   The brunch was mediocre at best. We went with a large group and got to try many options. A few of the dishes were pretty good but some were mediocre as were the drinks. Particularly bad were the Gazpacho which was not very fresh but quite oily. Also the olive oil brought with the bread was bitter.

   They food took over 35 minutes to come when others were served who seated after us. And then the servers kept on trying to clear the table and even started cleaning it while we were there and asked us to move our phones to clean the table. Never going back.

   I found the restaurant on OpenTable and was looking for a reservation for five on a Saturday night. The most important thing I would say is that I would highly recommend this restaurant, because the food was fantastic! My family, and I have never been to a Spanish tapas restaurant before but we’re feeling adventurous. Bodegon did not disappoint! The restaurant is extremely clean and warm and inviting. The service was very good. We started with the chef selection of cheeses and accompaniments, it was a fantastic assortment of deliciousness! A few of our favorites were the potatoes, the croquettes, the garlic, chicken, the lamb chops, and of course the fried calamari did not disappoint. Their wine selection and drinks menu are wonderful as well. I’m sorry I did not take any photos. I was enjoying my meal with my family so much. This is a restaurant that you must check out. When I return to Washington DC later in the year, it will be my first stop.

   We got the unlimited brunch. We didn't have many breakfast food but the French Toast was amazing! The more traditional Spanish tapas were quite good. The Sangria was okay.

    The food was amazing, so amazing in fact we lost control of the number of tapas we ordered! It was really that good. In trying to come up with a favorite, we couldn’t. The ambiance was great and will definitely come again. Our ONLY complaint (and it’s not solely on the restaurant) we’re the prices. Everything in DC is too expensive. They could add a little more food to each serving though. But, overall we can’t complain too much about our bill because it was so good (hopefully prices go back down). Outstanding and very highly recommended, and I don’t leave too many reviews.

    First let me start by saying the hostess could take a few pointers in customer service... When we arrived, the hostess was on her phone. Not really a good look. We arrived on time for our 2:30 brunch reservation and upon check in were alerted that brunch would be ending soon. We were puzzled to hear this as online it indicates their brunch ends at 6pm on Sunday. When we brought this to the hostess' attention she had a very nonchalant response. The hostess said she "thinks" it ends at 3 today and that they are changing their hours due to summer coming (although it's only the first week of spring). We were starving and opted to stay anyway but this def left a bad taste in our mouths. Our waitress was very sweet and pleasant, and helped to turn our experience around. She informed us that brunch actually ends at 3:30 now (the menus also indicate this although not updated on the website). A part of me wanted to talk with a manager about this discrepancy since our 2 hour unlimited brunch would be limited to an hour, but I had just left church and was in a forgiving mood. It feels like the number of unlimited food and drink brunch spots in the city are dwindling (who remembers Zengo and Masa 14!?) so I was excited for Bodegón to add to the list. The food is solid, but not extraordinary. The half priced sangria in addition to bottomless mimosas is a nice touch for brunch beverages. This place is relatively new so again, I'll give some grace for working out the kinks but not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

    We chose Bodegon for a pre-theater birthday dinner with friends. It was a great choice! The food was wonderful with the garlic shrimp, seared ahi and lamb chops standing out. The service was excellent. Overall a winner!

    Met up with some old friends, and tapas seemed like the best choice to provide a little something for everyone. First impression when walking in was a clean and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was very helpful in navigating the menu. He was spot on with the recommendations, and it was a great evening with excellent food. If we lived in the area, this would be a frequented location. Bottom line, great spot in the area.

    Our party received not one, not two, but three separate dishes that had hair in them. Wait staff was apologetic but did not seem super concerned. Food was mediocre. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

    For a slow Wednesday night the service was disappointing. The albondigas were cold, croquettes could only have been filled with roux and tasted of flour, calamari appeared to be reused and refried, pan con tomate wasn't toasted, and the tortilla (which only friend had) was bad as well. However, the gambas al ajillo was delicious with a nice hint of spice. Many other tapas places in the city that are significantly better.

    Lively Barracks Row spot with interesting Spanish decor (ornate bolero jackets are on display). Excellent service. The food isn't quite to the level of other Spanish/tapas places in the area, but was good. A little loud even when not crowded- our table of 5 found it hard to hear each other.     First, the brunch tapas were all good. Things fell short with the service. My group of 5 was one of maybe a few tables for the duration of brunch, and yet the attentiveness was as though it was standing room only, while being severely under staffed. Except, none of the latter was the case. It felt we were purposely being portioned our unlimited brunch, and unlimited mimosas. Ridiculous as both are very separate costs almost ensuring at least $75pp when ur done. All this to say, good food, service not so much, could’ve been a one time thing however.     Bodegon is one of our go-to repeater destinations for a warm and wonderful date night. Food and service are always fantastic. Early and midweek is quieter or a bit later is a bit louder so choose according to your desire for conversation over dinner.

    The Open Table reservations do not reflect the actual hours. I made a 11:00 pm reservation and upon arrival was notified that the restaurant was closed. These hours are also reflected at the establishment.

    Our experience at Bodegon was fantastic! The food was great. The tapas were served at different times and the timing was perfect. Our server was attentive, very nice and accommodated all of our requests. We will be going back to Bodegon again and again.

    We had the best brunch ever with delicious food & drinks and wonderful service! Walter our server was awesome! After long nights, we didn’t want to strain our brains choosing which 4 tapas to start with so we allowed Walter to choose EVERYTHING for us, literally each and every round. There was a cold tapas side and a hot tapas side including but not limited to Tomato Bread, Chicken Croquettes, and mussels. It all was absolutely delicious. All of the recommendations were spot on specifically the succulent French Toast which didn’t stay on the table long enough to get pictured!lol Walter was attentive, quick, charming, and took really good care of us. When I asked if they sang or did anything for birthdays, he stated that he doesn’t sing but came out at the end of our meal with a handful of servers and random tables joined in the song bringing her to happy tears. This place is definitely a whole vibe with good food and the friendliest team on earth! We will be back!
