BOGNERS OF PENTICTON
The dedicated Staff operates a private farm in the mornings making them near self-sufficient in the Summer and Fall months.
We've been a few times for the 3 course menu and found the food to be delicious and creative. The menu changes every week based on what's in season and the chef's inspirations. The value for money is excellent, the atmosphere cozy and the service friendly and efficient. It has become one of our favorite places to eat in Penticton.
It was a wonderfully unique dining experience. Informative, fresh and delicious. We loved that the owner served us and explained all the courses.
Owner was our server. He was very attentive. I asked if organic wine was on the menu, and he offered a local winery, not on the menu. We were thrilled with the offering. Meal was delicious!
Overall good. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was a bit chilly, but the item that impacted us most was the couple seated next to us who loudly discussed their plans, their children, upcoming events and amusing items on their phones. It was much nicer when they left.
We got the $35 3 course menu and it was delicious! Good portions, we will definitely be back.
The food and the service were both fairly good, nothing stood out as amazing. The main issue I had is that it took 3 or 4 attempts ordering wine before they had a bottle we were asking for. Considering they only sell wines from vineyard surrounding the restaurant, this is embarrassing.
The food was amazing and chef Darren was very informative, friendly and charming. By far a wonderful experience. Our favourite restaurant
Everything has been exquisite right down to the pavlova. The Manhattan with the sweet vermouth wasn't overpowering at all.
Everything was excellent, the food, the service. Love the ambiance. Definitely recommend Bogners.
Penticton secret, always local , seasonal And great value for outstanding food 🥘
Delicious, fresh, beautiful. Excellent service with very informative staff.
The BBQ menu was great! The gin and tonic was awesome as well. Definitely need to have a complete cocktail list though.
The 5 Course BBQ menu is spectacular! The gin and tonic is surprisingly delicious. Definitely worth it!
Great night out with friends. Halibut was delicious. Menu changes weekly last time I had local chicken in a herb broth. I love to see the garden outside. Fresh veggies everywhere.
Superb! Exceptional attention to detail. A worthwhile dining experience.
First visit to Bogners. Was expecting fine dining but this was more rustic. We went with the choose your own 3-course tasting menu (they don’t do anything a la carte and instead have 3 different “tasting menus”); the food was good (my halibut main was delicious but just slightly overcooked — first bite great but being in parchment, it held the heat and kept cooking). We love Penticton but it doesn’t have a huge restaurant scene. Bogners was good but not amazing.
we had the bbq 5 course. every bite was outstanding. daren came out and actually served us, which was an extra treat. we definitely recommend bogner’s.
I was excited to visit this place because the reviews, but I kind disappointed little bit, only 3 courses on the menu and we have ordered the same course. We have ordered 5 courses $45.00 We know it’s small dishes but we think for two people the portions are little but too small! Special the ravioli may or may not have 10 pieces, I have problem with that. Otherwise the food tasted great! I hope they will increasing the portion little bit bigger for two!
I'm Sorry you feel it wasn't enough. another customer left a review the same nigh, eating the same 5 course menu and had a different result. https://goo.gl/maps/CjMWTUZE4BsK1hU37
Bogners completely exceeded expectations. I will definitely return when I'm in town! Each meal of the 5 course menu was delicious, and reasonably priced. Our waiter was fantastic, and had deep knowledge of each wine pairing.
Really loved the cute little house-style restaurant. Very unique place and the food and service were both very good. We will be back 😄
Darin never disappoints. The combination of flavors and textures are outstanding and the wine pairings compliment the dishes. Sheila is always gracious and presents Darin’s creations with knowledge. This is our favorite restaurant and we love bringing friends and family when they visit us to show off the best upscale restaurant that delivers world class dishes at an incredibly reasonable price. Bogner’s is up there with the best we’ve experience in our extended international travels.
We loved our experience at Bogner's. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. We were the first table at their opening, so it wasn't very busy therefore I can't comment on the noise level. The atmosphere is so wonderful and the owner is a gem. He was also our server and took the time to explain every dish and to answer any questions we had. I wish I lived in Penticton so I could go there on a regular basis!
Food and service was awesome! Would go back anytime!
The building is beautiful, the service attentive, and the food is very good. A very enjoyable evening.
We are long time fans of Bogner’s and never miss it when visiting the city. The Chef is very big on the concept of farm to table and fresh, local ingredients - and it shows in his food. He was out on the floor and spent some time talking with us at the end of our meal. His passion for food made with fresh ingredients grown on site or locally is very obvious, and he is keen to adjust to a kid friendly menu should the need arrive - also with the fresh and tasty ingredients! Great value with his tasting menu options, a wonderful selection of wines or wine pairings, all set in a cozy room with character and ambiance. A must not miss when in Penticton. Thanks!
Good food, good service, best value! Will definitely go back again.
Our evening at Bognar's was very nice, our server was very friendly and very good at her job. The food was delicious. It was a lovely evening with good friends.
Greated upon arrival and the hostess was already expecting us with waters already on the table. :) The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us adequate time! The food was to die for, everything was made in house and was fulk of flavours we have never had before. This place is a must try in the Okanagan!
It was great food and service. Must to go.
It’s one of the better restaurants I Penticton, for good wholesome food, but also price wise.
We eat here often. Food is always consistently excellent. Any issues are quickly rectified (only happened once). Never leave here unhappy or hungry and their wine pairing menu is great too!
Old school dining. Menus are prix fixe , delicious traditional preparations with some updating and a trememdous value. Service managed by one extremely competent and personable gentleman. Proportions were spot on. We enjoyed the experience.
Fine food and great host
We loved Bogners ambiance. I would like to live there. Food was very good and our server was top notch. I would like more of a low carb option in the $35 menu, but I picked around my dish and was quite satisfied.
Its a special place for special occasions for sure.
We've been in Penticton for 14 years and never made it to Bogners, silly us!! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented and we are looking forward to our next visit!
This was a very pleasant surprise in a lovely restored house, a menu that changes every 10 days or so, delicious locally sourced food and friendly helpful service. We will be back.
Make sure to go on a night when no large groups are scheduled to attend
Bogner's does everything they can to accomodate people with food allergies. The Pinot Noir was great too. I want to try the strawberry daiquiri.
Excellent in all ways. The food, the service, the ambiance. It was a delicious experience, and we are looking forward to our next visit.
A wonderful experience!
