   We enjoyed this place while passing through Birmingham. It was close to our Airbnb and we were able to book bar seating within 10 minutes. There was no dress code mentioned, but we could tell the staff expected us and our kids to not be in casual clothes. They told us they weren't sure if our kids could sit at the bar and would check. They eventually said they could, but we might be more comfortable (or they would?) on the patio. It wasn't raining, so we said okay and it was nice out there. They asked if I would be comfortable "checking" my hat (addidas ball cap), which I didn't want to, but could tell they wanted me too, so I did. Nice ambiance inside and outside. The food was good, but pricey. The bread was outstanding (highlight). The pomodore was okay, the bolognese was great, the risotto balls (appetizer) were great, the veal meatball was good. Nice service, although weird to see a waitress still wearing a mask (and while we were outside). The donut/salted carmel donut with ice cream was okay - too salty in the center and just okay taste. Not as outstanding as advertised. Overall, a nice meal - but more for a fancy date...not really a stop with a couple teenagers and us all dressed casually. We probably would have waited for Mexican down the street next time, but the wait was an hour.

   Perhaps the best dining out meal I’ve ever had and complete unexpected. Each course was amazing, from appetizer, salad, primo, main course, and dessert.

   The service was perfect. The staff was phenomenal. However, the food was disappointing. The ribeye steak, cooked medium, was so tough I could hardly cut through it. Making a tender steak is not hard so I’m not sure what’s going on here. The braised short rib was nice and tender but the red wine sauce was bland. The food didn’t meet my expectations at all.

   We were visiting for a baking class and were celebrating my birthday- what a pleasant surprise to find such a great place! Service was great but food was even better! We definitely recommend Bocca for a delicious meal with an enjoyable atmosphere where you can have a conversation and enjoy your meal.

    The food was excellent once it finally showed up We were seated at 6 pm and we finally got our entrees at 830 pm We waited on our other couple to join us and they were there at 615 I enjoy a dining experience but 3 hours is entirely too long

    Our server, Graham, was fantastic! Brought our kids to a not typically for kids restaurant and everyone was so kind and thoughtful to them and all of us. Everything we ate was delicious

    Lovely date night location. The drinks were delightful and the service was good, but I feel the food was overpriced. The Arancini was flavorful, as was the bucatini. The snapper was also quite tasty. But in general, the food for the price was just adequate. A little overpriced.

    Absolutely met every expectation! Stag was awesome, dining experience was like being at one of the fine restaurants in Rome or Milan with the quantity of food to match! No a negative moment to the evening! Well done, Bocca! We’ll be back!

    Boca was excellent. The ambiance and food are really simple clean and refined. Food was a bit pricier than some of the other fine dining in Birmingham but overall excellent meal and evening.

    Always excellent, personable service from Tatum! We had the handkerchief pasta, risotto, red snapper, veal marsala, and tiramisu and chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was delicious and filling.

    We called ahead for reservations for my son's sweet 16th celebration. They had a personalized placard waiting on the table and gave us extra special treatment. The cuisine was quite complex, and yet every ingredient complimented the other to perfection. We will definitely be back!
