great value they are proud to offer our guests. One carrot with one prime steak at a time totaling, about three tons of carrots each week. It may seem silly for a world-class steak house to tout its glazed carrot, but once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand.

We consider sleeveless shirts on men, flip flops, boldly logoed athletic attire/gym attire, beach/pool wear too casual. We also ask that ball caps be removed while in the restaurant. Business casual ok.

Two in the party, one entree was a ribeye and the other the Barramundi fish. Both dishes were significantly under cooked. The fish was returned as it was undercooked to the point yo couldn't separate a bite with a fork. Furthermore, the quality of the fish filet was extremely poor. The Prime ribeye was ordered medium-rare but came out rare. While it wasn't returned the steak was very tender or flavorful. The service was very nice. Overall, very disappointed in meal quality and prep.

My fiancé and I went to Bob's to celebrate my birthday and we had an absolutely fantastic meal. We both had filets and lobster tail. The filets were cooked to perfection. I think it was the best steak I've had in my entire life. The lobster was delicious and was topped with an amazing sauce. We also had delicious baked potatoes and carrots, as well as a side of the cheesiest Mac n cheese I've ever had. The ambiance was top tier - dim and quiet, but not dull. Very classy. Our service was spectacular! We didn't get the chance to try drinks.. I guess we'll have to come back in the near future! :)

We have been to Bob’s probably 20 times at this location. We always loved it given its location near our home. However, this may have been our last time. While Alan did a great job, the restaurant felt off and the food followed suit. Reservations were plentiful but we kept being told it was busy. Our salads were bland. The crab cakes cold. My medium rare filet was barely rare. The baked potato was cold - enough so that the butter and cheese barely melted. For the value - it was poor. Really disappointed as I’ve heard this similar review from others but decided to try. Disappointed for sure.

The steak was delicious! However, we were there for our anniversary and noted it on the reservation. The hostess congratulated us. The waitress never made mention of it. The manager came around at the end of our meal making small talk and also never mentioned our anniversary. Many nice places comp your dessert on a special occasion; not this one. It's fine though as we didn't go for free dessert and the key lime pie we paid for was fantastic. It also seemed that the time from finishing our meal to getting the check was very long which might mean they aren't as attentive as should be. All meals are served with a glazed carrot. The thinner parts of the carrot was very tasty. However, as you got into the thicker end, it was hard and seemed under cooked. But the steak and potatoes were great. We spent around $260 for the two of us.

First time to Bob's, overall a great experience. The sides, pickles, and carrot was amazing. Although I didn't receive the bone in ribeye I ordered originally, the filet that I did receive was good. The best part of the dinner was the service and staff. Tony was amazing and a true professional. I selected an odd Malbec wine, and he knew the whole story on the family and process for that particular bottle. We will definitely be back.

Jay has been serving us for a few years. He is our favorite server in the Austin area. He is awqys on point and makes sure our dining experience is excellent. The food and drink were outstanding. Can't wait to go back to Bob's.

For Bobs, this was quite disappointing… the food was questionable. Yellow lettuce 🥬 for the salad, not green. Steaks were choice, not prime, and side of Mac n Cheese was sour. I’ve dined at Bobs for many years, and never a disappointment until this visit at this location. They need to step it up a bit… we’ve honestly had better ribeye at Texas Roadhouse for 1/3 the price.

Classic steakhouse with phenomenal food, great wait staff and a nice wine list. Down side. Restaurant is part of a hotel/ resort and the front desk staff is horrible - awful attitudes and zero value add. We were there for a family birthday dinner with kids and they sat us next to a huge table of 8 rowdy, loud drunk guys that had just come off the golf course. We asked to move to a quiet booth nearby we were told the booths were reserved, but were never fully occupied for the entire time that we were there. We did enjoy a wonderful meal thanks to the kitchen and exceptional wait staff while trying to ignore the boisterous and foul language at the next table. Highly recommended for an after golf meal or with a group of guys. Absolutely a no-go zone for a date or family dinner. The location downtown has the same food and much better ambiance.

The food was amazing everything we ordered was on point we were not disappointed on any level. Our server was great she was not coming over to often but seemed to be there when we needed her. There was enough flavor and food to so when we left we were satisfied. I’ve been to the downtown Austin location but this one is now my favorite great ambience and setup.

The valet service was nice. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The service was very good. The dining area is rather average with some western themed décor. It looks like a standard hotel restaurant. The bar area was actually nicer than the main dining facility. The real problem here is the food. Although not the most expensive place you can go in Austin, it is not inexpensive, and sadly the food does not live up to the price point. The steak was sub-par, the mashed potatoes have far too much cream in them and for some unknown reason EVERY meal the night I was there came with a large carrot in the middle of the plate. The carrot was sweetened like a yam. It was just strange looking and out of place. On a positive note, the martinis were good and I do appreciate the gin selection.

I will tell you this, there is no place that does scallops like Bobs! It’s a steak house and that being said they tie in perfect pairs of rustic Texas Steakhouse appeal. Donovan and Robert are doing a fantastic job leading this team. The experience at Bobs is what you make it!! They will never let you down on service, knowledge and mostly the food! I could’ve stayed in the metroplex and gone to a place there, however, I was willing to drive almost 200 miles to eat at Bobs. This team is remarkable.

We are addicted to this place!!! To the point next weekend I’m coming to stay overnight just to dine at Bobs with a new guest!!! You’ll never have an experience like this if you let it happen! This place is phenomenal! The Steakhouse does just that! Steakhouse! Texas style with minimal diversions from the nice high end steakhouse feel most Texans expect! Fine cuts of meat, daily specials and a very knowledgeable team. If you want to experience classic steakhouse dining, this is your place! I recommend listening to the suggestions of the team when it comes to pairing and temperature. They’ve never “steered” us wrong!
